The APCR for standard has a rather low (but not crazy bad) 252mm pen and a shell velocity of 1000m/s wich makes it as slow as a regular AP shell. APCR has only 2% of armor angle reduction istead of 5% as standard AP has, so frankly it's just a bad AP shell that you puke out. The HEAT ammo on the tank has a low pen of 300 mm and something in between 850-900m/s shell velocity. It also came with the all time low HP of 2000 for a heavy tank. Very slow turret traverse speed of 25 degrees/s These things remained after nerf and with lackluster HEAT pen it will make you struggle when confronting enemy heavy tanks because now you have to face them on their terms more often then not (because of mobility nerf). The tank has medium tank HP and since the over all armor is very low in general you're gonna get punished hard by HE and HESH even if they splash on the front of your turret (just below the turret on the front you have a weakspot that is 30mm if i remember correctly). The Kranvagn has a very specific and one dimensional role to play in this game as the ridge line hulldowner facing the enemy ONLY in front of you - i would say inside a cone of 20 degrees to either side of your gun (or they will HEAT pen the cheese-made side of your turret). This is THE ONLY thing this tank does good and because of all the "buts" and "don'ts" you suffer from simply makes this tank kind of hard to play Epilogue: To me this tank simply gives up too much to have this gun depression and this frontal turret armor. The footage above are two dream scenarios for the swedish heavys and they don't show you the every day fight in these tanks. Most of all they require patience with the risk of beeing too passive and therefore throwing the game. My most honest suggestion to the average player is to stay away from these tanks in WoT. The Emil II is my all-time favorite tank...never had more fun grinding through a vehicle before. Even though I have the Kranvagn, I still play the Emil II far more often.
I love the Swedish heavies...then again, I spent a lot of time in French heavies so when I heard about tanks with great gun depression, hard hitting clip guns and more armor, I guess it was kind of a guarantee that I would gravitate towards them.
I love them as they currently stand, if a little lack luster on the pen. Overall, my favorite line to play, third line in total after t57, Foch 155, then this line.
Good video QB! I do love how you never seem to have more than 1 arty in any battle and that arty never seems to target you. Most of your battles have NO arty in them, what luck! I always get open maps with 3 arties...so fun.
I've been playing my Emil recently trying to grind through to the Emil II and Kranvagn. I am now enjoying it far more than when I first started playing it. I think I've learned more about auto-loaders in the interim and have become more comfortable playing them now than compared to a couple of years ago. It is nice to know that they may be more effective going forward. thanks for another good video. Have a happy New Year.
Quickybaby’s videos out here saving me from this horrible train ride. P.S playing on NA server so these are the “on track” tanks. Up to the Emil 1 and omg it’s so god like. Best stats for any of my tanks by far
No 3-marks on the Emil and Emil II? You're slacking Scrubby-Baby. LOL Well played. They're very situational, but super fun when in a favorable position.
They are well balanced but I do feel like they need some love with the buffs on soviet tanks. Also I wonder if any of the unique features will end up on the new med line like auto loader or armour.
I think its the psychological effect of the turret form that deters people from shooting the Emil 1 because it looks similar to a Kranwagn's... Pavlov effect and all ;-)
QuickyBaby do you believe that the t10E5 american heavy needs some improvement to keep up like it counter part the patton got a little while back or do you feel it is in a state good enough to keep up with the other heavies.
Now if your up close in personal with these tanks not by choice but you haft to what would be the best play of action do you continue with the close combat or should you try and pull away to get a longer range of play? Or what
I played a game with the kranvagn, in 2 minutes I was on a ridge line, having 2 JPZ E100, grille 15 + a bunch of heavy and medium tanks, all spamming gold at me, I bounced 6800 damage in under a minute. That's the potential of these tanks. I would not say that the line is forgotten, you will see one of them from time to time. I usually platoon with my friends with 3 Emil II and its fun when you get on the right map in the right situation, the enemy team really doesn't know how to defend against us. It's a one trick kind of tank but I really think that it is not that hard to learn how to play it, Sure it require skill and knowabout how to play the tank effectively but I find it a lot more easy then other one trick tanks. Drive to a ridge line, target a tank and make sure you only expose your turret, Fire. Maybe drive back to reload but if the situation is under control and they are not shooting HE, Why not just get more damage blocked in the battle.
I've recently purchased the Emil and I really do not understand why these tanks are so uncommen. It is an amazing tank actually with a pretty good autoloader that can put in some serious work
Very timely video - just finishing my grind with the Emi 2 so looking forward to gaining the Kravagn. Have you seen the new 'meet the modules' newcomers info section now hidden away in the game under Combat Intelligence. Another step forward to ticking off your wish list of changes. Happy New Year when it arrives - thanks for sme great and well thought out content. :-)
I loved the line. Tier 5 and 6 were pretty nice, Leo with the big gun is my favourite tier 7 and the tier 8 and 9 were amazing . Getting kranvag was a little bit disappointed since you didnt feel any special advantages compared to the Emil II only a full tier 10 mm Also for a f2p veteran it was great to grind and not painful like other tech trees(the a5 one)
I’m actually looking forward to the changes for the Kranvagn. Here’s hopes that it comes back into the meta! Same for the E-100!! Might work on the Swedish heavies now!
Hey Will, i really like your vids and they helped me a lot understanding this game and becoming better over time. I like the Emil, because i like the variety of tanks and because of all his strengths and weaks that come along. Regarding your last vids i ve got to say that i think your criticism is very influencial among other wot youtubers and that kind of annoys me. All that WG-bashing about Pay2win and that so many tanks are overpowered doesnt seem to be right. All that content we use has somehow to be produced, right? It still is a very exciting game which i love to play and personally im pretty satisfied with many changes that happened during the time im addicted to it. Nevertheless i want to thank you for your awesome material and hope you continue to do so. Have a nice day and see ya on the battlefield (i d love to have you in my team sometime) :) Sincerely, Stefan
I had always thought the Emils and Kranvagn should've been classed as medium tanks. I know that the designs were considered heavies by the Swedish Army when they were in development, but their size is more akin to other nations' mediums and their (lack of) hull armor isn't very heavy-like either. And classing them as mediums would've made the progression easier given that the line leading up to them are a bunch of mediums and until next month there aren't going to be any Swedish heavy premiums to use as crew-trainers for the top tier tanks.
these tanks are exactly what the game needs more off, they have this special playstyle you don't get in any other tree, not OP but still awesome to play
I like the Swedish tanks. The strv74 is fun. Liked the Leo at T7, meaty gun on that! The prem T8 is very nice, although a Centurion, but nice tank. The Emil I was not the best tank, in my opinion and like you said, VERY situational. I feel the Emil II is a bit more "fun" or competitive. The gun on the Emil I was a bit lacklustre. Can't wait to unlock the "mobile crane" at Tier X! Now bring more mediums Wargaming!!!
waiting... the New Year to come, the extraordinary changes that WG promised... waiting that she calls me again, lose some weight, sleep a bit more... and suddenly I realize, it is not about waiting, but living it... happy holidays QB and all...!!! don't wait anything, just go after the change...
I have researched Kranvagn last weekend and than I have found that it would be buffed :3 it is amazing tank and if it will be buffed I hope it will be premium ammo penetration or turret traverse speed or horse power/ton.
I like the Emil, Emil II and Kran.. but, they are only really useful/functional on very VERY selective maps.. which is why a lot of people don't play them.. if you are in an open area, without the cover/hill points to use, the tank is a .. essentially free kill.. where the hull will not bounce squat, and the long clip reload means, if you are in the open, you are dead without being able to retaliate.
T32 has a general advantage over the Emil 1, as you can still pen an Emil 1 from the front of the turret if they are not looking down on you and you got around 230 to 240 pen, anything firing heat of 270 to 280 pen can also easily defeat the turret save if they are looking down at you, the hull armor makes a sherman look like a heavy, if you get to look down on the emil, its turret no longer means anything, and insta pen from any angle where the side is showing even if is the hardest angle to ever exist. Meanwhile the T32’s turret sill remains borderline unpennable in any scenario (looking up at, looking down at, face front equal elevation), gun has more dpm, its hull is actually useable as it can sidescrape and the front plate is thick enough to even contest equal tier heavy rounds on occasion, where the emil cannot. Emil is the extremist version of the T32, which trades general protection and usability for 12 degrees of depression with an autoloader imho.
@@Nat55atata, unfortunately the majority of the maps are designed for soviet tanks, which makes the turret of the t32 pretty much useless. also if you add in the fact that the Emil is faster then the t32, that also makes it eve less relevant in the current meta of WoT, like the majority of the American Tanks. there is just no love shown to them by the devs. which is sad.
@@zeroyuki92 the T32 is my first tier 8 tank and boy do I wish it had more pen... It's pretty painful and not fun to play now... Might as well go back to the T29. Also, guess what my second tier 8 is? Spoiler: it's even more irrelevant and painful. That's right, the KV-4.
Nice video but could you make it complete with the gameplay of the kranvagn? I once tested this guy out on testservers and it was not what i wanted. Well im stuck at the tier7 leo so far
At 2:05 why is it not putting holes in the E100 turret when you are shooting him? You shot the side of his turret a few times and not even a scratch shows up yet you still are doing damage every time???
QuickyBaby, these tanks can still be destroyed so I think they should be called "Hull Down Kings" (hint: DezGamez) or "Hull Down Dukes". Anyway, it is a nice video. Thank you for telling us at least one way to deal with these tanks.
I was so forward looking towards getting the Kranvagn, do my major disappointment. I'm not playing again until it gets the major buff it needs, when that will be, who knows.
T110E4 with 155mm HE eats Emil I, II and even the Kranvagn alive from the front! First shot takes out gun and usually a crew member, second shot takes out gun again ( and usually a crew member) and it is completely useless for the next 90 seconds as well as doing 1K damage, making them mostly "non-combatants" at that point.
The Kran is really great in some clanwars situations.. the burst damage and strong turret is really effective when you need to be able to step in and throw some damage to change the outcome of a brawl. No its not great in all.. but there are times. 277 Isnt the best.. but there are times the fast Russian is needed.. sometimes the IS-7.. sometimes the Super Conqs. The Kran has a place at times. A rebalancing will be nice if they bump it a little.
Everytime i play my swedish heavy tanks there are 3 arties on both teams and i get utterly anhilated in seconds. But when you dont get focused the tanks are awesome
I think Japanese mediums have to get buffed. I haven't played them yet but I rarely see them in the mm, which is leading me to believe they aren't very gutt
Hey Quicky ive just changed my opinion on +2 mm... Its just cruel, you either have fun or minimal chance... I mean what should a Cromwell do against a defender? And like always when Defender is top tier, the game outcome is pretty obvious...
I can attest to this, when I see one.. Even say I'm in a top tank destroyer like a T95 or Obj.704 I know that even with premium rounds nearly 330mm of penetration will not go through the turret.. SO, I just dont shoot at them lol. I'll obviously find cover and flank them or find another target.
I like my Emil II, it is fun tank to play, but I am currently dissapointed with Kranvagn because it is just tier 9.5. It is just slightly better Emil II with worse MM. I hope they give it 150mm autoloader.

Enters and joins the lemm train and the tank is so crazy on point he dipped into gold since the beginning.
We had less, but more versatile tanks and that was interesting. And I loved tier 8 lights with +3/-1 MM. I loved that I had to work for it to get a GG
Getting kranvag was a little bit disappointed since you didnt feel any special advantages compared to the Emil II only a full tier 10 mm
Also for a f2p veteran it was great to grind and not painful like other tech trees(the a5 one)
Quicky, do a comparison between the TVP 50/51, and Škoda T 50, and the Italian meds
I’m actually looking forward to the changes for the Kranvagn. Here’s hopes that it comes back into the meta! Same for the E-100!!
Might work on the Swedish heavies now!
Hey Will,
i really like your vids and they helped me a lot understanding this game and becoming better over time.
Have a nice day and see ya on the battlefield (i d love to have you in my team sometime) :)
Sincerely, Stefan
"justice from behind".... Right QB

Can you talk about VK4502A or VK
4502B? I’d like to say it is the most underrated line.
I'm actually excited about the new Swedish medium tank line. I don't know if they will be successful but I don't think they will be soviet clones.
I love them, adds another play style.
Love your videos man, so much knowledge to give others 👌
these tanks are exactly what the game needs more off, they have this special playstyle you don't get in any other tree, not OP but still awesome to play
"Justice from behind" ... I see what you did there !
Good timing since this line is the "On Track" on the NA server. ("top of the tree" for you across the pond)
Struggled with Emil 1's gin pen in the 357 +2 mm. Recently bought it back after the changes to the mm and I am having more success.
Now bring more mediums Wargaming!!!
the Emil could use an aim time buff but the Emil II and Kranvagn are my favorite tanks in the game tier for tier
0:46 Thanks for demonstrating why the continual flooding of autoloaders is bad
This tank is a nightmare to deal with on same-tier , especially if you were in a medium/light. Gotta jab that 2 key just to pen a lower plate...
Emil+ Westfield map = perfect combination
I love how QB nods when the video starts :))))
waiting... the New Year to come, the extraordinary changes that WG promised...
waiting that she calls me again, lose some weight, sleep a bit more...
and suddenly I realize, it is not about waiting, but living it...
happy holidays QB and all...!!! don't wait anything, just go after the change...
Boy this video didn't age well. All hail the era of hull down monsters which can't be killed
Seems like the Emil 1 makes the T32 useless in almost all regards
Well, QB made it seem like a god tank, however, if there's any arty, you're gona have PTSD
If T32 has a much better gun (at least more pen on std round) T32 would still be relevant
QB, can you please make more videos of mid tier vehicles from T5-T8?
At 2:05 why is it not putting holes in the E100 turret when you are shooting him? You shot the side of his turret a few times and not even a scratch shows up yet you still are doing damage every time???
Other than that, Very fun playstyle and I’m happy to see a video about the swedish heavies because I mIsSeD tHe TwItCh LiVe about them
5:24 justice from behind :D
QuickyBaby, these tanks can still be destroyed so I think they should be called "Hull Down Kings" (hint: DezGamez) or "Hull Down Dukes". Anyway, it is a nice video. Thank you for telling us at least one way to deal with these tanks.
Im playing the T32 atm, can u make a vid about the tank?
1st game gg, lmao that finish and tanks in those last frames. 2nd gg.
I was so forward looking towards getting the Kranvagn, do my major disappointment. I'm not playing again until it gets the major buff it needs, when that will be, who knows.
Kranvagn needs a BUFF, it's so weak right now
All it needs is a shorter overall reload time and it'll be good again.
Few tanks have been anounced to get buff are e100, is-4 , kranvang, stb 1 and leopard so i guess those will come somewhere in 2019
Are we sure it is going to be buffed ? Cuz WG is using the word " rebalancing " . Kranvagn definitely needs buff but i'm suspicious about WG.
@@feanorcurufinwe702 they have one job and if they fuck it up im impressed
They need to do it to t110e5 too. It's been left behind too much while the is-7 got its buff already.
Some of my favorite moments are in the Emil II, hiding my lower hull and bouncing JgPzE100 gold rounds. Easiest steel wall of my life lol
LOL, only QB get TD's walsing up in front of him in the open :) That never happens to me! However also love my Kranvagn.
Can we see a review on the current state of old school premiums like E50 line, STB, AMX30 and more?
Feel bad for that Scorpion G 😂
The UDES 03 can go through the Emil's turret with standard rounds
T110E4 with 155mm HE eats Emil I, II and even the Kranvagn alive from the front! First shot takes out gun and usually a crew member, second shot takes out gun again ( and usually a crew member) and it is completely useless for the next 90 seconds as well as doing 1K damage, making them mostly "non-combatants" at that point.
Idk how did you stand on the hill for 7 seconds without being spoted and rocked?
Played emil I,II and Kranvagn. Emil I was fun, Emil II gun handling was POS, Kranvagn is surprisingly fast, similar problem as emil II
“Gets a little bit of justice from behind and finished me off”
Alrighty then
To this day I am still waiting for that "Thank you m'am" 2:54
The Kran is really great in some clanwars situations.. the burst damage and strong turret is really effective when you need to be able to step in and throw some damage to change the outcome of a brawl. No its not great in all.. but there are times. 277 Isnt the best.. but there are times the fast Russian is needed.. sometimes the IS-7.. sometimes the Super Conqs. The Kran has a place at times. A rebalancing will be nice if they bump it a little.
Now, I've got your T-shirt... Looks nice, colourful, good fabric, tnks...
When 2 uploads in a row are from Westfield you know there isn't enough maps in wot :D
Rebalance the Crane?
WG: “Hello tankers, today we are unveiling a new tank we found in the Swedish archives. It’s called the Kranv-Object 277-agn.
Everytime i play my swedish heavy tanks there are 3 arties on both teams and i get utterly anhilated in seconds. But when you dont get focused the tanks are awesome
I love the sweidish heavy line the krangvn is a god hulled down
Does anyone else get excited when he uploads then figure out its not the modpack ?
better get used to not using it it won't be long before XMV is gone
QB i think you make a mistake when you said the E4 will probably bounce on the Emil I turret :p
Yep and I haven't seen a E5 for years now with the E5 with 45% winrate
I think Japanese mediums have to get buffed. I haven't played them yet but I rarely see them in the mm, which is leading me to believe they aren't very gutt
Hey Quicky ive just changed my opinion on +2 mm... Its just cruel, you either have fun or minimal chance... I mean what should a Cromwell do against a defender? And like always when Defender is top tier, the game outcome is pretty obvious...
Ohhh!!! An old outro...haven`t seen that one in a long time...cool "easter egg"
I play Arty alot... and I find the Emil's very crunchy!
