You should have heard the Rolls-Royce Dart scream on the Vickers Viscount. I heard it from the outside and inside as a passenger. It was something to hear

Those Darts are one if not the sounding turboprop engines of all time.

I worked on those (as a mechanic) for Austin Airways back in the late 70s. Even having used ear protection, my ears are still ringing from being close to those Darts. Thanks for the memories!

looking through the comments and see your from Germany, Matheson a small town near Timmins has an old train station and on the bricks are signatures from people all over. Found 2 visitors from Germany in 1954, cool.

Ah yes the Hawkers. An almost daily sight for most of us in Northern Ontario. :)
Wasaya has quite a variety of liveries on their hawkers and each hawker arrival always makes a pretty nice sight. :)
Saw quite a few when working for freight last year. Along with a few Dash 7s and Beechcraft 1900Ds :)
Nice plane spotting video man. Never knew the air creebec hawkers flew close to Fort Severn from Timmins. Hopefully these hawkers can stay around for atleast another decade. But with the rarity of parts, it’s hard to say now. :)

Air Cree is retiring their last Hawker this year. Out of parts to maintain it.

i miss those British classic propliner! Grew up in Manitoba at my local CYTH Thompson where Calm Air had been flying HS748s out of Thompson for scheduled flights and freight operations for many years! The Darts such a beautiful high pitch sounds! They retired in mid 2010s to replace them to modern ATRs
