Not sure I guess no problem if you have the marriage certificate.
Not all pages of the passport are required. Only copies of the front and back pages as well as the pages containing visa stamps are required.

Hi, 1. Mostly Bengaluru, not sure spouse visa can be applied in cochin. we tried but we got only bengalore consulate.
2. if it only initials then no problem. if the name with spelling mistakes, then you need to fix them before applying.
3. card /cash is accpted in all vfs i guess. DD is required only if the appointment in consulate.
4. Not sure, i havent been to vfs. even if it is its only less than visa fees.
5. Travel insurance is mandatory for atleast 3 months during the date if travel.

yes, you need to provide the spouse residence permit copy and meldebescheinigung certificate (registration confirmation) when apply for spouse visa. so the spouse needs the residence permit. spouse will get residence permit approx 2 months after applying for it

both possible, but if you want to bring after coming here then you have to get the residence permit before applying family reunion visa. It will take 1-2 months for getting residence permit

If your wife has skilled worker visa or blue card then you don’t need it. Otherwise you need it but as per 2023 rule it is not needed but still the consulate officers demand it. Please check the vfs checklist for latest required documents.

You can do that. I mean, apply together. I did that and since I live in Bangalore it was easier to communicate with the embassy. I also had a German lawyer who gave me all the insights into this. The problem is most people don’t know all details but just pretend as if their suggestion is the right one.
Embassy officials ennodu paranjath aanu together apply cheyyaan. You can use Family Reunion option for this. I tried for student visa and worked out. Even VFS officials didn’t know until I applied. Through my application, they now got updated.

Meldebescheinigung is needed only when you are going to stay with your spouse while applying for a family visa. In that case if your spouse cannot get the document on time, you can also submit meldebestätigung certificate which your spouse already have it when doing the address registration. In the mean time spouse should apply for the Meldebescheinigung and keep it ready just in case if the authorities requested after your visa application

Hi, As per 2023 rule A1 is not needed for spouse, but this is still not implemented as i heared. If your wife has a blue card or PR in germany then you dont need A1 anyway. But if your wife only has work permit, then you need A1 certificate. I also know few people who have thier family here without A1 (but not from India). so i guess its entirly depends on the visa processing officer. Even for us when we came here first time, i as a spouse do not have A1 certificate.

Hi, you have to do registration first, but please make sure spouse name is also on the house contract, if not ask the landlord to add the name and also request landlord to provide the "wohnungsgeberbestätigung" certificate with your spouse name on it for registration. Once this is done please get an appointment at immigration office for residence permit application. you can also request them to issue "Teilnahmeberechtigung für Integrationskurs" document for doing integratoin course (A1-B1) at discount.
I forgot one thing, after the registration , please register your spouse with Finanzamt for Tax id, and once spouse got tax id, you can request Finanzamt to change your tax class from 1 to 3

@@karunwilson Hi, Rent certificate is not needed when you both apply, may be a hotel booking is fine. Or if you could find a temporary apartment then you can just show the copy of lease. I recommend not to apply together, fisrt the person who studies go there, find an apartment and get a residence permit, then spouse can apply. 2. If you are married you need to show them the marriage certificate, photograph, certificate from church or temple etc for proof. and all of them should be in English.

He is an IT expert. With a minimum salary of 3000 euro gross you can save 800-1000
