Great interview. Jim confronts Paul on value investing. Jim's 20 year underperformence value and small cap. Paul defends his long term investing strategies. There's a difference between speculating and investing. Short term investing long term investing. Staying invested has worked for us long term investors
Any recommendations for ETF’s to put together the 4 fund portfolio. S&P 500 - VOO, Small cap value - AVUV, small cap blend - ???, large cap value - ??? Appreciate your responses. Great content 🎉👍
@vikramkaushik I would suggest checking out Paul’s website and under the portfolio tab is Portfolio Configurator. You can look at their recommendations on portfolios, configure them by main brokerages. They also list a Best in class option from their research on etf’s and mutual funds that’s brokerage agnostic.
Right, I've modeled my retirement portfolio guided by Merriman's models - except I've allocated about %10 in Bitcoin and carefully selected AI related investments.

I use SCHD for LCV. Note that Merriman has a best etf list.
@ thanks a lot, I do SCHD too. What’s your option in small cap blend fund ? Thank you
I don’t use it. My non target date retirement stuff is aimed at 50%Voo, 20%Avuv, 20%Schd, 10%qqqm.
@ thank you. Actually mines VOO - 50%, qqqm - 30%, SCHD - 10% and AVUV - 10%. Will tilt more towards SCHD and AVUV - that’s my plan.
