She is the best of the carillonneurs; I should know. I have bought every available lp recording of this carillon, including Koch, Klein and many others. She makes the carillon into an ethereal musicbox; every note perfectly timed. I love her.
I saw a viewer's request to play a song on this electronic carillon on a TV program back in 1972 called "You Asked For It". Herbie Koch played it back then. The "bells" have one voice that sounds like tower bells - the Flemish voice. The other voices are used mainly as an accompaniment. The sounds come from struck metal rods which are amplified over speakers in the tower.
Priscilla I went by the carillon yesterday and saw Mrs Mabel’s booth had been cleared of her belongings. I just wanted to inquire on how she was doing, I understand it would be tough for her to be out and about during this pandemic but still wanted to check on her. Please thank her for the wonderful music and joy she brought into my life. Praying for you, her, and your family. God Bless
I remember this at the 1964-65 Worlds Fair in New York City. I was 15 then, now I'm 72. Wow! how time flies by.
Mabel Sansing Sharp is the master of the Schulmerich Electronic Carillon.

@@tmiffyc she hasn't worked since Last March
Does she bring hubby along or is that one of the park staff who opens it for her to play?
FYI, it's "Clair de Lune" (moonlight)...
