    In this clip, Rafer Alston talked about his experience with the Milwaukee Bucks and having more appreciation for his time there. Rafer discussed briefly being out of the league but learning the politics of the NBA during that time. He also revealed how pivotal two 10-day contracts were for his career taking off.
    In this clip, Rafer Alston talked about his time playing for the Miami Heat and having the opportunity to be teammates with Dwyane Wade and Lamar Odom. Rafer then talked about landing his first and only major deal that was worth $30 million over 6 years (incentives included) with the Toronto Raptors.. He also discussed calling Jalen Rose a terrible teammate but admitted the tension was reciprocal.

      @@ericyoshi2323 thats right i was in high school around this time i remember going to barnes and nobles book store and they had the basketball magazine section and i saw him on the front of slam magazine and it said the best point guard in the world you never heard of so i picked it up and read the article and stuff people was describing him doing and i was like i wish i could see a tape of this dude play i just read about him i never seen any video of dude so i was at school talking about it at lunch one day and i cant remember how long after that i think it was a couple days after that this dude name brad at my school who use to rap and stuff asked me something like what did you say the name of that dude was you was talking about killing people in street ball.. and i was like they said his name was skip 2 my lou or thats what they call him then dude brad was like i seen him play or something like that i got a tape of him destroying people and i thought he was lying...He was talking bout and 1 mixtape and he use to live across the street from the school so he let us come to his house after school to watch it he said they gave the tape to him when he went to buy some and 1 shoes or something like that so thats the very first time i seen that tape me and all the other dudes that seen it went to the basketball court behind the high school and was trying to do all those moves looking stupid but and 1 had the world of street ball in a frenzy especially after that first take came out...im glad he made it to the league i seen so many people that had the talent to make it that didnt..It was other circumstances of course in life it wasnt cause they werent good enough...

      As a raptors fan in Canada it was surreal. We’d heard of skip to my Lou but it wasn’t clear if they league respected and1 or even him . But when he played the effects were instantaneous . Lenny was past his coaching prime at this point , but he did pull this off

    Rafer was shooting 3’s from deep on the Rockets and Magic. Go watch the Orlando vs Lakers series Rafer was killing it he was Skip on the floor that Kobe had to guard him. Then that goof of a coach benched him for Jameer Nelson who just came back from an injury. One of the dumbest moves as a coach I was so pissed.

    From orlando - this man helped in playoffs get to finals. Starter was hurt and Alston balled out. They should have let him start in the finals but jammer Nelson started and shit the bed first game back after injury.

    Alston would have done better in the finals as a starting point guard as opposed to Nelson in 09 when they faced the Lakers. Alston was consistent in the playoffs.

    i hope vlad ask him do he hold any resentment toward van gundy for that obvious bias line up call in the finals against L.A that one year. I was rooting for kobe, but it really rubbed me the wrong way how van gundy really made the last minute call of starting a injured jameer nelson in the finals even tho skip was the main pg/player outside of dwight that was making everything happen for em for them to even make the finals smh

    Y’all every realize how sneaky Vlad is… Vlad knew he wanted to bring up Jalen, but he never asks up front. He usually asks two to three questions that eventually leads into some talking point or drama that he is looking for. Just watch closely u will see how he ran through certain topics just to get to the tea that he wants, overlooking so many other genuine stories.

    Rafer Alston was the man back then in And 1. My cousin would buy all the mixtapes from the back of this magazine. I grew up watching those and got into basketball because of this. Now that I’m older I see i was inspired by it especially seeing him get to the nba. Being teammates with T-mac and being able to play as him in nba street 2.

      That's sports today...TV deals have raised pay in the NBA, but NBA players get paid more top to bottom because of revenue sharing...everybody is eating, and happy frfr....the league, and players are much better off than other sports..being in the right era is a blessing 🤔🤔
