In this clip, Rafer Alston talked about his experience with the Milwaukee Bucks and having more appreciation for his time there. Rafer discussed briefly being out of the league but learning the politics of the NBA during that time. He also revealed how pivotal two 10-day contracts were for his career taking off.
In this clip, Rafer Alston talked about his time playing for the Miami Heat and having the opportunity to be teammates with Dwyane Wade and Lamar Odom. Rafer then talked about landing his first and only major deal that was worth $30 million over 6 years (incentives included) with the Toronto Raptors.. Rafer was shooting 3’s from deep on the Rockets and Magic. Go watch the Orlando vs Lakers series Rafer was killing it he was Skip on the floor that Kobe had to guard him. Then that goof of a coach benched him for Jameer Nelson who just came back from an injury. One of the dumbest moves as a coach I was so pissed.
I remember that bs, the Orlando Magic had the momentum all throughout the playoffs & that dumb coach made that stupid move & put jameer Nelson in the Lakers' series & the series took a turn.

That first year Skip had in Toronto that he's talking about is also the same year Vince Carter was angling to get out of there and was ultimately traded to New Jersey in December of 04. It was a rough year on all of them

Now that I’m older I see i was inspired by it especially seeing him get to the nba. Being teammates with T-mac and being able to play as him in nba street 2.

Alston would have done better in the finals as a starting point guard as opposed to Nelson in 09 when they faced the Lakers. Alston was consistent in the playoffs.
