- How to exchange USD to North Korean Won (KPW)?
This store is one of our favorite, it seems this store may have never been visited by foreigners except us Indonesian, every time we came here, we only saw locals who shopped. There are many Indonesian products from cosmetics to daily meals, from stationaries to storages, the price is cheaper (much more reasonable) than any other stores, and the waitresses were very friendly and we can redeem USD/Euros to KPW using the much better exchange rate than the Local Money Changers reserved for foreigners.

What do you trade? And do the diplomats of both countries regularly meet?
@@anneeq008 We have an embassy in NK and they also have one in Jakarta. The relationship goes way back when we were part of this friendship circle with China and USSR back then.

Very true and I have also brought up this fact and he has removed my comments from some of his other video comments. JAKA is just a pawn for NK propaganda, and he films only what the NK propaganda machine wants him to film. He even admitted that when he went into the rural areas he was not allowed to film, he could only take photo's and I'm sure that was monitored also.

Not really MOSTLY from CHINA; cars, goods, food stuff rice living goods are from CHINA ; DPRK is already ECONOMICALLY a part of CHINA ~~

It all comes through China, nothing is imported directly from Japan. NK has a growing black market and many open air markets, and the only reason this is happening is that the government takes their cut. Before they wouldn't allow it, but the people did it anyway. Be careful what you say about JAKA he is quick to remove from his comments. Let's see how fast it takes him to remove this one?
I know it comes from CHINA. I know that they are ECONOMICALLY a part of CHINA. I do a lot of RESEARCH on DPRK and I OBSESS over it because it FASCINATES me. lol I still want to visit despite everything.

Because they have many workers. So they need on duty.
Well it will be more easy because u just need to give your thing to the workers and they will bring it to the cashier so it’s easy than u need to bring a shoping basket

Why is it in most of your videos the people working in the stores are wearing outdoor coats/jackets? Don't they heat their buildings in the winter?
So that automatically means its a fact. You could not prove this if you wanted to. Go visit there sometime and then tell me how bad it is.

North Korean chicks are not getting plastic surgery. It's pretty clear that the regime hires the hottest chicks to work at the stores cuz they want to put their best foot forward for visitors.

Most women don't get plastic surgery even if they are able to afford it. It's actually not that common outside of the entertainment industry. You can see pretty women all over the world.

So this might just be me overthinking things, but girl at 1:42 has a different accent to other North Koreans I've heard.
Figureight I do agree with you. In some of these videos... it definitely doesn't sound like NKorean. And of course, there's some different dialects or accent but there is a typical way of speaking korean since the language has been "purified" from other countries influences and the accent is usually the same for everybody (you're supposed to speak in a certain way to sound "patriot").
