@VirginiaFlint… We have only hunted the first site twice and found pounders on both visits... We have high hopes on the second site with the killer pitted stone showing up. Stem points work for me....

That archaic corner notch of Nelson's is a unique piece. I've seen those before and they are a crossover between lost lake and thebes. There seems to be a period where the style was transitioning from one to the other. Pinetree points are similar but are typically sharpened differently. That's a smoker either way!
Love it love it!!!! My Wife and I keep those dang fruit jar lid inserts also , why ??? I DONT KNOW . We only have 50 thousand . Great points I found a lost lake last month that look very much like that and it dried out a shinny grey . Good luck guys
@SPM.... Actually, we found 2 of those nutting stones in that area but we were not equipped to lug both of them for such a long distance. We will retrieve the other one on the next hunt. (We have it stashed....)
hi guys. I've been watching you r channel for about a year or more now. I grew up in the east end of Huntington on an old flood plain of the Guyandotte River. Dad gardened a lot back then (1960s) and every spring it seemed the plow/tiller would turn up one or two points (some unfortunately fractured). I don't know what ever happened to them but wish I still had 'em.
Great to see the satisfaction reaction cam back with another great find. The beveled piece doesn't fit a typically type but lost lake family seems right. Congrats on your finds.

Pine tree, when sharpened down is beveled on four sides. It has a lost lake bevel, with a Kirk serrated base....

Lost Lake works but I'd maybe consider Thebes as a possibility.Never seen any LL with that type of broad concave base.Extremely cool either way.
