Thanks for the video! My sister accidentally glued a shirt to the back seat (with fabric glue, of course) and it's bothered me for a long time (it's not comfortable to sit on). Now I feel like I can actually replace that myself from a scrap Corolla and I won't have to shell out hundreds of dollars to get it reupholstered
Interesting that various people report bolted loops at rear of seat bottom cushion yet here we clearly see that the cushion is retained only by heavy snaps and elastic loops. It might be that people mix up model years or that Toyota has two versions.
Hey there! Thx for the video. Do you know how to get it to snap back in? I have a 2010 Yaris seat is up and I can’t get it back in only stuck up by the rear there where your lower back would be. Back of seat.
1. Lower the head restraint to the lowest position. 2. Pull the seat position adjusting liver up. Then slide the rear seat fully forward. 3. Pull the seatback angle adjusting lever up and fold the seatback down. Each seatback may be folded separately. 4. Flip over the deck board.

For some reason the back upper part of the seat in my 2010 is SO hard to unscrew. I tried today with a friend and socket wrench and it didn’t budge. Any ideas on why??
Before starting removing the rear seat from the base just confirm that you have all the required tools like a socket set, ratchet, wrench, screwdriver, and a plastic bag for removing the car seat. Use WD-40 for easier removal of rusted and stuck bolts/nuts
I'm going to try this. I put down the 60/40 folding seats to clean behind there and now the 60% side won't lock in the upright position but I think one of the seat belt buckles is stuck behind there so now I think I can fix it myself LOL
He just stuck his hand under the seat and popped it up. I don’t see what latch or button is supposed to be pushed or how it all works. Can someone explain this?
hi , Car is a 2005 Toyota Corolla S I would like to increase my cargo room abit more as I am using the car as a mail carrier/courier job I feel the rear seats in the back are ok. However I was wonder if it was possible to just only remove the backs only? the backs do fold down but always at a stant wondering if i can fully remove them \and keep the regular seats still there for the back? thanks
Video did not help. I am having difficulty getting bottom seat cushion lifted. You did something in the video, but you did not explain. Would have been much more helpful with verbal instructions and a lot less wobbly camera and unnecessary mic noise, heavy breathing and grunting and music.
Use your muscles and common hand tools to pull it out. Hell maybe try doing it with one had holding a cell phone to record it while you're at it since you have it all figured out. Use your brain and quit being a whiney twat.
Get into the car, facing the back seat. Insert your hands, push and pull towards you and to the back of the car ... while lifting it at the same time. Sometimes the hook is deformed or rusted. Every push, pull, and lift the seat got loosened and will come out eventually
The most helpful video on youtube showing removing rear seats in toyota corolla. Thanks.

Yes my friend this is a good idea so you can do it successfully. So do it and in the end you will be a hero!

Thanks. This helped me get the rear seats out of my 2009 Pontiac Vibe.

I would say that in newer models like mine, Toyota has made significant progress in this regard and made it simpler and easier
Thank you for this 😊

What size socket wrench did you need to remove those bolts? 10mm? 12mm?
Any chance you tried and found what size?

You hit the target with that remark
If you have a set of sockets you go trying until you find the size that fits
Marvelous. I also looked at your other video on how to get the front passenger (and driver) seat out. Thank you!
Be well my friend. I thank you
Very helpful video, thanks

Great item to have and easy to maintain.

Joe Ortiz That actually explained it perfectly for me thanks man
The music ruins the video They should have no music just tell the secrets of how to get seat out.
