No more bass tournaments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They ruin the fishing! Too much pressure on the lake!

Need to have a calendar or something - put the start date for practice and make a notation 28 days earlier. There are other waters to fish and other guys (we're guessing) are not also doing this. Like Scott Martin making casts to off limits areas, guys should use this as a big lesson learned. KNOW WHEN A BODY OF WATER IS OFF LIMITS

Agree completely. I think this has happened twice this year, but I might be wrong, just don't remember. Cheers and tight lines!!

I believe for that specific rule violation it makes more sense instead of the whole tournament screwing up 28 days ago. Make it like one day penalty from 28-20 days, 2 days 19-14, then the whole tournament if you fish within two weeks. And give like a good time discount if you report yourself instead of having someone else report you. There is a world of difference between an accident, and doing something intentional. The penalties need to be separated as such. If this was a real court system, you would be getting the same punishment for Jay-walking, as you would for murder.

Great comment. I think the penalty is harsh, but he did break it and they enforced it the way they have it in the rule book. But still tough. Cheers and tight lines!!

Thank you for noticing. I've had two-three great months for subs and views. Last 28 days I've had 700k views, where I usually get 30-45k. Amazing!! Thank you!! Cheers and tight lines!!

In a sport like competitive fishing where there is no constant oversight by the rules committee integrity of the competitors is everything. Just look at the two walleye cheaters and what they were able to do illegally. A sport will not survive when the participants have no integrity and break rules to improve their chances of winning. Complete respect for Koby and his self reporting of his mistake. The rules committee was correct to disqualify him from the tournament.

Is this the normal penalty for this type of infraction? If a precedent has been set, then NO.
If this has been a lesser penalty in the past, then yes, it is too harsh and inconsistent.

      no. the penalty is fair.

That probably eliminates him from the tour. I think the penalty is harsh, he could have said nothing. Take away 1-3 hours of fishing on first day. He’s going to be in a huge hole from the start.

Maybe a 1 day penalty would be more appropriate since he had one extra day of practice. You have rules but they need to pre-established the penalties of those rule violations. Or maybe an illegal pre-fishing violation is auto dq. If so , correct call. Be dumb Be tuff.

    • @GetUrFishOn

@@EddieCrosby-s8p it was the appropriate penalty in the rules, but it was a lot imo. Something like this can really hurt the angler. Cheers!!
