I reckon everyone needs an Adrian on a trip - do you hire him out?
😅👌👍🇦🇺
Adrian is a queen
Yasssssss!
Ahhh yes
The kulumbaru rd and the Mitchell falls rd…
Definitely contestants for the worst roads !!!
...yeah - definitely not fantasising about those budgie smugglers aye. 😅
I think you've commented multiple times about the budgies so I think you might be.
@@OverlandTravellers bahaha
Having an Adrian around is the best 👌 the old girl is an easy fix on the rd , easy yes but still hard tho , imagine the future with the fancy electronic 4wds coming our way 😮
Keen to see some good electric 4WDs!
New hiluxs have computer and sensor problems now I wouldn't take one out in the bush
@@OverlandTravellers mabe in 20 years time
Always carry fencing wire and telstra rope will always keep them old girls going till the next town 😅
Dont forget the old sign post leaf spring
I need to hear more about this sign post leaf spring
Doing 50-60 will smash the shit out of any 4x4. The best time of year is in May for the Gibb. The Pentacoast crossing is up to you floor and the waterfalls are running much better.
Yeah probably
Those corrugations are brutal heading up to Drysdale River hey 😂 good times
🚜 🚜 🦽🦽 🏥🏥🤕🤕😱😱
Guys thank you for this so nice to see some B rolls just loved it hope you never have to deal with a "road" like that again. Followed you and seen this trip before but just loved this. And yes so nice to have Adrian with you what a jem! 😊
He is a gem!
I think I'd skip the crocs....
Them champion twin gas cookers how do you find them are they good do u recommend them
Does what it says on the box :) Not sure about its longevity but we have used it for a while no worries. Built in wind shields are nice.
@@OverlandTravellers also a champion cooker similar to a Weber or ziggy be heaps cheaper but I got to look into that one a bit more 😉
Go the budgy smugglers 😄
Hey guys, just wondering what permits youse needed for the trip?
Dont need any mate.
Another amazing video. Thank you for the continued inspiration to be better 👌😁
"Man cologne"? Don't forget WD40 is also a good underarm deodorant. You'll be that Babe Magnet you always wanted to be.
lower tyre pressures and find your speed on corrigations
Tyres were at about 15 and there wasn’t really a good speed to go on them, they were just too big and too many corners
A pair of thong foam under the battery helps with vibration
Sacrificing your thongs as bushings for the radiator mounts will help as well and spin effects grass resin will help with sealing the hubs
Hey,
I don’t know why you’re running with full tyre pressure… you just rattle everything loose..
lower your tyre pressure and you’re good to go! You’re running smooth as then.
Hey mate, we were down to around 13-16 psi, not normal pressures. Pretty sure we mentioned that a few times in the video. Sometimes it’s so rough the pressures can only do so much. Remember the car was rough 40 years ago let alone now 👍🏼
Yeah right :) in that slow motion caption (around 43:40min) both types looked pretty pumped up. That’s why I mentioned it. All good! Keep on going.
good vid guys like the old landcruiser hi from orkney...be safe..
Always good to carry some fencing wire .
The road hasn’t changed.
Awesome feature length! is there a rundown on Adrian's setup?
Just found your channel- great work.
You done your outer diff seal. Love the show guys.
Last time I was at Pt Warrender was in 1983, good to see not much has changed
beautiful work, very beautiful the Kimberley
Loving the 40 series!
I love to see it just after the wet season.Great vlog thank you .
Next time, chuck the chicken in the water
What was the year of manufacture of your vehicle? How many miles or km had she done when you started the journey?
It’s a 1981. No idea about kms but I think it’s in the realm of 500-700 thousand kms
Aish 😮 too many headaches on this adventure 😪 , you guys are legends 😊 keeping the wheels 🛞 rolling 😉
Thanks for sharing this episode 🙏
Greetings and cheers Mate 🍻 from south africa 🇿🇦
Guys I think your best video, finally on TH-cam some honesty about the Gibb and how rough it is, so many say drive to the conditions and you will be fine, you guys have shown it is rough, it is hard but most importantly it is worth the challenges . It’s on my bucket list the challenge is I am sure you will agree what makes it special and memorable. Greatest job .
Thank you!
Looking forward to your next round with new troopy
So are we!
😝👍💯💯💯
That was Brilliant. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Having a old truck is cool n all.. but just not worth it 😂 unless u wanna keep it as a collectors item driving around town once in a while😅
Why would ya say that? Just curious. I’m a Nissan Patrol Td42ti coil ute owner 2004 model, with a 18g turbo & bigger intercooler & it fully hauls ass & is so reliable my last engine i replaced at 860K & my new engine is on 350K’s both engines push’n 25psi boost & I’ve never turned the key & not started… Now this dude is driving a old Landcruiser troopy & the old horse’n cart era crap leaf springs is the main fault & let down in these old trucks.. Chucka turbo & cooler on these old Landcruiser’s & if they got the money? A coil spring modification makes these old cruiser’s 100 times better than all these modern IFS twin cab & ute models, like the ford ranger’s for example yeh engines are built badly that let go around 75K’s & the crap gearboxes Go read the Ford Ranger forums & read about the endless engine failures out of a $75 to $85k vehicles that are modern vehicles 2020-2022-3….. & your run’n down these Grouse old Reliable A F diesel troopy’s … I tell ya i rather my old tech TD42TI engine in my Nissan Patrol Ute or one of these old Landcruiser Troopy or Utes than any of these modern common rail high tech diesel vehicles with their DPF, Expensive injection pumps & injector’s & vehicles all made in Thailand & Mexico , no wonder they are all crap as ya can’t beat the Japanese Engineering Quality..
@@triggerhappy8872 mate, you cant compare a 2004 patrol to a 40 series.. btw, you wont know what is driving in comfort until you drive a late model 4x4… i know they are complicated machines but well worth the money spent.
I agree mate a 2004 patrol would be like a rolls Royce compared to the 47. And you mention before they are cool to drive around town every now and then and that’s the plan…. Restore it properly and have a nice shed ornament to get out once in a while
@@OverlandTravellers yeah mate, i am still kicking myself for not jumping on a chance to buy a bj40 for dirt cheap price few years back.. now they are demanding unreasonable price for rust buckets. Always liked 40 series 😀
Got my 2006 1HZ Troopy, WR250R, Quintrex 3.5 fully set up. As a welder fabricator I'm building my custom trailer for both. Later this year I'm off for 2yr plus lap. Love ya stuff guys.
No one asked no one cares mate
