This is possibly be my favorite episode made in this vampire series. I really like the lore of bonding between vampires & humans. To me, bonds are kinda like a marriage thing. But more connected to the heart & pretty rare. I really like this lore! Kinda reminds me of witches & familiars forming pacts but in a more romantic context~ pretty neat!
I love the explanation of the bond. It's really interesting that theres a more tangible reason for their connection then just being "destined soulmates" or something like that. The world and characters in this series are so interesting. And with the threat that someone might try to use the listener to get to Xanthus I cant wait to see what happens next!
Irl no boy has ever made me blush n m proud of it but as soon as I hear xanthus my heart feels everything it races it drops I feel pain when I hear I am his weakness. The amount of connection I feel with this character is too much. Thanks saku!!!!
This is super interesting and i pretty much guessed that the whole bond thing was gonna have something to do with our blood. But at the same time im conflicted. As cute as it is that we care so much for eachother to the point that Xanthus would give his life for us, it also feels a little forced seeing as these feelings are all because of this bond and if we werent bonded we wouldnt even feel this way. Obviously knowing me im probably overthinking this but i just cant shake the feeling 😣😣 still great storytelling as always Saku!

Xanthus has my heart and this story is officially my second favourite after the Noble Trials. The character is executed way too nicely and the story is too angsty for me not to be absolutely enraptured by it. Amazing job!

This is sort of a theory I have, I think that Xanthus will end up trying to prevent anything possibly bad happening to us, that he will just stop interaction with us and just try to keep as little talk with each other as possible so that when the time come and we die he won't be as sad or upset because I think he is afraid of losing people. We barely see him talk to anyone besides our incubus friend and the Vampire lady that came.
