Storms do really well against melters. As long as enemy doesnt have anti missle. I think in this game anti missle anything would have helped more than vulcans and forts
Could have dropped Turrets in that last round instead of a Fortress and probably they would have done the work of the gods, with that amount of Stormies using EM, AM was an imperative for anything to work. Not to blame, sometimes we just get fixated and try to make our game work.
Nightcrawler only got 4 melters. Switching to vulcan and then fortress made his tech get split a lot, so he kinda lacked a proper carry unit this game.
So much fire/napalm lol. Stormcallers really good, melting pots really good. Thanks for the breakdown. Good to hear phoenix are good against melters, and never thought to put emp on them.
I love this replay, and thanks for the tips!! This works really well against non multimelter builds. I'm still struggling with the multimelter + energy absorption combo specifically since it outheals my damage. Is the solution just to get the EMP going on as many units as possible if the opponent is spamming it?
you can kill melting points with storm callers, upgraded sledge hammers, emp, fortresses, scorpions, even well positioned or upgraded sabertooth upgraded steel balls also arent terrible
if you mean a composition that features these together then it seems too expensive to gather together and too vulnerable to lots of stuff after you have assembled it (like melters, emp storms, etc.). Separately i think multihack is strong with high hacker levels which are very hard to get. So very niche technology but the stars might align sometimes. Multimelter is pretty good sometimes to counter sledges and balls which are normally the melter counter. There's avenues where the enemy is too deep into his composition and cannot counter the multimelter anymore
@@SurreyEZ the thought just came to my mind, that hackers need quite a time to switch target, so multihack with the ability which makes units full health paired with a melter that brings the life down to speed up the hacks without oneshotting the untis which would delete the hack sounds pretty cool in my head - but reality might counter my mindgame 😂
I'm at the point where I've traded fire bomb for marksman spawning. I don't know why it's a bait tech, is it too much investment, is it too easy to bomb your own units or what, but it's a bait tech.

Thanks for featuring my game (Even though I lost)
nice, didn't know it is you

yea anti-missile devices coul have been really strong

Great video! I learned a lot, thx

I love your page! You should do a video reviewing matchups/counters.
do you mean like composition based or unit based? they change quite a lot when time goes on so video format is a lot of work that cant be updated

How does War Factory help vs fortresses? Wouldn't melters make more sense?
interrupt the AA barrage
What's your opinion about MultiMelter+MultiHacker?

@@SurreyEZ Do you like fortified hackers? They die too fast without that upgrade.
How to win the Melting Point meta? Just hope that the enemy doesn't use Fortresses with anti-air barrage.
can be countered easily

@@4FunCycle yes
Only with Warfac AM? So Mustangs AM dont work?

Interesting take. I also dont like going fire but I see lots of high MMR guys doing it with all the units that can take it.
the real bait is the vulcan himself
@@SurreyEZ i only take it if fire badgers never show up. What do u take if not the vulcan against massive amounts of chaff?
@@TheManyVoicesVA wraith, whirlwind rhino
@@Fadeways i find the both get smashed by marksmen or phoenix. They have too short of range. Vulcan hangs out in the back and sticks around.

@SurreyEZ i always like the most of vidoe su post lately i am there writing u Chaplin :D keep it up love ya
thanks for the kind words!
The hardest thing to counter is a high level melter with regen item.
This scares me😬
yea. All health items in general are really strong with the melters. The items usually dictate if the game will be forced into a mirror matchup
