- The snow is very deep at my canvas tent in the wilderness. It's nuts and makes for challenging conditions. But it's beautiful. The snow is silent, and it sparkles. I have a new stove that I'm using. It is insane. Perhaps the coolest stove on the planet. It's like a giant old-fashioned kerosene lantern that is also a stove to cook on. In this video, I eat like a king and I soak up every second of the great outdoors.

I'm a big fan of your channel. I don't comment often , but I grew up in Alaska and spent 90% of my time in the woods. Whether it be fishing, hunting, camping and just enjoying the outdoor life. I do some of it now but nothing like I used to so watching you do this feels like I'm coming home. Thank you very much for enjoyment of nature and life. It gives me the warm and fuzzies.

I made custom pins for my skidoo toboggan by drilling a small hole 1/4 inch from the end of the pin to allow a cotter pin to be inserted after you put the pin through the hitch and put the keeper on. Works like a charm and haven't lost a single pin in 3 years when we use to go through a couple pins every trip because the keeper pops off then the pin pops out of the hitch.

Defo something primal and satisfying about watching someone build and light a fire, then cooking from it! Then when you add the beautiful scenery, it makes for great watching!
I’d love to see you push yourself to cook more adventurous meals, showing that exploring and being in the wilderness, doesn’t have to mean you miss out on really good food! It would also be great to see you cooking with more unusual foods (for me anyway), showing off Canadian specialities and food you are only likely to see in the North! Perhaps also seeing you hunt your own food sometimes

I love watching your tent camping videos, Jay. Even better than the cabin videos. (Not that I don't like the cabin. I do!) I just really love seeing how you survive in a tent when it's -30 degrees outside. Brrrr! And the sometimes really horrible-looking food you eat just amazes me! LOL!! Great video as always - I was up at camp this past weekend, and blew the drive belt in my quad getting in. Had to fire up the snowmobile for the rest of the weekend, and ended up towing out my quad, and parking the sled out front near the truck. Warmth and rain coming - going up to get my quad tomorrow for a trip to the mechanic shop.
I definitely feel the same reverence for the land that you were speaking about. I feel it everytime I'm able to get out into the woods, which is not nearly as much as I would wish. I love your videos. Its like being there. I appreciate what you do. Thank you!

I've camped out Hunting in -45C in a home made tent using a Cheap Princess Auto 40X60 Blue poly tarp . with a floor foot print of about 20X 35 , 2x4 framing and a home built wood stove 2'x2'x4' , open the drafts on the stove we could keep it at 40C in there noproblem @ -45C but we'd burn a half a cord of wood a day! LOL and we'd stay 10 days at a time ! fun times ! did it for 35 years , 3 over us , I;m the last one left and I'm 68

I'm not the type to write comments but I will say, I've been watching your channel for about a year and a half now. From one fellow Canadian, I wish to thank you sincerely to make me discover your part of our beautiful country. Unfortunately, I live near Ottawa and we didn't have a great winter this year. I'm into hunting and fishing and I know my way around the forest but never had the chance to try winter camping. Please continue sharing your adventures, experiences with us. It's greatly appreciated buddy!
