Wow. I've never had a crash with SP in Civ 5
For the "declare war on AI" thing:
You have an ALTENERATE option, instead of a trade.
You can go into Diplomacy sreen, and go into the "discuss" option.
There you can ask for a war to come. AI might decline, and that will come with some diplomatic malus, or at least a timer where you can ask again. I don't remember actuallay, but it is possible!

If you want to know whether someone wants to buy a strategic resource, you can ask "what will you give me for this?" if they propose anything, they will buy. If you sell one at a time on standard speed, you can get 2gpt each. (1.5 per horse gets rounded up)

If only Robot was as good at pronouncing Polish cities names as he is at the game

      Is that a marketable skill?

With such military-minded Civs nearby, I'd rather overreact than be caught underhanded like the Song against the Mongols in real history...

Shaka was at war, maybe you could have got him to make peace, then declare on Askia

It’s funny how good filthy is, but because he always plays with real players, he doesn’t know how ai behaves in trading.

I'd easily trade Askia one of my cities for that glorious sword he's holding. Man, that looks great. A bit odd that he would use an european sword and not a curved one like a scimitar though.

Curved swords were not solely used by Muslims, just as straight swords were not solely used by Europeans.
