I have noticed several comments about the charging handle falling out. I had the same problem. I made my own out of steel simple to do with a hacksaw or hand grinder. Made mine double length and added rubber bolt covers. Now it is ambidextrous too.
I have the Dickinson ranger. Looks just like this one. But there are some differences. Like mine has an ak style mag release. There are no screws to remove for breakdown. And the price for it was only $270 from palmetto state. Man I love it. Very reliable with both high and low brass.
@@deangrifin7551 hell yes it works. But I locked the bolt open for a month. When I took it out to break it in it fired everything I had but 1round. That was my fault.
Just so you are all aware this thing is Remington threaded so you can buy better chokes. Also if you have any feed issues polish the feed ramps with flitz and a dremel and she'll run. Love mine and he's not wrong about shooting clays. Got a buddy with a benelli supernova and I can keep up with him no problem.
Yep, I forgot to mention that... it comes with a dinky little choke wrench and I bought a much better one that I keep with the factory choke tube set. It's works a lot better than the factory tool....
It most definitely is seated fully. Shot it first time and lost the handle in the grass. Did a complete and thorough tear down and cleaning. Especially focusing on the detent. Waiting on good weather to try again. This time with a tarp. Also, I can’t seem to find a replacement handle on-line.
Give me a couple days... I will try and make a follow up video and focus large on the charging handle and where it inserts for the bolt. I dont know if it will help, but its a problem I have never had . Maybe you will see something that helps....
try painting the charging handle red. that way if it does fly off in the grass it should be easy to find. thats what i did to mine but mine hasnt come off yet.
Well since getting a new one isn't as easy as ordering one I'm going to copy mine , build a extra just in case. And if its relatively easy, I'll make a few .
Enjoyed your relaxed and informative presentation very much… I would appreciate you showing how to access, repair and/or replace the orange plastic in the receiver where the shell goes in the barrel. I can’t fully seat my shell because of a slight bump in the plastic.
Grady- it would be my pleasure! I only do this for my own entertainment and sense of personal satisfaction. So the viewers mean everything to me. I have no hopes or dreams of hitting it bug with youtube. This is just a fun little hobby. That being said... I need a little more information. There is no orange anywhere on my firearm, so I want to be sure I am addressing your exact area in question. Reply back with a little more detail and I will get right on making a video... Thanks!!!! MrHubb- 1st of all… My BTS12 was from a Pawn Shop. I bought the Unit as-is at a Greatly Discounted Price; but with a 24 hour Return. The “Orange-Thing” was the jacket remains of a fired shell, minus the brass that was left inside smushed inside not allowing removal or full insertion of a fresh shell. Thanks to your fast response, I realized what it was and removed the spent, damaged jacket with my Cleaning-Rod. I immediately put 6 Mag rounds through it; that shot & extracted like greased-lightning. End Result (thanks to you) $275 out the door. Please do a Village Idiot (me) disassembly Video slow and with close ups; Especially on the Charging Pin (removal/reinsertion). Thank you so very much for your video, fast response & time, Very much appreciated, Grady Young
@@gradyyoung7475 - Wow! Glad I was able to help with out even knowing it!! This is the real reason I do this. I enjoy helping and sharing this thing we all love. Tinkering and figuring out the little things we dont know and helping people, even if we never meet in person. With my schedule, I have a couple days of work before my next day off. But I am already working on the disassemble video in my head. Keep an eye out, it is on its way!! Thanks!!!
Have you seen any pouches that would hold the 10 round mags? M 4 double mag pouches will hold a single 5 round magazine. The older lc2 3 mag m 16 pouches will hold 2 of the 5 round mags if you cut out the separations inside.
I have heard AR10 Double mage carriers work, I think... VSO gun channel did a video running them on the range, I believe that was what they found that fit...
Tyson, No I have not. But, my charging handle is a tight fit, so I could see it not being fully engaged at the ball detent that holds it and having that happen.... Make sure that it is fully engaged with the detent mechanism.... Just a thought!
Tyson, video is uploading now as a response to your question.... dont know if it will help or not. But hopefully you will find something useful. Hope it helps! Thanks for watching and asking the question.
Its was tight to get out for me. I took a punch and hammer the put it back in. There is a detent ball should lock it in. I also slapped my girlfriend not really just my ar 10
Not so much nervous, but rusty... hadn't done a video in quite a few months. And my work schedule has prevented me from doing any since.... Hard to find a good rhythm like that.
I appreciate the information about the m 1919 mag.

I think several people would be quite interested in seeing that....

Hi, thank for the pretty informative video! It would be great if you make another one on how to fully disassemble and clean it.
Its in the works! I have already had a similar request made. So keep watching! Thanks!!
Nice video!
Thanks! It's a work in progress....

Nary a peep about chokes. Does this gun come with any?
Any hope for left-handed shooters?
I have a BTS12 as well and mine came with 2 chokes (FULL and 1/4). I would not recommend this shotgun for a left handed shooter.
I was wondering if you have encountered the charging handle falling out during firing? Thnx for you’re help
