Nice one sir, ooof January, hardcore spottin! I saw ye olde 47832 'Tamar' ex 47560 off OC a zillion times, only got a snap of her during my last ever visit to Exeter 2002! And the splendid 50043 'Eagle', the only 50 i modelled in 90's, i think i left that one round her house to play with and re-live old times :D
Class 50 - less of a Hoover, more of a Clagmaster! (Soi - do you have a video of a Class 50 actually sounding like a Hoover? Apparently they lost the sound post 1984 after a refurb...)
47832 Tamar, named in 1982. Appears on my layout!
Great footage, thanks! Class 50s burning more oil than a thrashed Mk2 Cortina, those were the days!
The gradient from St David's to Central is captured here. A day trip from London by NSE Class 50 ! Mega mileage in those days chasing locos.
Superb clag from Superb, good job Greta wasn’t around then lol😂
Great video. Thanks.

They were pretty run down by that point. The fitters at Laira performed miracles to keep them running for as long as they did.
By the time i got a vid cam in 1985 they had all been through refurb and the Hoover equipment had been removed.....
