FEW LINES YET POWERFUL IN CONTEXT
That line is simply trying to tell us that, as believers, there are times when our faith in the Lord will be tested and paraventure Jesus chooses not to save us, hope we will still count Him faithful and remain standing in Christ?
The journey of the believer is not without trials and persecution. Therefore, we must count it all joy when we're faced with all kinds of trials knowing that the trial of our faith produces patience and patience must finish it's work making us perfect and mature.
The lives of the three Hebrew boys( Shadrach,Meshach and Abednego), Daniel, Paul and countless patriarchs of the faith proved this.
Like Job, we must learn to say, " Though he slays me yet will I praise him."
That line is so powerful and not meant for babies but the mature in Christ.
