    Emirates has had capacity equivalents to the 787 and the A350 before. 777LRs and A330s

    By the time the 777X makes it to delivery, if at all, it will be 7-10 years late. Anotherr white elephant just like the A380. The A350 is already well established with airlines that ordered the 777X and with the incremental improvements why would any airline want an aircraft that was designed last decade

      @kojoharrison630 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Airlines know their manufacturers and no matter what is reported in the media or online, they have their loyalties. Emirates will wait for the 777x because it gives them time to iron out finances after the losses from the Pandemic’s lockdown. Emirates have a plan which they will stick to no matter what it looks like to the rest of the world and people who love speculating

      At the moment could it make financial sense to option and order beyond even your most optimistic requirement projections - presumably they have a value, possibly including a significant premium?

      I would not be counting on the 777X ever being delivered.

      @@michaelpillingnow Michael you could be right (or wrong) and I'm saying this primarily because No One knows what is around the corner. No one can predict what lies ahead even in the next 5 minutes. Just take a look at Global Events that were unforeseen in the last 4-5 years. The Pandemic came from nowhere and brought the Entire Planet to its knees. It told the World that we are really not in control of anything. We can go ahead and lay plans here and there and propose future developments but 'A-World-Phenomenon' can suddenly and unknowingly breeze through and again change the course of Global history......and Airline Manufacture can be greatly affected too; who knows!!!!????

    So the A 350 was "months" behind/ And the 777X "years" and still not certified until when, 2027?

    Maybe the 300 total order, is potential replacements for their 380's? Maybe not all of em but for the most part

    I don't get why Emirates will use an A359 that can fly over 15, 200km carrying about 312 passengers for range around 10, 000km to 13, 000km. This is a true long-haul jet. It can fly further than the 773, unless of course they configured the latter to travel further than its normal 13 600kms.

      Yes, but their order is not close to emirates price wise. 175 777x +150 more wide bodies is HUGE and comes with a hefty tag.

    A380 is certainly not a white elephant,see how many are coming back into service,miles ahead of its time

    • @kojoharrison630
      @kojoharrison630 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      It’s Not a white elephant! A marvel in Aviation which was first conceived by Boeing (they have the original model of it in The Museum of Flights in Seattle). Airbus wanted to develop the double-decker with Boeing and were in discussion with them but at the time Boeing was already in the middle of developing the first/Pioneering Carbon fibre fuselage aircraft the 787 so they kindly declined and gave Airbus their Blessing to go ahead and develop what was to become the A380. Sadly though airlines no longer favoured 4-engined planes which drank fuel that’s why the A380 was never profitable and sadly Airbus had to stop producing it despite the fact that it’s an Engineering spectacle! I’m only an Aviation Enthusiast who supports all manufacturers who belong to planet Earth. I applaud them ❤️🙏🏾

    "next generation aircraft", referring to the B777X. Its not next generation, as its no more advanced than the A350 flying right now. In fact less so in many respects. Its just years behind schedule..........

    So when will Emirates start to buy up cheap mothballed A380s from Malaysia Air or Air France and refurbish them? Emirates signature aircraft is the A380 and they manage to fill them consistently. So, why not!?

    Emirates shortage will end when the other airlines in region pick up pace and steal thier overpaying customers.
