Hey man I’m back again, thanks so much I was literally looking for a mafia video on your channel and here it is!!!! (Perfect coincidence) Love ur vids (swear I say this all the time but it’s true)
@ph-fi7qo The Mafia 2 remaster has to be the laziest thing I've ever seen. On my playthrough currently, I'm struggling to notice any differences from the original game. I understand it's not a remake but jesus, at least update some of the controls or character models.
@@L321 This is my biggest wish. That we get a Mafia 2 Remake. I have always hoped that since Mafia IV will take place in Sicily, maybe the story takes us to America at some time and that we would also return to an expanded version of Empire Bay so they could use that map to a Mafia 2 Remake
Not to mention the soundtrack. I’m a huge fan of jazz and I appreciate the radio having some of my favorite artists like Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, and Mildred Bailey ❤

I just finished the game an hour ago since it’s on Gamepass, never played a mafia game before but this one felt like a movie, solid gameplay, story and graphics. The world feels lived in and grounded and I loved how the radio updated according to events going on at the time. I’d recommend this as a one and done game that’s worth your time even for the vibes alone.
Got it when it came to gamepass...just finished playing through the story and it was absolutely brilliant...best game i have played in a long time and kept me coming back for more... im just a casual gamer but found myself kicking the wife up the stairs so I could get this on most nights for the last week... disappointed i have completed the game but great experience 10/10
I like how the reason the main character initially joins the Mafia is out of desperation from the Great Depression. This was also during a time period in which Italians were heavily discriminated against, and unable to find much work. His path into the Mafia is something that, while you don't condone, can understand given his circumstances.
Fantastic game. The original Mafia was the very first game I ever completed when I was a kid, it felt like an epic gangster film back then and will always be a "special" game to me. That said, this definitive edition was a great experience and improved lots on the original game and really added depth to the story and characters. Salieri was great in the definitive edition, he had such presence, Morello was great too, a big improvement on the original in my opinion, he was the kind of character you'd find in a show like Boardwalk Empire. The new Paulie took a while for me to warm to as I really like the original but all in all this was a good game. The GTA Definitive Edition should have been more like this instead of what we got! Great video
I just finished this game today. A really incredible experience. I think this will be a timeless masterpiece, but i agree about it not really being replayable.
Thats what I was hoping for Red Dead 3. Where you play in the early 1920's as Jack Marston, Tommy guns, dope bank robberies, ect. Probably will never happen but yeah thought that would always be dope asf 😂
If your a workout cardio weirdo person like me and looking for a game to play while walking on treadmill, I definitely recommend this game! It’s more of a story/movie with some action scenes. Another game to enjoy while walking on treadmill is “Plague Tale: Innocence”
Yes, I never completed all of them, not by a long shot. Still, if that is the only thing missing then I'm not worried; the most fun I had in Free Ride was the freedom to try any vehicle and go anywhere I wanted, fighting the police and other mafiosi when I felt like it, with the ability to customise the level of police presence. Often I'd just drive around the beautiful city, obeying the speed limit and traffic lights for as long as I could. I played it in the 2010s and it still held up as a great game. The graphics were well designed because even though they were over a decade out of date from a technical perspective they still didn't look ugly.
Mafia related games or movies have always been a lifelong favourite of mine. I loved mafia the definitive edition but I never got to play the original mafia the city of lost heaven unfortunately. I did play mafia 2 and 3 and enjoyed them both and I mean the original releases of mafia 2 and 3 and not the joke remasters of them. The Godfather games are long overdue to be added to gamepass and I hope a day comes when they are added.
The original Mafia blew my mind, I remember being overjoyed at playing the demo (PC Gamer cover CD!) and realising this game was going to be a gold standard for me when judging other games for years to come. The sequel was not as much to my taste, and never captured my heart like the first one did, in fact I was really pining for the end of Mafia 2, it was a real grind (a number of years ago I played the original Mafia again, not completing it, but thoroughly enjoying it and still prefer it to the sequel). One of the things about the original that gave great longevity (apart from it being quite hard, it took me a long time to complete it, though I've never been someone who easily completes such games) was the lovely feel of the driving, even better than the fun driving GTA, and the free ride mode gave me a huge amount of satisfaction just for exploring the map all over again without having to worry about completing the mission, and getting into fights with other mafiosi and the cops. I am hoping that this definitive edition will retain that feeling.
@@KingX. It's OK. The story was short, the characters underdeveloped (particularly Franklin), the vehicle physics was watered down (deformation, tractions, weight, behaviour), the shooting mechanics felt arcadeish, the fighting system was watered down, the AI was bad, the damage system for NPC:s was bad (for instance, taser guns killed people), the clothing and haircuts were limited to each characters set style, there were no safehouses to be bought, almost no enterable interiors leaving Los Santos feeling like an empty movie set efter the story was over. I played GTA V for the first time at release back in 2013, and not much has changed since then. No updates for singleplayer. It's an online-focused which I am not interested in. Once the story was over I got tired of it quite quickly.
Mafia was always my favourite games since mafia 1. I loved the de but i really loved the atmosphaire in mafia 3. 70s is the best setting, with plenty of mods the mafia 3 looks amazing,im currently playing it again. Hopefully the next mafia game will be set im 60s or 70s
I’m currently playing Ghost of Tsushima for the first time but I have thought about maybe playing this after since I did play the original 20+ years ago.
I started playing this last night on PC. It’s tearing constantly and hitting 85 degrees on cut scenes. It’s definitely the game and not my components because it’s normally in the 60’s on all other titles.
Everyone, I would like to ask. I'm still experiencing the issue of an infinite loading screen where Tommy is standing at the side with character motion in the shadowy dark background, a sudden drop of fps in several cutscenes, and also an occasional crash to the desktop during the game despite following suggestions in an online thread like turning off the launcher, do window screen view, deleting launcher file in the folder, etc. As troubleshoot. I do not experience this problem in Mafia II classic and definitive and even set in max graphical setting too. Is the problem coming from my rig, or is it a common issue bug that needs to be fixed in Mafia 1 definitive? I wonder.
Don't buy it in on online key store sites (unless there's no other option for some reason), because developers/publisher get no money from it, it's actually worse than pirating it. On Steam sales it cost 8€, so you don't have to buy it elsewhere anyway.
My main problem with Mafia Definitive they create these incredible sets you only go to once. While in Free Ride the Interiors are fully loaded but are unable to access any of the buildings. If you complete that level you should be able to access the interiors in Free Ride and be able to explore more.
I was fortunate to experience the original Mafia game back in the 2000s. It held the title of my favorite game story until Red Dead Redemption 2 came along in 2019 and took that spot.

It was impossible, and I don't remember having any issue on the original. I stopped playing. There also was something I can't remember now. Missing some music?
