Chris Childerhouse shoots one of these and he’s one of the best sporting shots in the country the XS pro is just enough gun too be able to shoot to a high level Sam green also use to shoot one.
I’ve had the ultra xs pro for a year. Fantastic gun to shoot and very reliable. As you say, the wood can be variable - you have to keep looking to find a true grade 4 stock. The choke selection is also slightly odd: cyl, ic, m, m, im, lf, f, xf. Could do with more at the sk, ic end and less at the f, xf end of the scale. At £120 each, it’s expensive to fill in the gaps in the choke collection. Weight system gives real tunability.
Teague can supply extended (or super extended) titanium chokes for less money and they perform brilliantly. The super extended are fractionally longer than the supplied Briley versions and are actually slightly heavier too. I use two 3/8 Teague super extended titaniums in my Ultra XS Pro and if I miss ANYthing, it’s my fault!
Great gun, very well specced re fit and balance. Titanium chokes are a nice touch but in the context of transitioning to steel trap and game loads most of them are way too tight a constriction. The Briley chokes are prohibitive to replace @£125 a pop, Teague after market titanium just over half that! It shoots a dream for me, clays, decoying, game and wildfowling, it's done the lot, even with fairly punchy 36g steel 3s. Really recommend it and it's very pleasant to the eye.
@@IRateGunsyou get a removeable trigger group- which is only needed on v spring guns, and trigger is shorter to the break but besides that there isn't much a Dt11 can do that makes it better gun, besides beretta slapping fancy names on forging processes and forcing cones lengths they aren't exactly more than 2 steel subes and some wood
I got one five weeks ago, shot it for the first time today. The gun shots lovely, missed a few but that's just the idiot pulling the trigger. Hope to be out again soon.
my mates got one....its a real nice gun, feels lovely in the shoulder...heavy lol, its overpriced like a lot of shotguns i shoot a yildiz pro..... but ive got a nikko shadow with the big broadway rib... feels exactly the same as the browning!!, not as refined though...
I think they are the best clay gun out there without a doubt. Simples . I have the XT pro also which I prefer .
best value gun by a mile 525 bomb proof so many extras in the box highly recommended

I have one and like it. Choke comment is valid. I bought a skeet as I thought this balanced out the selection.
glade you're happy with it

👍
525 Brownings are nice guns
Indeed they are
Just got one but a foot injury prevents trying it out 😢
Sam Green world champion shoots one. Ive just got one, waiting to ahoot it.
Taking into consideration the extra's, would it be better to get a Ultra XS Pro over the Beretta DT11 which is more expensive and comes with less?
The DT11 is a much better gun, the 694 is more comparable.
