Body shops charge that because many many many customers get estimates so they could put money in their pocket which is not the case in lawn care in my opinion .but if you choose that body shop that charged you $60 for the estimate you repair it there they knocked that $60 off your bill
Second I believe if you give a customer estimate if they don't choose you either you're not a good salesman or you just didn't click with that customer usually does not have anything to do with price but more with trust in my opinion
I don’t charge for estimates...I feel that would be a big turn off to the hopefully new customer. Especially if it’s just a small job like mowing a little yard...witch I love that easy quick in and out jobs. That’s my opinion boss. Get grinding brother
