Biggest inspirations that got me interested in vlogging were Casey, Jesse Wellens, Phil DeFranco and Hank Green. Expect to see influences of each on a regular basis until I discover and settle into my own style.

I know that they have a production company at their disposal and that the shots aren't incredibly complex.but I'm always surprised with how well these Vlog style videos are composed.

I love how open and simple these vlogs are. No emphasis on making things needlessly exciting, it's just Burnie sharing what he sees, feels, thinks, and does.
Burnie, I've been consuming Rooster Teeth's content since the original season of Red v Blue. I've been a MONSTER FAN of your team's business approach and cultivation of team and values. I honestly (within reason) work so hard with my team to create a space where ideas are shared and that the best idea (and usually funniest) wins out.
The Rooster Teeth content seems to speak to me as a consumer. It FEELS like I'm friends with Gavin and Mike and Gus and Ashley and Barb. And it FEELS like I'm friends with Burnie Burns. With no other entertainment outlet do I feel more connected with content creators like this and that's from my 38 years of souring my head with movies and music and gaming. I don't want to just meet the members of Rooster Teeth -- you make me dream of working there. And you push me to make my spaces as open and creative.
Just keep up the good work, man. And you may not always inspire professionals to create content but you sure have pushed me to cultivate a style of culture.
Also, it was nice to hear Michigan mentioned in the vlog. Love my state. :)
I think the two-way conversation of online media is its greatest strength.
The two-way conversation is a fantastic vehicle. It seems like I am witnessing a common thread with the sense of emotional intelligence with your crew. Now, we should always keep in mind that media like this can be addictive in its voyeurism so it is so easy to skew what feels like reality and how your business actually works when the cameras are turned off.
But...man, it certainly feels like if folks are not in a good mood and finding ways to contribute to the Rooster Teeth culture than they really don't belong there. And that culture seems to be rooted in a set of core values surrounding "happiness", "content", "laughter", and importantly "deadlines".
Oh, also -- get ready to be on camera at any time. Period. Whoever you are -- just be ready.
There's just something...deeper in the organism of RT. And if anyone should be writing a story about RT it should certainly not be "um...how do you make money on TH-cam." It SHOULD be "how have you cultivated and sustained your business and its culture?"
Funny people find the funny. Finding and hiring funny people that are better at being funnier than you and then getting them to stay is something else entirely.

Other than red vs blue I'd never seen anything made by rt until a few months ago, when I found funhaus. They fit right in when it comes to feeling like they're my friends. With out them, I would have missed out on all of rt. If you're friends can't say f u to your face than you're doing something wrong.

I stated watching Rooster Teeth around when I heard buzz of this Lazer Team movie when I was at a theather that had it playing in California. I a few months I've been watching/ reading sone of its history from Rvb and let's play. it crazy to see it grow so much it's very exponential.
This is a great comment to show why we make projects like LT. They help new people discover us either by watching something that is a shorter experience or because media tends to report on it.
These vlogs are one of the things I look forward to the most from you guys. I love hearing about what's going on behind the scenes and Burnie is just entertaining to listen to.
The drone shots always look so beautiful
Starkiller100 although he might be doing them illegally now. ever since FAR part 107 came out last august the FAA made it illegal to use drones (including footage) for commercial use without a radio pilots certificate. I'm not saying Bernie doesn't have one, but since it didn't get a lot of news the new laws are surprisingly unknown to most people.
Burnie is a smart guy, I'm sure he knows what he's doing and if he realises he is doing something wrong he'd do the right thing in response

I think Burnie breaking that is not a bad thing. It is showing the flaws in the product and makes consumers more informed about the product and any problems it may have. If people do decide to purchase it, those who watch these vlogs will know to avoid doing the same thing.

If Nintendo views this as an issue to cause a rift between RT and themselves, that would sadden me as I have always considered their hardware standards to be high, and if flaws are later found, they are quickly addressed. If anything, I think pre-releases like these could be considered free product testing by representatives of the public, as well as promotion. I can understand his perspective of course, and I wasn't trying to attack Burnie for it, just trying to show that his accident can be seen as a generally good thing for consumers and Nintendo as a whole.

This is one of my favorite BTS vlogs that RT/Burine does. It's really cool to see what Burnie does on a day to day / week to week basis. I'd love to see a Gus vlog or a Gavin vlog.

As Rooster Teeth grows, it's great to see Burnie continue to challenge himself by doing vlogs. Must be hard work, and it's clearly shown in the vlogs so far!
The challenge is that it's just really consistent work on top of everything else I have to do. I probably shoot 10x what I use. I had to cut a segment of this that was really cool because I found out that what I shot was technically an illegal activity that other people were doing.
Could you expand on this Mr. Burns?

It's crazy to see how far you guys have come. Just watched the first season of red vs. blue the other day. Quite the nostalgia pill. So crazy to think how difficult it was for me to get those videos back when you guys first started.
I just wanted to say how beautiful and breathtaking the opening shots and drone shots are. From crashing into the side of a building to now shots like this. It was just gorgeous. Also I love how much roosterteeth has grown I started watching rvb when I was in high school. It so amazing to see how far this company and community has come and I'm blown away that the city of Austin had no idea what a gem they had hidden in there city. Oh my gosh this video is BEAUTIFUL! I love the tilt shift effect at 0:19, it makes the whole scene look like miniatures.
This is by far one of the best vlogs ive ever watched. its actually informative and has a point compared to most vloggers now on youtube. Not to mention ive been a RT fan for years now so this is great to see! Keep up the amazing work!

I've been watching nearly every RT video (not as much nowadays due to the sheer mass of content you guys put out!) for about 8 years now. It's crazy to me how much you guys have expanded and grown, I actually found you guys through watching Achievement Hunter guides for Assassin's Creed II back in the day, and then found your back catalog and watched every episode of RvB and the podcast that you guys had released and from then on I was hooked. I was in my early teens at the time, so the sole reason I got my first debit card growing up was because that was the only way I could pay online for a sponsorship. Here I am about to graduate college, and I have to say RT has played a huge part in that chapter. Keep up the good work man
I love these vlogs. They're so simple but really fascinating in a way that we get a glimpse into RT and Burnie's life, yet it still feels like he's talking to everyone like they're his friends. A production company or any content creator for that matter that communicates with its audience like they're friends makes it so much easier to support them

As someone forced to move from Austin a month ago -- I already miss it so much. I know literally everyone says this, but I legit wish there were something I could do at RT so I could work for an amazing company like that in an amazing place again. I love how you guys seem to have so much love and caring for every member of your staff. Just wish I could be a part of it.

Thank you Bernie for years of hilarious content. Been a fan of Rooster teeth for almost 13 years, and it has been a ride watching the channel grow. Rooster Teeth inspired my friend to tap into his creative side and myself to try my hand at a business venture (Albeit a different style of business). Burnie, you're a huge inspiration to me. Started watching RoosterTeeth in 2012, and I've loved every video I've seen by yourself and your amazing team. I've just been accepted into a film school here in the UK, and one of the reasons I chose to go there was the attention they pay to the online video industry-an interest I found through RT. Thanks for the inspiration and heres hoping our paths cross in the future!

the music at the end made me smile so big i love how far rooster teeth has come, i started watching a little before the first minecraft lets play episode 1 came out and im astounded how well they are still doing. being able to make movies, have various channels with different segments and even with an anime, it's all so great. i love you rooster teeth keep it up nya 🐓😁

I've been a massive rooster teeth fan for years and years. My favourite thing about roosterteeth is that the content is ever changing, I feel I have out grown some of the shows as I have enter mid 20's (let's plays) but there is alway new and fresh content for every age demographic that keeps me coming back. It's entertainment that ages as I do and I love it. Thanks for the amazing content I love it :)
The biggest Alamo Drafthouse is being built in Springfield, MO right now! My hometown! Rooster Teeth should totally stop by when its finished!
Props department works on so many amazing things from shenanigans to immersion to your full productions - it would be amazing to see an RT Doc about them!
