Embrace it, make the day better make them laugh, just be nonchalant. They are aware you're the third wheel they try to make it as less awkward as they can, be cool about and you'll always be that really good friend.

I kept replaying the end to check what language he was saying "The Fifth Wheel" until I realized it was in spanish lol "La quinta rueda". His was of pronouncing threw me off
Well I couldn't think of any way of writing this without making me sound like an angry 10 year old kid, so I'll just be blunt. He says "La quinta" which is spanish. But if it were spanish he says "wheel" as "jueda" or "wueda" but it's supposed to be pronounced as "rueda", so that's the only part where I am not sure if it's actually spanish.
Being a third wheel is like watching a melodrama except when you cringe or fangirl over the main couple, they sense you and they might also get awkward.
