    I'm about to use a 4 stroke motorcycle's tachometer in a two stroke. Four stroke tachometer considers one single pulse (from spark plug wire) as two rotations. So it will lead to wrong calibration. Now I want to convert two pulses into one, in order to get the right calibration from the Digital tachometer. What device should be used to convert the pulses into half the number ( per minute)? Thanks

      Yes but at frequency in terms of 10 to 10 MHz , you cannot work with 555 timer IC.

      The duty cycle isn't constant, it varies as the pulse width varies according to the instantaneous value of the modulating signal.
