Maresca is 100% to blame today and the last 3 games. His only substitutions have been Madueke & Nkunku with the earliest being in the 73rd minute. He preaches in his press conferences there is no A or B team but his actions show differently. What do Felix & Guiu have to do to get minutes. @@rynoburrow Barcelona brought Guiu on as a late substitute last season in la Liga and he immediately scored a game-winning goal (which was assisted by Felix :-) ). I don't see why Guiu (and Felix) couldn't do similarly in the Premier League.

We were jogging back on the second goal. I've always said there is no clear picture of the title race until after the end of year gauntlet. Chelsea looked like they were trying to get to the end of the game rather than win.
Very slow, passive non threatening performance I felt. I thought to myself at 1-0 up we looked like we was playing for a draw. I hate to say it but with how young this squad some results like this are necessary in order for them to grow and develop. Do I like it no but it will serve us well going forward. Merry Christmas everyone ❤
Very, very frustrating. We need to change things earlier in the game. And not always the same changes. Plus we’ve all been saying it for years. We need a world class striker and keeper.
We took our foot off the ball halfway through first half. We got what we deserved. 1 sub. No enterprise. Why not put Felix on. For me Maresca talks himself out of going for a win. Seeing the points and sits on it. No Madueke, two goalies on the bench. Start to question.
we lost because Maresca was not proactive enough in this game. One substitute is simply not good enough. and on top of it all Nkunku was crappy when he came on.
Complacency. But also… my brother is a Leicester fan. He watched all their games last season and warned me before. At Leicester maresca started off great but got way too possession hungry, they lost their spark. And im seeing it here too.
Progress isn't linear. We've been here before (in fact in much worse circumstances). We could blame this or that, I've already said during summer we needed someone like an Osimhen and didn't need Felix, so won't go on about it again. But the bottom line is we have to regroup and try get back the good momentum, remember this season was about top 4 and a trophy. We are fully still on track for that, it isn't doom and gloom just because of couple of bad games. Up the Chels as always.
Happy holidays Yan! Sucks that we capitulated like that, but we were never in a title race😛 we weren’t very good for many parts of the game. Lack of subs were pretty trash; would’ve liked to see Madueke. Also what a goal from Palmer🔥
I dont blame Maresca or Nkunku ! Nkunku is lost upfront and Generally Maresca makes great subs if Available ! Jackson is needed for the weekend and he kept him on for as long as possible ! This is a blessing in disguise ! We definitely 3 to 4 1st Team players short of a title charge ! A midfielder, A striker and a Top CB plus a Keeper !
Ipswich next, sure do hope Chelsea show up or Maresca could be one season and done . After drawing with Everton ,Chelsea got worse. ONE point out of six with basically a full squad.
I felt Jackson had a really poor game and looks low in confidence and energy. Gotta keep it real that we are doing great this season. However we were very flat and unimaginative today with very low effort. Enzo ran a lot as did cucu but wasn’t impressed with the team movement. Felt maresca went to sleep on this game. Would have loved to see Guiu to carry the press. We dropped off after this. Would have subbed Neto and sancho for felix and noni. What do i know though!!!
Maresca is taking way too long to make change bro Neto was tired, I am not a coach and I could see that with my eyes how the hell he couldn’t see that coming this is all is fault. The keeper can’t pass a ball to save his life smh
Our subs shouldn’t throw off our ability to maintain stability. He doesn’t trust Felix not to do something wild that loses the ball in bad areas. He doesn’t trust players like Casadei in close PL games in midfield. Nkunku is a liability if heck es in at striker.. We need Santos to return and Lavia to come healthy. We need an actual striker to compete with Jackson, not another project with potential. If we start games with an Osimhen and then bring on Jackson at 60 mins and have Lavia and Santos as our midfield subs … games wouldn’t go like this. An elite RCB to take the elite spot of Fofana also needed, or Josh needs to prove he can do it.
I want osimhen too, a 4-2-2-2 formation would be great for this with Jackson and victor. I think bringing back Santos and Petrovic and sending Sanchez and Casadei to strausburg is imperative.
Nkunku sucks, period. He gets trash goals vs bad opposition, big deal. It should have been Guiu. Felix should have come on… for Sancho I’d say since Sancho didn’t add anything.
This again shows one of Marescas problems imo - he cant see when we lack energy! The last 30 minutes we needed energy! We made 1 sub…. Fulham made subs Got more energy and 2 goals made from those subs…. Maresca srsly need to sub ALOT better and sooner!!!
We won position in Fulham’s half , the ball was passed to Cole Palmer and Jackson was on the left flank with no wingback tracking back on him , he only had a CB who was more central which we know Jackson is quicker than , he had all the space to run into and Palmer didn’t make that through pass even though Jackson was right infront of him , instead Palmer turned back and passed to our defence and this was right after Jackson took a shot with the outside of his foot and palmer reacted frustratingly because Jackson didn’t look for a teammate instead , so I feel Cole Palmer not playing that through ball was intentional . It would’ve been an easy assist for him . And it’s stuff like this that cost us the game especially playing against a Fulham side that has defensive really well as a collective , the reason we won all those other games is because we made those passes more often . At some point Enzo needs to start subbing off Palmer and giving otherwise a chance to impose their potential on the game . Just because Palmer scores a goal doesn’t mean he was great , there’s a lot of which he didn’t do and a lot that he did like passing back and trying to cool down the game when he should’ve made a forward pass , how do you cool down a game where the opposition doesn’t allow you too ! Cause we would still lose the ball and they would run at us with pace and quick passes . And Palmer didn’t dribble 5 players for his goal , he dribbled 2 , the other 3 were just standing in their box trying to block any room for a shot let’s be real now . Sancho and Neto weren’t good let’s be real . Palmer should’ve got two goals and Sancho should’ve got an easy goal but hit it straight at the keeper .
Crazy thing we could use in our Team is ... Neto and Sancho - Side switch during the game. Both of them know how to play both wings. Just to throw the opponent off. Subs were desperately needed. Sancho and Neto out ... Palmer goes to RW, Felix CAM, Jackson LW and NKunku ST (even though it´s not his position). Would be cool to see that
Come on we were never in the title race. We have a 9 who is improving and as it stands is more than good enough to take us to top 4 as we should want and expect. Next season if he continues to develop at this rate and the team improves he’ll be good enough to take us to a title. the issue is with Maresca choosing the wrong subs. Nkunku was not it
That take is crap. That loss is on Maresca. No subs besides nkunku is criminal. The midfield was gassed. Plus , Nkunku is not a center forward. So, the one sub he made was senseless
It took premier league 7 years to find out pep...it took 4 months to find out Enso maresca 😂well i hope not but its second game in the row we not looking tyat good
Chelsea stopped playing in the second half. Palmer took the second half off. Gusto has energy but NO PRECISION. Maresca’s substitutions were late. Sanchez is NOT the goalkeeper we need. At this rate he will lose us Top 4!!! We dug our own grave, and I am seeing some SERIOUS chemistry issues between Palmer and Nkunku.
Palmer's score to me is wild. On so many occasions he stopped the play and went backwards when we should have been pushing on. He looked lazy, I was getting last year vibes due to the walking around the pitch and the pissy little 5 yard back and forth passing.
We lost bc we decided 1-0 is fine. Neto, Palmer, Sancho all combined for 1 key pass. Players looked dead at 60th min and lost all legs to press and attack. Should have subbed on Nkunku, Felix, and Guiu around this time to keep pressure up but instead got complacent and it cost us. Hopefully Maresca reflects and learns from this, poor from him honestly. Also concerning was the first time we asked the starting XI to play two games in 4 days and they struggled
I felt that we weren't effective up front in the 2nd half losing the ball too easily with players committed. Couldn't afford to do that with their breakout ability. I could feel that result coming for ages and we just couldn't turn the tide or hold on long enough.
Earlier in the season, I was very impressed with the manager's ability to make substitutions before they were needed, but that hasn't been happening as of late, and this game really needed a snake up and fresh legs on the wings And in midfield in the second half.
Tactics, substitutions, options, safety vs pushing the envelope. January transfer market. Goalkeeper ball distribution. Concentration and closing games out.
We lost in part because Maresca is in love with using Enzo on the right and Palmer somewhat on the left. That makes Palmer less effective and Enzo doesn't offer a lot in that right halfspace either. The idea is obviously to make more room for Cucu to do on the left what Enzo does on the right and essentially create a diamond, but it just doesn't work that well.
@@Habulcool1999 I'm not saying Enzo was terrible but was he much of a goal threat? IMO, not really. Likewise, Palmer has consistently looked a bit slower off the trigger whenever he's out on the left side. And how much did we create? Not really enough. I much preferred the time when Enzo was making runs into the box from the left and Palmer was doing the same from the right.
@@Monochromatic_Spider he created the most chances had a great shot away he is a midfielder he did his job u r just here to hate him isn't it coz the only time we had clear chances of scoring it was through him cucu header clear goal miss he gave palmar a tap in he missed
@@Habulcool1999 If I was here to hate him, I wouldn't be arguing that he should've been on the left, I'd have argued that he should've been on the bench. But I didn't. And aside from Cucu's header we also had a couple more chances for Palmer and that ball into the box for Sancho. But you're right, we didn't have many clear chances of scoring. And that is the problem. We shouldn't be playing a game against Fulham and then struggle to think of any good chances. The point of criticism here isn't actually Enzo Fernandez, it's Enzo Maresca for doing this midfield diamond even though it doesn't really suit anyone.
@Monochromatic_Spider it's maresca's bad game management Sancho with enzo looks better palmar is shit on that left side he is best from the right side enzo can still do what he does on the left I don't understand maresca 's obsession to switch the sides between those two nd the game should've been killed by 60mins our defenders r shit that's the reality and that midfield by 80 mins was tired should've brought in fresh legs
We have been caught out, knocking it around at 1-0 like we 3-0 nil up, I felt nervous knowing we would concede and didn't really look like scoring more than 1. Fulham played well, overall we weren't clinical enough
Chelsea always loose it's good form in boxing day matches. Been experiencing this for like 7/8 season. Do anyone noticed this or m I the only one who think soo.
Fulham pressed Sanchez and forced us to play long to Nkunku who isn't a aerial threat so it kept coming back and eventually we fell apart ! We couldn't hold the ball upfront so good on Fulham for finding and exploiting that weakness ! Jackson kept the Defense busy and pressed them all night but he needs resting as well for the weekend !
A Stricker isn't what we need, being clinical is. Another Stricker won't guarantee being lethal in front of goal. We created enough chance to win the game. Their goaly had a good game
Yan, the big big question, as you say, is why our GK is cracking up under the most minimal pressure and giving the ball away with horrific passing. That Fulham winner is 100% on Sanchez.

@@rynoburrow Barcelona brought Guiu on as a late substitute last season in la Liga and he immediately scored a game-winning goal (which was assisted by Felix :-) ). I don't see why Guiu (and Felix) couldn't do similarly in the Premier League.
Cucu and Colwill are to blame for that first goal. Tosin steps out (as he should) and the others stand still. That pissed me off
Not Cucu... Gusto. It was Gusto at the far post who didn't cover Harry Wilson.
If Madueke had the same performance Neto had the comments section would be filled with hate towards him........also Nkunku looked like he wasn't even trying
You can’t really say that about Nkunku. The guy did an overhead bicycle kick on target can’t say he’s not trying
We all know why the comment section would be filled with hate but thats another discussion for another day.
@@daeball125 Noni gets so scapegoated
Neto was back tracking loads to help the defence, did you not watch the game?
Did U not watch the game or are Ur noses not seeing very well
Nero was back helping a lost gusto...gusto was totally off, I had no I dea what the game plan for him was but he was just not attacking or defending.
That made Neto step back to defend
He was tracking back and attacking, madueke would not have done that kinda track back, madueke at the beginning of the season would but not just now
We were jogging back on the second goal. I've always said there is no clear picture of the title race until after the end of year gauntlet. Chelsea looked like they were trying to get to the end of the game rather than win.
Mareska made the same mistake with Everton no substations at all
Very slow, passive non threatening performance I felt. I thought to myself at 1-0 up we looked like we was playing for a draw.
I hate to say it but with how young this squad some results like this are necessary in order for them to grow and develop. Do I like it no but it will serve us well going forward.
Merry Christmas everyone ❤
We need to see more of Giuu . I think he is the only prolifique attacker we have. Cucurella and palmer will always be on my mind. Beautiful players
'Prolific'? In what sense? goals against two teams that would get relegated from English league one.
What is happening to Felix
Rotting on the bench
Great question!
we lost because Maresca was not proactive enough in this game. One substitute is simply not good enough. and on top of it all Nkunku was crappy when he came on.
Pain... anger. Manager needs to sort it out
Complacency. But also… my brother is a Leicester fan. He watched all their games last season and warned me before. At Leicester maresca started off great but got way too possession hungry, they lost their spark. And im seeing it here too.
Sanchez can not pass a ball! That last clearance that led to the goal was abysmal. Clearly instigated the move that caused the goal..
Forget once for all about Osimhen!
For Christ sake. Just move Palmer to the right and put Nkunku at no. 10. Espeically with Neto being booked!!! Ehy is Maresca so stubborn
This is wat I'm saying
Happy holidays Yan!
Sucks that we capitulated like that, but we were never in a title race😛 we weren’t very good for many parts of the game. Lack of subs were pretty trash; would’ve liked to see Madueke. Also what a goal from Palmer🔥
I don't think Sancho deserves to start . He needs to improve on the pace he plays
Neto was bad! Noni needed to come in! We have plenty of talent we needed to make more changes
We can’t afford to sign Sancho. We have Neto and Joao Felix on long term deals and can’t get a sniff of the pitch
We went missing in defence for their 2nd goal, crazy defending cost us a point but bad management cost us 3
Maresca has always concerned me with how late and few his substitutions have been
Why wait until Fulham ties to start picking up the pace. Too much dependence on Palmer.
Love your positivity after a loss❤
I felt Jackson had a really poor game and looks low in confidence and energy. Gotta keep it real that we are doing great this season. However we were very flat and unimaginative today with very low effort. Enzo ran a lot as did cucu but wasn’t impressed with the team movement. Felt maresca went to sleep on this game. Would have loved to see Guiu to carry the press. We dropped off after this. Would have subbed Neto and sancho for felix and noni. What do i know though!!!
Maresca was trying to hold the 1-0 lead. The plan failed.
Some players were poor and the manager didn't change things..that's why we lost..
Iwobi and Robinson ran the show
First view and like🤍 big up yan! Rough loss forsure 😔
1.2 billion wasted , 40+ player squad, 3 gk’s , 3 strikers , just to use 1 sub on a guy who is just jogging
Overreaction of the season!!!
@ my opinion bud … up the blues 🔵🦁
It's clear Maresca doesnt trust our bench. I have a feeling he already made up his mind on some of players and they have no future at the club
Maresca is taking way too long to make change bro Neto was tired, I am not a coach and I could see that with my eyes how the hell he couldn’t see that coming this is all is fault. The keeper can’t pass a ball to save his life smh
We need a striker. Simple
It’s blatantly clear now. We need Isak
Osimhen . Any that drops the friggin ball into the net
Enough with your global useless obsession on Osimhen, forget it!
And Nkunku needs more playing time...
Forget about this useless obsession on Osimhen!
I want osimhen too, a 4-2-2-2 formation would be great for this with Jackson and victor.
I think bringing back Santos and Petrovic and sending Sanchez and Casadei to strausburg is imperative.
Build up to the second goal Cucurella was playing as a cf. unbelievable
Why no Felix Sancho, Neto and gusto were struggling towards the end
BRING ON MARC GUIU!!!
Very disappointing performance!!! This loss is on Maresca! Why didn’t he sub more players out!? Clearly guys were gassed and Fulham put in fresh legs!
Yan you were 100% right. You said chelsea would go through a difficult spell and I think this is the start of that
It took premier league 7 years to find out pep...it took 4 months to find out Enso maresca 😂well i hope not but its second game in the row we not looking tyat good
Chelsea stopped playing in the second half.
Enzo created the most today what r talking i get ur point but today enzo was good had a great shot on target too
@@Habulcool1999 I'm not saying Enzo was terrible but was he much of a goal threat?
Maresca at fault again!!!! Stop blaming the keeper when the forwards are shite
Chelsea lost because fullham is a good team as simple as that their record speaks for itself
Tell Neto to get on the blower to Cunha, he’s got terrific movement, fabulous control, quick and has a great shot on him
We dont have any good replacement for our midfield which was overran in the second half
