Hey Joey, here's great tip for you that's going to save you $$$ on ultrasonic cleaner fluid. If your parts are small enough to fit into a gallon-sized ziplock bag (the good kind like Hefty, not the dollar store brand), then put your parts in that ziplock bag with enough cleaner so that the items will be covered. Then, fill up your ultrasonic cleaner with water and NOT your cleaner solution. What matters most with ultrasonic cleaners is the transfer of the sonic waves, or whatever you want to call it, through the fluid, but there's no reason to waste a bunch of cleaner solution all at one time. Trust me - this is how I clean my small parts. Those sonic waves will travel through the water, through the bag, through the cleaning fluid in the bag, and viola! Clean part. The only time I use actual cleaner solution in my ultrasonic cleaner is if the part I want to clean can't fit into a ziplock bag.
Tip on ultrasonic cleaners for particularly dirty parts- if you put the part being cleaned in a off the shelf plastic bag with just enough cleaning solution, you can avoid fouling the solution in the tank. I use this trick at work for oily tools and parts since contaminating our large ultrasonic with oil wouldn't be acceptable.
Joey for the ultrasonic cleaner there is a minimum fill line that you need to fill it up to you haven’t filled to that line if its not filled correctly it can damage the ultrasonic cleaner
that is a design flaw, btw why is the cable flat, would it not be better if it was round so that problem was more obvious and the person who opened it was more aware about the placement about the cable?
Awesome video as always Joey my brother and always loving your strong vibes mate. Keep smashing the content mate. Can’t wait for your next video mate. Go my man Joey love you brother and love your videos 😊
I saw some rust where the ribbon cable got into with the ps5. but it can also be I got a little delusional as I saw so much rust this day on other YT videos 😅
On a different note i have a cctv camera, the power management chip popped, this is on top side of the board, underside about half inch away from area is the image sensor, I'd like to fix it but like many they'd throw it in the bin. At this point it's already beyond eco rep, cost of camera cost of chip and delivery. I don't have low melt, just leaded solder and heat gun and solder iron any help on temp, my max heat on hot air is 480
what are these people doing? i like to take most of my household appliances with me into the bathroom but so far i have only dropped a few into the bath, the toaster was funny , they need to safely balance them around the edge and not just throw them around
What's with the recent influx of people trying to use electronics as soap in the bath??? Jeeeeesus.... at least they haven't tried using a toaster or a hair dryer.
Is the spreadsheet really spectacular? I mean, it looks like something i'd put together in mere minutes. I'm sure there must be some backstory to it! Love your channel though, so i hope i didnt offend anyone 😅
I am pretty sure that at the beginning of the season he said that he'll be using different sources and in the future he'll be selling on his own website. At the end of the day, he's getting parts and items which keep me entertained so idc
You updating those summary values manually irks me no end, it can be sorted with sumifs and counts, drop me a message if you want me to sort it for you.
Great catch on the ribbon cable. Shows why inspection is important and not to be tunnel visioned
Whats with the people dropping electonics in the bath and sending it to you lmao?
It’s their bereaved relatives sending them in. 😂😂😂😂
They do it on purpose to get on the show!

You can also minimize the solution you use by filling the tank with distilled water and only putting solution in bags with parts.

3:51 he said it 🎉
10:29 Pop by heating water inside pcb.
After ultrasonic cleaning - Dry the board 20min on 120°C-125°C before working on it with the heat gun.
I like this series, it's a lot of fun to watch. Thank you!
I love this!
The Switch screen has a screen protector on it - so probably a good condition screen/digitizer there, @Joey Does Tech
Wow, that pizza really did wonders for you mate 😂
Great video Joey!
I enjoy every episode which minimizes the sight of those gloves.
Woohooo! at last! Joey Does Catch A Break :)
Glad you got a win there Joey!
Crazy how a botched ribbon cable that’s literally only for the LED can shut off an entire console like that.
that is a design flaw, btw why is the cable flat, would it not be better if it was round so that problem was more obvious and the person who opened it was more aware about the placement about the cable?
It's not a flaw if you work for Sony. It's a feature @runeingebretsen8378
The ultrasonic cleaner is a truly crucial device for this type of activity
Awesome video as always Joey my brother and always loving your strong vibes mate. Keep smashing the content mate. Can’t wait for your next video mate. Go my man Joey love you brother and love your videos 😊
4:49 "It like it's been droped in a bath" 🫥
Lmaooo that face you made 😂
Try a flux atomiser pen to find exactly where a short might be. Can sometimes be much more accurate than a thermal camera
Easy money for a change! Nice
Nice one
I like the way you say HaychDMI cord
10:35 that is called delamination ... rip board 💀
I wonder if you can just swap over the main components over to a donor board with a dead APU or smth (and same revision) and it'll work
The Cod3r did a 15 minute rant about that cable. Major problem with those consoles.
When the ps5 sells your gonna finally be in the green. Good job Joey! You really did luck out man.
There's only so many switches and playstations i can watch one man fix 😂
There’s another series called Joey Learns :)
I saw some rust where the ribbon cable got into with the ps5. but it can also be I got a little delusional as I saw so much rust this day on other YT videos 😅
you know, if I dropped my device in a bath I would at least take the time to clean the outside 😂😂😂😂
it looked so greasy?
obviously joking, but you know... if the opprotunity presents itself ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Face has been welcomed!
That's definitely a design flaw, they could easily route it a different way

From bad luck to extremly good luck! What a nice and easy fix!
makes you wonder how many of those have been binned because of that ribbon cable issue.
Any reason for not replacing LCDs on switches?
Will you fix anything other than switches and Xboxes? I love the repairing but getting so samey, only so many of the same repair I can take
Once again: DO NOT PUT CRYSTAL OSCILLATORS IN AN ULTRASONIC CLEANER.
day 19 of asking joey for his fluke multimeter
I’m waiting for the first ps5 pro repair 😆
So am I haha!
ebay fees and shipping costs take almost half the profit, i would think alternatives
It's free now they don't charge fees anymore
On a different note i have a cctv camera, the power management chip popped, this is on top side of the board, underside about half inch away from area is the image sensor, I'd like to fix it but like many they'd throw it in the bin. btw -- also hope it was really bath and not the brown swirly bath :D
I would think that a good used PS5 goes for more. Hopefully it does
port looked jacked up to me 😐
Hi Joey, I'm wanting to replace my battery and thumb sticks for my PS4 controller. Where is the best place to buy the parts?
When i go to your ebay store it says "We are sold out, but here are some other Shops you may be interested in." ?
Yeah that's what I hate about selling on ebay is that they tax around 15% per sale so u lose profits on that alone.
When did you get an ultrasonic cleaner, joey .. thought you never had any room
Joey can you do other electronics thats not switches and xboxes?
There is another series called Joey Learns :)
How recent were this videos recorded? Just asking as eBay is free to sell on now and they don't charge any fees for selling.
first

this version of excel confuses and annoys me, I always skip it
Is the spreadsheet really spectacular? I mean, it looks like something i'd put together in mere minutes. I'm sure there must be some backstory to it! Love your channel though, so i hope i didnt offend anyone 😅
joey, how come your paying ebay fee's when they scrapped them at the start of the month ?
They didn’t scrap them for business sellers
id stay away from swimming electronics or at least get them shower cap🤔
Can I buy one of your next Xbox or PlayStation 5 you fix please?
You put the switch sale price into Sally wrong you put the price excluding the selling fees it says including
Getting free or cheap broken bits from viewers is cheating the profit and loss. May as well sell it to them as well for 150% normal sale price
I'd say for the new goal he has it's not really.

Didn't think ebay had fees anymore ?
@@minecraft-wb9tb he's a business seller which still incurs fees. Private sellers no longer have fees
Only for personal sellers. Joey sells under a business account
@flashdacoolboi oh I see 👀 thanks 👍
It's free to sell on eBay now why are you getting charged fees
It’s not free they take around 15-20%
@joeyounan55 in the UK it's completely free now, I sell on eBay myself and I'm not charged a penny
@@2SmokeyGuru sorry completely forgot he’s in the UK
@@joeyounan55 all good bro a lot of people don't know about it tbh
I’m a business seller, we still have fees even in the UK.
