You could use less ingredients like you can miss the whole spices if you do not have them, you can opt to not use cream or ghee. Use what you have at home, if you do not have paneer you can make it at home, watch my how to make paneer video. You could also prep this with veggies or broccoli or chicken. Completely depends upon what you have at home. I had coal at home so could give smoke (dhungaar) to the biryani, if you do not have coal you could skip that step too. I did not have kesar at home, if you have kesar you can mix it with warm milk and add it just before the dum, the flavor is amazing. I hope you will be able to make this recipe at home! question: That puree wasn't cooked , is the low flame tawa enough to cook your makhni ? if the gravy isnt releasing oil it will be undercooked and that will taste very bad.

I have made this recipe twice now in lockdown. Everyone in my family loves it. The only issue is that we didn't have proper long grain biryani rice, so the rice was a bit overcooked. Will try it again now in the winter season with super long grain basmati.

Hey guys. I noticed chef Sanjyot draining rice water in the sink and kinda felt a lot of waste there. So if you’re too going to waste the water, STOP and read this. ~ If you used drinking water for boiling, use it as stalk water in your curry. You can let the water cool for a while and store in bottles or a large pot to use it later on in your sabzi or kneading the dough. ~ if you used tap water, you might save it to put in plants in your house of locality, or use it as toilet water. You can also use it to wash your hair since rice water is really good for your hair as it provide lustre and shine to it. ✨ We face a lot of water problems in our country so let’s be part of solution and not cause. :))

Hey guys. I noticed chef Sanjyot draining rice water in the sink and kinda felt a lot of waste there. So if you’re too going to waste the water, STOP and read this.
~ If you used drinking water for boiling, use it as stalk water in your curry. You can let the water cool for a while and store in bottles or a large pot to use it later on in your sabzi or kneading the dough.
~ if you used tap water, you might save it to put in plants in your house of locality, or use it as toilet water. You can also use it to wash your hair since rice water is really good for your hair as it provide lustre and shine to it. ✨
We face a lot of water problems in our country so let’s be part of solution and not cause. :))
