@Maintenance Renegade Yeah i Think they should go back a bit and look at the older games they made. Rpg game and voiced character desn't often mesh well.
Maintenance Renegade Personally, I like having voiced character. It makes me feel more like Im playing as a human as opposed to a telepathic murder-bot. I do agree with the backstory stuff through. Also only choosing the “Sarcastic” option in Fallout 4 is the best, because those are definitely the best voice-acting.
@Maintenance Renegade I agree with both of you. I'd definitely like their next game to have a voiced protagonist, but more dialogue options, which isn't that hard to pull off. Also maybe it would benefit from having at least 3 voice options like Saints Row 3 & 4 did, so you could pick the voice that fits your character the most. But maybe I'm asking for too much. I really enjoyed Fallout 4 though, I made a female character and her voice actor is amazing. She was voiced by the chick who also voiced Jack in Mass Effect. 🔥 Apart from that, I didn't like FO4's story much, but the gameplay, building, map, world exploration etc. were amazing imo. If it had a story line and sidequests like New Vegas or The Witcher 3 it would've easily been GOTY for me.
Man. To this day, I still feel a bit "betrayed" by that Bioshock Infinite demo. I used to watch it on TH-cam over and over again, trying to find little details about how the mechanics worked and taking in all the sights and sounds--it really gave me the impression that Columbia was going to be this semi-sandbox environment you would play a big role in. I was so hyped for the release I even pre-ordered the Premium Edition (and that "Beast" commercial they played on TV every break only got me more hyped). The final game was still a relatively fun ride while it lasted, but I can't help but feel it was a bit lacking. That was the last time I ever pre-ordered a game.
@UCM1GPWUkYLiknPlaFn3ojIA True, true. I probably could've looked a bit harder at the trailers later down the line. I don't know if it still exists, but if you played Watch Dogs on PC there was an unofficial patch that would restore the graphics shown at E3. The mindblowing thing about this: the hardware-requirements to run the E3 version were lower than if you tried to run the game on it's official "ultra" settings.
You showed a few clips of uncharted 4. I wish you would have touched on it a bit more. That demo was completely accurate to its gameplay and a perfect example of how to get it right.
Good video but have to point out that for Watch Dogs even though those features were available, they were not performed nearly as well in the final release of the game than in the demo.
Perhaps someone has said it a few million times already but Raycevick's Patreon screen scroll is the most entertaining, informative and pure awesome out of every gaming TH-camr that I have seen. Still sad to see your subscriber count is below a million.

Fallout 76 announcement is in-engine footage. Metroid Prime 4 announcement is just the Prime 1 intro theme with the number "4". HOLY MOSES, I'VE BEEN DECEIVED
Finally a Raycevick video in my feed! Great stuff as always! Yeah I never really remember the complaints about Watch Dogs being the gameplay but just the graphics. Which was the opposite for Fallout 4 where people wanted a more traditional RPG with number crunching while they got a more streamlined version.
The most accurate was probably Zelda: Skyward Sword in 2010 - what was depicted on screen was in the end product. This was made even better by the live demonstration of the game. There were technical glitches but, for me, seeing one of the Leads on stage trying to solve the problem enhanced the presentation. Additionally, seeing Shigeru Miyamoto presenting a game he has worked on with genuine dedication and passion is much better than seeing a celebrity or similar person deliver a presentation, who have little or no experience making Games. =)
I honestly feel bad about the guys at bungie who worked on halo 2, if you look into it those guys went through hell to rebuild a game on a completely different engine as the last was too good for the hardware in nearly no time
The part that bothers me the most about the Bioshock Infinite demo is something I never see anybody else talk about, but it was a small detail among the big ones that everyone else always talks about. It was the fact that vigors used a number system rather than a standard MP/salts/EVE bar that the final game went with. This implied more that the vigors had finite uses before you had to get another bottle of that specific vigor to use that specific vigor again. And that would have been...so fucking cool.
i remember playing watch dogs blind without even knowing about its "next gen" hype and i enjoyed every moment of it. it was amzing. it was only when i saw vids on its e3 comparison that i started to feel that it was empty. huh.
Fallout 4 was probably the most I've ever been hyped for a game. That's why after I finally got to playing and experiencing the game, I was immensely disappointed. Oh cool he clipped the Microsoft announcer.
_wait a second_
Nice profile pic. Thats a blast from the past. I havnt played ff10 for so fucking long lol
Mr Cevick, I would just want to say that this online video was up to the high quality I have come to expect from your channel!
Thank you kindly!
I don't know if it still exists, but if you played Watch Dogs on PC there was an unofficial patch that would restore the graphics shown at E3. The mindblowing thing about this: the hardware-requirements to run the E3 version were lower than if you tried to run the game on it's official "ultra" settings.
HeroinHeld what’s the name of the patch/mod?
@@roberthipolito1351 I believe it was called "TheWorse Mod 1.0"
thinking about how we havent had a true e3 since this video released lol
The Halo 2 exhibit seems like a more successful version of what is happening to cyberpunk
Raycevick
the only person i call a real game journalist man such good videos
Bet he'd get a kick out of cyberpunk
Great video man. Loved you Q+A at the end.
You showed a few clips of uncharted 4. I wish you would have touched on it a bit more. That demo was completely accurate to its gameplay and a perfect example of how to get it right.
Huge212 Not really fair to compare a linear action game to everything else shown
Always a pleasure to have you in my recommended
I highly approve of the subtle background music of "Time to Rock and Roll".
Love your video's man !
It's so sad how many amazing ideas were held back by consoles.
And unfortunately, most sales happen on consoles. Its like the philosophy of mobile games. Even though mobile games are hated, they are currently earning more me money than console games especially in asian markets like china.
U can't ignore the most populous country, iys does not make sense from the business standpoint.
@@saruboss18 don't forget SEA and India too mate
Yep. :(
hejgustavful fking consoles why cAnt devs do things like Battlefield 3
Superior version on PC and downgraded version on consoles.
They’d get downgraded regardless because not all people would be buying high end PCs.
OOOOF Suddenly the jormungand soundtrack kicks in between 10/11 minutes. Loving it.
Wonderful video as per usual as well.
Fallout 76 announcement is in-engine footage.
Metroid Prime 4 announcement is just the Prime 1 intro theme with the number "4".
HOLY MOSES, I'VE BEEN DECEIVED
Didn't they also RESTART development after showing just the logo?
Your videos pump me up more than the demos
Great video.
*Likes Dredd: Ah, a man of culture.
This was very good. The subject matter is one I would not have realized would be so absorbing, you did very well!
Is that Jormungand music I hear at 10:48?
Good taste Raycevick
This video was great. I could watch more stuff like this. Keep it up man. Good job
Doom: Underpromise, Overperform.
Wow awesome I thought it was just going to be a show reel but this was structured and presented well
Crowbcat punching the air rn bc he didn’t think of this first
Finally a Raycevick video in my feed!
I love the anwers u give at the end.There r always 1 or 2 nuggets,there.
Thanks for sharing.
I got an email from Valve stating verbatim: the refund system is not meant to be used to demo games.
They will take away your ability to refund if you do it too many times as well. It's happened to people before already.
Dude I was waiting for a new vid from you and I am so happy you delivered at the same time as I checked your channel
Demos died some years ago, around the time when Dlc's came to popularity
What a coincidence right?
Systematyc oh shit, you’re totally right. Now we pay for demos and then commit to the full game as a Season Pass DLC...
Always awesome to see you upload.
I'd recommend looking into Yakuza. Yaluza 0, and Kiwami 2 are amazing, as well as the whole series. Really like your videos.
jgallag90 the dude play fps, shooters you recommend a beat em up rpg.... lol
CONGRATS ON 400K RAYCEVICK YOUR THE MOST ENTERTAINING CONTENT CREATOR ATM KEEP IT UP
I honestly feel bad about the guys at bungie who worked on halo 2, if you look into it those guys went through hell to rebuild a game on a completely different engine as the last was too good for the hardware in nearly no time
Yooo, that jormungand ost fits soo nicely, great video
Where's my popcorn?
I love it when you can literally see the work someone put into a video as you watch it.
Soooo when are you gonna make the video revealing that you're actually Steve Blum?
I knew he sounded like him!
We need him to say "Oorah!!"
I've been saying that since the first video I saw. I've met the man, its bloody uncanny. Now if only he would yell about those freakbags.
Will you review/finally play Ace Combat 7?
i remember playing watch dogs blind without even knowing about its "next gen" hype and i enjoyed every moment of it. it was amzing. it was only when i saw vids on its e3 comparison that i started to feel that it was empty. huh.
**Cries in MW**
I love your videos so much, Raycevick.
Love your voice, it feels like you are seducing me.
First time seeing a video from this channel, very good. Going to check out some more.
Fallout 4, love it or hate it, had a damn accurate demo that was also entertaining as fuck.
Edit: Andddd, he mentioned it. Great!
Fallout 4 was probably the most I've ever been hyped for a game. That's why after I finally got to playing and experiencing the game, I was immensely disappointed. Pretty much was a huge blow to my opinion for Bethesda, and following 76 I'm pretty at the bottom of the barrel with my opinions right now.
@@stealthiestboy lol yeah I was hyped as fucked about the game to. And it first I liked it. But then I make a pause and played the witcher 3 and metal gear solid 5. And after I finished thous both game then I played fallout 4 and jesus... It become a fucking dissapotment.... I sold the game. And that was the first game that I sold. It was so bad for me...
These conversations need to happen so we can keep a handle on these growing massive studios. Nice work!
You mispronounced Godd Toward.
*Todd rays intensify*
He has since lost that name.
Funny how Todd Howard's reputation went from "great man who means well" to "deluded scumbag with no integrity" in such a small time frame.
Bethesda's reputation in a nutshell really...
Im glad you brought up that Doom 2016 trailer. I havent heard anyone talk about how much of a trainwreck it was. Thankfully, 15 year old me still found something fun about it, because I ended up preordering the game and buying a PS4 specifically to play it. But looking back that gameplay was absolutely terrible.
