You make a beautiful sound on your instrument. The chord progression here is one I think I can grasp. I am enjoying the very pleasing sound of the octave mandolin thanks to this channel. Thank you !
Thank you so much Emma! It is really one of my all time favorites! I was really hoping you would give a lesson on this after I watched your beautiful performance. Such a wonderful arrangement and beautiful chords! I will surely try this but I think it will be a challenge on the tuning GDAD (Irish Bouzouki).
@@michaelkarlsson5966 yes, they are the same, the Irish bouzouki has a bit longer scale and is tuned GDAD. If I tune it GDAE then it becomes an octave mandolin.
I play a standard mandolin and thinking of an Octave, where I live the Gold tone is available but I'm looking at an Eastman, do you have a recommendation an Eastman or Goldstone?

Thanks so much! I bet you can make it work! Might have to make a couple small adjustments:)
sorry, I'm a novice. Isn't octave mandolin and irish bouzouki kind of the same instrument or at least tuned the same way?

That is exciting! I bet you will love the octave. I don’t actually! I have never played either of those brands of octave mandolins before
