There I was moaning that the UK Top 40 was all electronica, then this comes along, a jewel of rock 'n' roll loveliness. Laura Marie is a serious axe talent that recalls to me, in a very good way, inspiration as Poison Ivy of the Cramps, Joey Santiago of the Pixies, the simplicity of the White Stripes and the cussedness of the Fall.
Now that's what I'm talking about! Blood Red Shoes is baaaack!!! Awesome single.
