Thank God the previous owner of my 97 on 35s didn't just upgrade to Dana 44s but also set up the speedometer and other sensors to compensate. Still only get 12 mpg but that's the beauty of a machine that is 25 years old this year.
I remember doing the old transmission speedo gear swaps on older Mustangs. On the bronco when I went to 33” it was easy, just used the ForScan Software. Pretty neat program
Our TJ (1997 Sahara) is REALLY HIGH GEARED, Didn’t even know a Jeep had this high a gearing, it’s a 3.07 😮 But it also had new 33x12x15s on it when we got it in 2018..!! So, how many tooth gear do we need with This gearing, and These 33” tires..?? THANKS ✅👍
@@KyleSVT ok, yes the 26 IS the closest. Is that All we need to do to correct this.?? Or is there some computer programming also, like we see the videos on the New JK (junk krap) Jeep’s🤷🏻♂️🤔🫣

If you don’t mind your Speedometer being off, gear it down even more to clock less miles on your odometer😉
Lol mines opposite rn and for who know how long, it's winding out the speedometer just going down the highway
Chart aside, what brings speedo down, more teeth or less teeth on speedo gear?
FYI, you don't have to remove the electrical connector. Mine had plenty of room to get the gear out, etc.

Looks like the 26 is the only one that is close but don't think it will be exact for you

@@KyleSVT We got a 26 tooth gear from Shreveport LA for $26 (a dollar 💵 per tooth😎) and installed it like you showed, much closer on the speed now 👍
What lift did would I need to house 35s? And and how how wide are those?
No lift just metalcloak fenders. 10inch wide wheels

nope 3.73s and a 5spd with 35s is just fine for what I do
