Dude, I couldn’t believe it when you pulled those unopened long boxes out of there. Amazing gift! Every time I actually see an unopened long box I get nostalgic for the good old days in the record store at the mall flipping through long boxes. Just wish I had kept all those long boxes instead of cutting them up and putting the pictures up on my bedroom wall.
I know what you mean! I miss flipping through CDs in that way. I kept all my long boxes in a closet for years but they took up so much space. Eventually I through away all but a few that were special to me. So now when I find them it’s a real treat.
I was just gonna say the same about the long boxes. Awesome!!!!
idk if I'm just unlucky or what, but I have found like 5 longboxes in the past couple years all from different sources, and every one had varying degrees of a mold issue with the boxes to the point I would rather just throw the box out. Is this a common issue or just bad luck?
I loved the long-boxes. I still have the 30 or so of my favorites from back when they came out.
Unbelievable those long boxes put a smile on my face. Awesome!!!!
Thats awesome..Whar a cool guy David is for sending you
a huge collection
Very cool….. the long boxes for me woulda been the winners….. I always wished I never opened them up (all of them not just GnR). I have a lot of the CD singles and sampler. Waaaay cool. Can’t wait for the next video!
The happiness on his face is gorgeous.
The collection looks legit! When I think of a band like GnR, I definitely think of bootleg swag. Some amazing goodies in those boxes, very cool of Dave! Great call on the Tower Record Label. Such a great history with Tower, West Hollywood, etc.
Part 3 of this series will post tomorrow and it outdoes this first episode in a big way!
Hey Brendon, I'll keep this real short...your passion and excitement in this video is so massively infectious that I'm now making it PRIORITY to get out there and find as much vintage G 'n' R merchandise as I can find. I will leave no stone unturned in my pursuit!
Cheers man, your unrivaled passion has made my day!!!
These are all great, great collectables. The Guns here are so young still breaking through and touching glory. What a time they were, sadly gone and our youth with them.
One of the coolest videos I’ve seen in a while. Congrats Brendon! 🤘
Such a great video Brendon. Having seen the comments on the last video I was kinda waiting on this one and I was definitely not disappointed. Enjoy the great haul and looking forward to the next one!
You're so lucky. GN'R will always be my favorite band. I will buy anything they put out.
This unboxing was the first 3 boxes of a total 9 that was sent. See link for the latest video of boxes #5, 6, & 7. th-cam.com/video/AXSUkTD1BMs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-9Fc3VyW2ccT2wIz I just received boxes #8, and #9. That video will post soon.
You are the luckiest guy in the world! This collection is incredible!
Nice reward for all the work you do. Dave is a very generous person. Hats off to him. The collection has gone to the right person who will appreciate it and not on sell it.
Everything about this video is absolutely incredible!
This is awesome! What a gift! Loved those singles. Please show the rest of the collection.
Share the joy of music. Truly what the hobby is about. As collecting gains popularity and prices rise we sometimes lose sight of that.
This collection is unbelievable… holy crap, man!
I know, right!!
I’m a big GNR fan, I’m very jealous of you right now. Lol. A lot of good stuff in there.
What a Christmas it is for you ! Another example of how much joy the music communinty can bring !
The Ritz 88 show is incredible
It certainly is! I wish I could get a DVD of the show. I used to love watching it when MTV aired it.
@@BrendonSnyder I got the dvd of the Ritz 1988 show. From the ( Zodiac) Japan bootleg cd lable. It is both a dvd of the Ritz 1988. Plus they added a cd audio of the Ritz 1988 in the same bootleg. I have extra copies of this bootleg. And I am looking for a Guns n roses appetite for destruction sealed longbox. If you have this I am willing to trade the Ritz 1988 dvd and cd plus money. Please let me know.
Shane
wow what a kind guy
Absolutely!
Wow, that is amazing.
Very cool. I've had people send me Yes items but nothing even close to what you got. CONGRATULATIONS!
You seemed blessed already and wow more blessings. Luck you. I’m confused as to why a mega fan of GnR would give his collection away? That’s very thoughtful 👍🏼
Wow... what a collection... fantastic
Awesome stuff. What a collection and that's just a small part of it.
That is awesome for you!! So cool!!
I just saw them live in Houston this passed Thursday. You are a very lucky man. Please do reviews of all that amazing stuff.
Jackpot! That's awesome! Ok, I'm starting my own channel :-) :-) :-)
Enjoy all those goodies.
Cheers.
Was there a reason to give up such a large collection? This brought someone a lot of happiness as it was being collected.
Get money.
Wow awesome stuff I remember them long box's I just recently got the new overkill cd in a long box with a pin and a sticker I really excited when I seen a long box at my record store of that new overkill
Some really cool stuff 😎
It’s like Christmas Morning. Nice one. Shows there are some decent people out there still.
Nice video. I can feel your excitement.
Espetacular 🤘🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Very exiting ,, cool vid
Awesome I’ll watch tonight
This stuff is just way too cool. I too collected stuff from multiple different bands. The Live Like A Suicide EP on cassette was cool….and the CD singles. I remember the long boxes….I had a lot of em stored for a long time until I had gotten rid of them to make space for other items.
Damn! I'm even excited for you!!
Nice !!!
I hope you make a video for the rest of the boxes when they arrive! 🤘
I plan on documenting them whole collection as it arrives. I’m hoping more boxes arrive today!
@@BrendonSnyder Simply perfection, Friend!
Years ago I made four photo albums of gnr from pictures from magazines when I was a senior at high school.
Cool stuff🤘. It’s too bad that the guys have only put out so little new material over the years.
I have Live Like a Suicide on LP. I bought it on a whim when I stumbled upon it in a mall record store in Ohio prior to the release of Appetite. Unfortunately, it suffered a little water damage to the cover back in 2001.
That is crazy. When you open the next box that comes and the Live Like A Suicide record is in the box you're probably going to pass out.
Nice One!
You are one lucky guy.
thank u sir
I have that same gnr shirt 👕
I’m curious on how do you keep your collection clean. Do you have a video on the subject? Thanks
It was rereleased later on that clear cassette it was originally on a black cassette
Super cool which is the name of the bootleg Japan page online store?
Live Like A Suicide was never on cassette, but people made replicas on CD and cassette that look great.
No true, it was absolutely issued on cassette. 👍
@@BrendonSnyder I looked it up and you're right. I was positive it was 10,000 only on vinyl. You learn something new every day.
Highly operated band!
As someone who collects bootlegs (digitally because I'm not home enough to use physical media), these live bootlegs are really a gem, even just for a rare listen.
I've gotten too the point where I've gotten hold of every GNR live show from 91-93 that are from the Soundboard. Some are better than anything officially released.
I've got dozens of Metallica, Aerosmith, etcetera, so seeing this stuff is so fucking cool... enjoy that collection man, and David, what a badass motherfucker you are
« Offered » as in « for free »? The Live Like Suicide cassette alone is pure insanity! Enjoy!
Yes the whole collection was sent to me for free simply because he wanted to share his collection with another passionate fan. I really lucked out!
🇧🇷
Not a big fan but that’s some haul !
I couldn't take this collection for free.
Olá querido
Vc vende uma dessas caixas de Long Box do álbuns Use Your Illusion 1 e 2? Moro no Brasil e aou fã do Guns N'Roses.
Abraços
Jairo Ramos
The cassette is real if it has a barcode on it.
Not in this instance. It never had a barcode.
I'm in Australia and just turned 65. Great channel so I just subscribed. I have 4,000 CD's in very similar racks as you do. Unlike you however, once I go beyond the early 2000's there are no artists I desire to listen to. Being a child of the early 60's I can only tolerate musicians from that period to around maybe the late 80s'-mid 90's when none of the newer artists appeal at all, my collecting now is basically obtaining most of Telarc's DDD 600 album collection of classical CD's. I HATE R&B, hip hop, rap, and any new heavy metal junk. My idea of heavy metal is Led Zep and Deep Purple and AC/DC etc. I have no idea who any of the Bon Jovi/Metallica era is. They are kiddy trash. Cheers. PS* My recent and final "forever" CD player is a Yamaha CD-S3000 which I absolutely love. @@BrendonSnyder
Jealous.
I hear you. Don’t mean to make anyone jealous, just want to share the love and joy of GNR.
Ok...my friends suck...😅
Brendon I am looking for a Guns n roses appetite for destruction sealed longbox. If you have a spare and are willing to sell and perhaps a trade. I got the Guns n roses show the Ritz 1988 show on the ( Zodiac ) bootleg cd lable. It has a dvd plus a cd audio of the show. I am willing to trade with money for a sealed Appétit for destruction sealed longbox. Please let me know either way.
A lot of rare unreleased tracks. Post them up to TH-cam.
They’re all already posted by many people previously. You just have to look them up.
@@BrendonSnyder yes I have almost every rare track in a folder. I enjoyed finally getting a copy of Rapidfire. I used to be in the trading forums back before Chinese came out.
Very overrated band. Still riding on the success of Appetite.
You got that stuff free so it’s a good deal. Enjoy
If that’s how you feel that’s fine but they’re one of the biggest bands in the world even today 35 years on. Hard to call a band overrated that is that popular.
Lucky I've been a GN'R fan since I was born in 86
