      exactly man,look I get apartheid was wrong and oppressed the black people but instead of making peace and moving on,they are going for land reform like that of Zimbabwe,take all the land you want without any technology and no knowledge of what to do with that land you will die of hunger and poverty anyway and this is what happens when you refuse development and promote violence.

    Give Zimbabwe a break. African countries have been colonized for centuries, the international world benefitted from the slavery of the African population, allow Africans space to reconstruct their countries the way they deem fit. It's about the Europeans focused on their own affairs and leave Africans alone. Zimbabwe will rise with time.

    • @musajohannessithole8970
      @musajohannessithole8970 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Shoudday Cha The countries you are mentioning are not as rich as Africa in minerals. Hence colonizers did not have as much direct investment as they still do in Africa. Colonizers never realy left Africa, they put their stooges in power. African leaders who turned against colonizers were assassinated. SA never had internal wars but colonizers and their offsprings own more than 90% of the SA land. Yes, it's an emotional matter. If you had gone through our experiences, you would as well, no human being can get joy from oppression and its consequences. We will never stop talking about the evil systems of slavery, colonialism and apartheid. We will keep on imparting the history, experiences and consequences thereof so that our offsprings understand what caused their economic situation and how to determine their fate. Despite purportedly leaving SA, France just offered to stop handling finances of African countries. France never left Africa. Western countries are rich from extracting African minerals for free. Should that not be an emotional issue. You cannot instruct me on how to grief over what we have gone through or are still goin through as Africans. One thing you need to note is that we are different from the generations which were taken advantage of by the West. The internal wars were instigated by colonizers.

    • @lukedetering4490
      @lukedetering4490 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a problem many African nations have. They have plenty of resources, but have corrupt governments that only work for their own interests and dont care for their people. If they had governments that cared for their people they could be super wealthy countries, especially the non-landlocked ones. Granted, colonization did suck some resources out, but their is still plenty of untapped potential

    • @matthew22nz
      @matthew22nz 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ryan R is an imbecile who probably couldn’t even spell ‘history’
      The colonists didn’t suck Zimbabwe dry of any resources, infact, the decades of hardwork, financial investment, and technical expertise gave the country a booming farming sector which made it the most prosperous country in Africa per capita at the time of the handover to black majority rule. However decades of corruption, neopotism and incompetence under Mugabe has long destroyed all that.
      Although the country is fortunate enough to possess vast natural resource wealth, it isn’t quite that simple, you see to take advantage of these natural resources typically requires a significant financial investment upfront, for example to locate the resource and then build the infrastructure to extract. Unfortunately Zimbabwe just doesn’t have this kind of money anymore, and the big foreign companies that do, steer well clear of of the country due to its notorious corruption.
      And so tragically, these valuable natural resources just sit idle while the people slowly eek out their lives.
