This scenario has potential to be made much longer. Temporal mechanics is always a fun one to work with. Asia and Africa both disappeared, to have never existed, in THIS timeline....

What
Asia is the most populated continent, so in this scenario, about 3 billion people died.
Or 4-5 billion.
no all 8 billion actually, because primates first evolved in Asia which then evolved into Homo-Erectus in Africa causing more homo types to exist and go extinct until current day.
Followed by all of humanity when Africa disappeared.
That means everything to ever come out of Asia, whether that’s music, art, literature, science, or technology would simultaneously disappear. That’s nuts.

A few plot holes:
-Europe is gone on the map, but everyone mentions just Asia being gone.
-If a cosmic rift sending a continent away erases all trace of its existence on other continents including people, then how come the people who remember Asia don’t report on the mass disappearance of Asian-Americans?
-On that note, how come Native Americans don’t also vanish, considering they arrived in the Americas through Siberia?
The last one regarding native Americans being from the Bering Sea Land Bridge is just a theory that has not yet been proven, and there has been many fossils found in america from BEFORE the sea bridge that appear to be human, slightly disproving the bering land bridge.

My best guess as to what happened to Europe is it became the newly formed land on Australia
@@josephpruitt2067 Yes, it makes sense, however it has been relatively disproven by human fossils discovered from WAY longer before the migration supposedly occurred, and when life split into mammals and fungi, we could have migrated to modern North America WAY earlier.

This is really good and one of my favorite eas scenarios. We need more stories like this. Please do a remaster or something with more ineterest in detail. Also that ending with the anthem is bone chilling.
The fact this was so simple yet very serious in situation, really made this into my favorite EAS.

So if Europe disappeared alongside Asia... doesn't that mean the Americas were never colonized and the USA shouldn't exist either? Also, if the VHS system was invented by Japan, doesn't that mean these tapes shouldn't even exist?
Plotholes aside, this is genuinely one of the most unique analog horror series I've seen. It's terrifying in a very existential way.

I decided to watch this on a phone in full screen lying in a black room after not having slept for quite a while. I felt a little bit like crying at the end, especially when the music played
I listened to that again and yeah that overdrive demonic howling that apparently consisted of the US national anthem while humanity was about to corrupt out of existence and supposed to enjoy itself in the end gave me chills

The disappearence of europe actually could have been the explanation for the lost quality at the end. Since the two world wars didn’t happen, technology that was developed at a faster pace at those times was lost!
What if Europe is that mass around Australia? Or the extra land where the Gulf of Mexico is?
@@GreatValueMapleSyrup maybe due to the disappearance of Europe caused large amounts of water to fill up the area, leading to the gaining of land in shallow places like -Australasia- and the Carribean.

A possibly world ending scinario where the fabric of reality literally deletes continents from the earth to an unknown place, honestly id like to see a movie with this idea. Good job.

Notice how in the map showed at 3:46, Australia, and slightly less noticeably Africa and the Caribbean seem to have grown in size. This is due to the fact that now the entirety of asia (and europe i guess) are gone, sea levels would lower drastically. Gotta love the attention to detail.

I think good EAS horror needs to feed into that chilling felling of not knowing what's going on, desperately wanting to, and being horrified because you don't. This captures that feeling flawlessly.

Even with the plot holes and flaws, The concept itself is horrifying on such an existential level. This is really good, I think we'd all love to see more of it!
The plot holes may be intentional, as they add to the confusion of the situation. Europe’s disappearance going unmentioned feeds into the idea of false memories and a confusion as to what has or has not existed

I actually love how when Africa disappears, we do, too. Imagine a ruler as a timeline, 1 is the past, and 12 is the future, Africa was made close to 1, and humanity evolved at 6 or 7, but Africa somehow gone back in time, so it is at 1 again, this means humanity would disappear from the timeline.

I can’t find any flaws with this, i’d say it’s a 10/10 even for a first time. The creativity of using the Mandela effect is unique and that’s why i like it.

As an English teacher who encourages creative short story writing, I like the core concept.
As someone who likes to dabble in home movies and analog horror myself (nothing on my main channel), I tip my hat to the effort.
That being said, it fell flat in many aspects. This could be revised and improved in many ways so as to make an even better experience.

The thought of the "entity" taking control of the broadcast is the scariest part of these videos
This was a very smart, if short, scenario that was executed well. The only real criticisms that I have are that the shortness of the scenario means that there isn't a lot of time to build up any mystery or suspense, and that the running commentary in between each alert message kind of robs the viewer of the excitement of trying to puzzle together what is going on. It's that age-old writing advice: show, don't tell. Otherwise, very well done. I especially love the ending where the TV loses connection and cuts to "no signal." That's the kind of clever showing and not telling that I think you should keep going for in future videos!
The fact that it started playing the national anthem of the US and It specified that it would start playing the national anthems from other countries to commemorate humanity as a species in its final seconds and bring people together in difficult times is just utterly terrifying.
But its strangely comforting
It does feel pretty comforting. I would gladly hear the national anthem as the last thing I hear. If anything, I’d like to know my nation stood until the very end.

I think this deserves a remake. The lore for this EAS scenario can be expanded, for example what time this events were taked on, how were the last minutes of the asia or how the heck did the US goverment discovered Africa was the next to dissapear.
There's so much potential, like for governments to use the Mandela Effect to re-teach history and have us believe major events did, or did not, happen
A year later, and this still gives me the creeps. I have never seen a concept like this before, and I love it!

there's always been something gutturally terrifying about the alteration of memory and misremembering simple things to me. combined with the cold uncertainty and impending doom of EAS broadcasts, this creates a very promisingly horrific scenario.
that being said, there's a bunch of problems i have with this scenario:
static at the start was way too loud
the first broadcast is barely readable
the narration in between is forced and takes away from the video as a whole
"we're all gonna die ooooh noooo" ending is overdone and lazy
there are some things this video did right however
"DO NOT TRUST YOURSELF" is a statement i wasnt expecting to feel chills over
the black-and-white map with several errors is wrong in all the right ways
the temporal fuckery could be an intriguing concept if expanded upon
that is all my dumb brain has for now

something i always find interesting about these EAS videos is that everyone associates the color red with danger. even if there is no scary or disturbing message, red text (especially in the font used in the video) is always unsettling.
This is because red represents anger, danger, fear causing the feeling to happen

i watched this 4 times, every time its always so somber. Knowing that everything up to this point will come to a close. No more fighting, no more working, no more playing, no more anything. Just the thing that brought us together, being the last thing humanity has left. This is genuinely one of the most emotional EAS scenario's I've ever watched.
