Same as movies, they take a lot of time and cost more just for a couple hour experience.
not nearly as much as they used to. the only reason you can watch an entire season in a day is because they don't do full 24-26 episodes per season anymore...nowadays it's half that. they're "done" in 3 months and most of the "work" is post production/editing.

I love Natasha Lyonne and I love Russian Doll but I don't understand how there could be a second season. The show is perfect as is.
D Mc I totally agree. However IMHO there’s only one thing that might work, is that she has a Quantum Leap reoccurring quantum entanglement with another ‘Looper’ and she has to figure out who it is and how to solve their problem. At least at this point she understands what is going on, but now has to find her way back to linear time.

Actually, there's a high chance for a second season. If you rewatch the final scene where she and Allan joined the parade at the end. You'll see 2 versions of Nadia pass her by. Which indicates that there's 3 versions of Nadia roaming. The one with Allan at the end. And two others alone who failed at saving Allan. You should go back and see the final scene. This show is brilliant and will make you think all sorts of theories.

Look up Natasha Lyonne and set it for long interviews. There are some incredibly good ones that are quite obscure. After drugs and before Orange and Russian Doll. She has always been an amazing heartfilled one of a kind visionary. Checkem' out. She was generous with her life stories and philosophy. Enjoy!

You should, it's really good! I can't give the best praise without giving too much away sadly, but honestly it's one of those shows that blends genres easily, deals with serious issues but in a perfectly balanced, non-depressing (and not at all forced) way. It's mostly fun, actually. But with a HUGE heart. And in the end you'll understand how & why it resonates so much, I think. Go watch it! Cheers

Exactly. Not everything needs to be a sequel. Most of the time sequels are just a way to make more money and they don't actually serve the show/film.
Amen, one of the things that makes me hesitate most about starting to watch new TV shows, is that I never know if they'll even end. I prefer something short that tells a complete story to a 200-episode behemoth of a show that just meanders and doesn't know what to say.
Oh, and that note, another pretty excellent funny show that is on Netflix is Chewing Gum :D It's a British sitcom with 12 episodes, a satisfying finale and an absolute joy of a main character, who's played by the woman who also wrote and directed every episode. You should watch it!
Russian Doll is a masterpiece. After my first watch I was pumped to find out what happens next.
On a rewatch, I took it in more holistically, and realized that we don't need to find out what happens next. What happens next is life. It's the daily struggle to remind ourselves that life is big and a million things and 10 billion different people can make it rich and remind us of how much it's worth living. We need to break out of our bubbles and reach out to touch someone else's life. It's too easy to get caught in your own "loop."
I'm really glad that Netflix has pushed so many projects in the past few years that really ask their audience to confront and destigmatize mental illness, and destigmatize people who seek treatment for mental illness.

I like watching things start to finish and not having to wait years to see how things end. Dam game of thrones....i have been waiting like a decade to see how that ends.

Why is Seth Meyers so much better than Jimmy Fallon?
Because Fallon is too fake. They're all guilty of it to a degree but Fallon takes it to another level.

Because Seth is a human being and Fallon is a robot filled with pop culture references and sadness.
Alex Daniel because jimmy comes off as trying too hard. Seth seems more natural and doesn’t mind showcasing his staff of writers. He just really seems like he is not full of himself and just enjoys making his audience laugh.
Well in all fairness that is the lowest possible bar. Everyone is better than that unfunny hack.

Over the course of this show... (okay first episode), I developed a sincere and impassioned crush on this woman.
She is stunning. Definitely a striking face that helps an actress and mannerisms that draw you in. It's so hard not to pay attention to her when she comes into a scene.

I've watched the entire show three times lol. I thoroughly enjoyed the show all three times. Written beautifully, i don't think it needs a second season; the ending was perfect.
