I bought the 605 based on your review. So glad I did. Love it. Almost plays itself. Please include the titles of the pieces you play on your vids in the descriptions. Thanks, you guys are great!
Glad that we could help! We also do include the performance link & title in the description, looks like this one was "Sally Anne": th-cam.com/video/70NQIvG2QnU/w-d-xo.html Thanks so much for watching!
I might have to agree with the previous reviews comment --less chitchat and more playing! Or as an experiment put out two videos one with all playing and another one with mostly talk and see which one gets the most likes! Those who want to know the details and don’t want to look the details will watch The talking video -and those who just want to hear only the instruments to compare and contrast the tone will stick to the music only one. Both of you guys are nice enough but I just don’t want to hear you talk for 80% of the video.
I love all the talking. But maybe you should announce at the beginning of the video where to skip to for the playing part of the video? Just a suggestion.
@@AcousticShoppe I did not realize that. I learn something new every day. Thank you for all the great videos. I love the reviews and duets. The Mustache needs its own channel!
Hmmm. I like the look of the new MDO605 but I have to say that tonally, I preferred the MDO305. They are similar but the MDO305 had a bit more body to it, at least from the bad computer speakers I'm using . :-) Thanks for another great video.
Oh, Yeah - 605 for me, please. I can't get over how different they sound from each other. I just sold my Mandola today, so I'm missing those lower tone notes! Great video, as usual. This one with the clean-shaven Jeremy!
Does the MDO605 feel better to play? I think they both look and sound great, but I'm wondering if the action and feel of the MDO605 makes up for the higher cost. (Unfortunately, I'll have to buy mine online without a test drive since no one around where I live carries either of these.)
The playability is very consistent among all of Eastman's models. The MDO305 & 605 are going to have a very similar playing experience. The MDO605 more so makes up for the cost due to the inlays, finish, pickup, & pickguard. Hope this helps!
String Buzz can happen on any instrument but there are a variety of ways it can occur. These models don't really have string buzz more than any other models and if it does occur, it should be able to be fixed.
Only now did I realize my nickname is something goofy. I thought my Eastman w/pickup was good looking but the tone on this is so nice. I would prefer Octave to regular but need to add it to the wish list.
Finally got my Eastman MDO605 it's rather fine indeed, but would not expect anything less from the guys at Eastman. Thank you all x

The timestamps are always in the description. 👍

@@jimanddianem895 Of course, and yes it does! 😂🥸
This was your best video (until the next one) and I know nothing about the mandolin. You always educate prospective customers
Was that mean enough?
We'll take it😆

Fair enough! Thanks for watching! Be sure to like, share, and subscribe for more!
Every time I watch one of your videos I feel this tugging sensational my wallet in a little voice in my head saying you need one of those
That's how we feel when the instruments come in! 😂

Nice job, guys. I've been waiting for a Brock to show up, but maybe I should take a closer look at one of these.
They're great. Thanks for watching! Be sure to like, share, and subscribe for more!
I actually like the sound of the 305 better. Is that mean?! 😊
You guys crack me up. Thanks for laughs and lessons

@@stefanogreco6356 No! That can't be! I'm their biggest fan (or I thought I was until I saw your post)...!
Mean comment! Loved the video!
We're glad😄 Thanks again for watching!
Block inlay is nice
I wonder if the new Eastman model will be routinely "out of stock" like the old one was.
I was wondering what pick Jeremy uses on his mandos. It looks like it could be a Blue Chip, any recommendations?
Yep! BlueChip CT-55

Is string buzz a feature of these mandolins?

Sorry, I don’t have anything mean to say. It was another good video. 🎼💃🍺🍺🕺🤙
Man oh man, I'll swap you an AC-420 sunburst for it
😆
