The bride of Christ will be taken out of here before any of the four horsemen ride. This is during the Tribulation period and the Holy Spirit will no longer be here. If you've believe in the finished work of Jesus on the cross, you won't be here for the tribulation. Jesus wouldn't let his bride go through the tribulation, that would make him a wife beater. Around 5:10, he says that this passage cannot mean for us what it did not mean for them. Much as I love Matt Chandler's teaching through the years, this is simply incorrect. For instance, what if we apply this same logic to a prophecy of Jesus in the Old Testament? Say Isaiah 7:14 where it says the virgin will give birth. What it meant to the immediate audience turned out to be very different from when it was fulfilled by Jesus several hundred years later. And in fact, the Bible is covered from beginning to end with prophecies that were given to a certain audience but fulfilled many years later in another generation. Does that render the prophecy useless until it is fulfilled? I don't have the space here to go into that, but of course that's certainly not the case. In any event, we can see that it's certainly acceptable for there to be an immediate application of a passage while awaiting fulfillment later on. In other words, Matt's conclusion that the four horsemen have already been released is not necessarily the case.
Man I love Matt Chandlers teachings but even though these events certainly have a spiritual implication for all generations that he does an amazing job of breaking down, these will most definitely be specific end times events as well. It’s not a coincidence there’s 7 seals for the final 7 year tribulation leading up to Jesus return. If you line the seals up with the events in Daniel it can bring a whole new dynamic to what we will see. I wish I had his ear for a little bit. The final antichrist is most definitely here snd will be entering into the covenant with Israelis likely this fall. There is so much more to this. The 144,000 is a literal number of Jews that flee into the wilderness (sinai). Please see Jeremiah 31. Isaiah 10, romans 11. Numbers are always literal in scripture. Language can be figurative. Numbers are literal. These are likely Orthodox Jews that have yet to accept Christ. The rest of believers are already sealed with the Holy Spirit so the trumpet plagues won’t affect us. That is the purpose of the sealing of the 144,000. The remnant mentioned in these other passages. “The virgin Israel in Jeremiah 31. Math is Gods signature on the scriptures and Christ’s second advent will come on a specific timeline laid out in the text just as his first advent did in the book of Daniel. Please the time has come that God is revealing this to people. I never understood this stuff as much as I studied it until this last year and it’s rapidly coming into focus. Everything in revelation is linked to a passage in the Old Testament (usually prophetic books) that go into much more detail as to what’s happening. If you don’t think they’re literal future events you’re missing out on the most amazing thing God has done with his word. We are literally watching indisputable prophecies unfold that will be almost impossible to dismiss as coincidence. No I’m not talking conspiracies. While this sounds good to the ear… revelation should always be backed up with other scripture. All of it. One of the greats once said, “I won’t commentate on revelation because it is to metaphorical” John Calvin I believe. There is just to much and it’s been translated so many times that who can assuredly say “this is it”
White horse a kingdom conqueror.....red horse civil unrest.....black horse economic sanctions.....green horse the four plagues God has used throughout time to chasten the people...... The altar...the laver....the table of bread......the menorah. Etc. all revelation follows the tabernacle order. I teach revelation.

Don't agree with your spiritualization of all these verses when it's very clear these are physical events. You should have no fear of these events if your his child.

So will you go through Judahs gate? Gads? Iscaachars? Benjermins? Levi's? only the 144,000 of that generation will live in the city with the most high and messiah. But does that mean everyone else will be destroyed? I don't think it does, because it does mention kings of the earth worshipping god giving all thanks to our city. Only the most high knows who is condemed to hell and who isn't all we know is what is written that he told us, but only he can have mercy. We know Edom will be whiped out for thier misdeeds over the years, which include romans, greeks, summerians, tyre, Macedon, Khazzaria and many more of thier tribes. But it is possable that thier will be everyone else besides Israel outside the gates on the earth. Becoming servants to the most high and messiah and our peoples who live in the city. But that part only YHWH knows and time will tell. Why do you reject the teaching that from chapter 4 to the end of Revelation is about future events? Why is your approach correct and Chuck Swindoll, John MacArthur, Ron Rhodes, Mark Hitchcock, Andy Woods, Jack Hibbs, Chuck Smith, Greg Laurie, David Jeremiah, W.A. Criswell, Jack Graham, Gary Fraser, Robert Jeffress, Tim LaHaye and many others are wrong? The events of this book did NOT happen in the past, nor are they to be "allegorized" away as you are doing in your messages. There is a LITERAL Antichrist coming. There is a LITERAL a Seventieth Week of Daniel--the Tribulation and there is a LITERAL Second Coming of Christ. To not prepare your flock for that is a grievous mistake. I hope and pray your listeners will look up some of these other teachers. I feel you are doing them a grave disservice. I have always loved your preaching, but have to speak up when I see you preaching this book so falsely. You are held to a higher standard as a pastor/teacher. I'll be praying for you.
Hello Wendy, the men you just posted are dear brothers-in-Christ that simply have a different eschatological perspective than Chandler. A view that really only became the dominant viewpoint in the late 19th century. In the words of Shai Linne, “These views are secondary to the gospel we believe on.”
The amillennial position is probably the most historical of all positions regarding the subject. Other preachers who hold to this view that are respectable are Voddie Baucham, R.C. Sproul, and Alistair Begg. You also need to remember that there's a difference between a partial preterism and a full preterism. To look at what something that's being said and misrepresent it is being intellectually dishonest.

I would say your statement about pre-millennial views being late in the game is false. I would encourage you to listen to 42 lessons from Dr. Andy Woods disputing the amillennial, preterist, and other views . Both stances cannot Be correct. I’ve listened to all his teachings plus dozens of other Bible scholars and pastors on these issues and have studied this for over 30 years. Matt Chandler is incorrect in his views, and he’s leading people astray. Teachers of the Word are held to a higher standard. I absolutely know these are not salvation issues but when I pastor is preaching in error I’m going to call it out as we all should do. I wish you the best

I would say your statement about pre-millennial views being late in the game is false. I would encourage you to listen to 42 lessons from Dr. Andy Woods disputing the amillennial, preterist, and other views . Both stances cannot Be correct. I’ve listened to all his teachings plus dozens of other Bible scholars and pastors on these issues and have studied this for over 30 years. Matt Chandler is incorrect in his views, and he’s leading people astray. Teachers of the Word are held to a higher standard. I absolutely know these are not salvation issues but when I pastor is preaching in error I’m going to call it out as we all should do. I wish you the best
