    Congratulations, Euge! That is one tasty guitar, the specs are very much in line with what I would personally choose. Great to see the smile you have when you're playing it, obviously you are enjoying yourself. Great opening track too.

    Hello Euge! I just received an ESP custom shop (japan) m2 and their are a few problems with it. Floyd not shimmed to fretboard radius (not a big deal) crooked pickups mounted to body (not a big deal) but the routing for the neck pickup was very uneven on the side closest to the neck. If your looking at the face of the guitar the top of the neck pickup route is wavy. its painted white with a gloss finish so its real noticeable. is this something I should complain to them about? thanks for your time.

    • @EugeValovirta230V

    When you picked the “Shining” one for the clean+chorus run, it was sounding like really dark and deep, I thought like “Well, he should play ‘For the God Below’ now”…
    Aaaand you did some funky run and it also sounded absolutely natural! Versatile playing, Euge, as always, thanks for the video!🤘🏻

      I know you are asking Euge, but if you want to see/hear a comparison in TH-cam, find Anderson's test of those guitars with Rob Chapman. Interesting results.

      @EugeValovirta230V  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I have a few of 1000 series ones. Absolutely great guitars and especially for the price. It’s like when you play an LTD you’re ”wow what a great guitar” but then when you grab a handmade ESP you’re ”ahhh yeah”. There’s a difference and if there wouldn’t I guess nobody would buy handmade ones. At least I wouldn’t if I’d get the same quality, vibe & feel from a factory made guitar.

    Great guitars and riffs. I will buy in future LP style guitar but my main drawback is short scale length especially for downtuning as I dont want to use too thick strings. Atm I own 25" scale guitar and for Drop D I am using 10-52 and if I want to play in Drop A# I need to go with 12-60 to have enough tension. Which strings are you using for your (even shorter scale) guitars?

    Awesome, awesome playing, tons of tasty tones! I bought an ESP EII Eclipse BB with EMG 60/81 pickups in August without playing one because no nearby stores had something similar to try in person. It was unfortunately my least favorite guitar, could only get the bridge pickup to sound just decent with my amplifiers. It sounded harsh on the top end and didn’t have the right “feel”, no matter what. I meticulously redialed everything and it was just meh, not much better than everything at noonish. Any other guitar that I tried with things at noonish were better for me. I tried the 24Volt mod and it was better but took it out to use with my Jackson USA Custom Shop. My guess is that where I generally run the gain is too high for how the EMGs in the ESP pair with how my “grown-up” amplifiers are voiced. (Mezzabarba Trinity, Friedman BE-100 Deluxe, Marshall JVM410H, Mesa Boogie Triple Crown TC-100…all of them had their own cabinet in the room.) I usually just adjust the gain and presence after initially dialing in on a couple of guitars to find the sweet spots. Traded the Eclipse in on a Gibson Mustaine V last week after playing it at the store through an amp similar to one of mine. Your signature ESPs are absolutely pure magic in (your) capable hands! I think “stickers” is my favorite….

    • @EugeValovirta230V
      @EugeValovirta230V  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Yeah pickups are quite personal thing ’cos they’re the ones that are picking your sound and many people prefer passive pickups over actives. I like both a lot and some of my guitars has Seymour Duncan Custom on the bridge and ’57 on the neck which is my favourite passive combo. But EMG 81/85 is still my favourite. One of the reasons is that I’m just so used to them having played with them for almost 30 years 😎.

    • @davej8045
      @davej8045 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EugeValovirta230V Cool, thanks! Your familiarity with EMGs really shows. The EMG 81/85 in my Jackson sound a lot better to me through the same setups, I’m not really sure why. I’ve mostly just been running DiMarzios (other than the stock ‘57 Classic/Super’57 & Burst buckers in my LPs) until experimenting more in the last few years and briefly chasing tone down the rabbit hole again. Only had two guitars with Seymour Duncans but they didn’t work for me before so the Mustaine V was a surprise at the store.

      It’s always something hilarious and that’s why I pronounce my name the Finnish way just to be entertained by the goofy subtitles 😁.

    money isn’t an issue, having a 2+ year backlog(if you’re not an endorsed artist) in the ESP custom shop is insane.

      @@EugeValovirta230V Yeah I wrote that before he said anything about it. I bought 2 ESP’s from Craft House in Japan and it took over a year.
