Legally can keep 5 a day but they are too beautiful. Prefer to keep the little ones, right size for a meal and they are far more likely to get gut hooked..I did eat 2, 1 a day the next two days as I didnt think they would survive release.
Fantastic , that’s unreal ! Nice effort man ! Can’t wait to get back to the Adirondacks, spent eight nights canoe camping in northern Maine, got back last week, lots of fun !
Love your new net...you should have a Green Frog as the inlay! BTW...you're a better man than me, portaging in Crocs. On the carry trail is one place I want footwear that is a bit more substantial. Obviously, you carry it off without a hitch. Thanks for sharing this last adventure. It's always great to see you out in your Hornbeck, enjoying the great north woods. Take care and until next time...be well.
Idk how I missed this video when you released it, but finally got around to it now. You were not kidding when you said you had some luck during the final days of the season! Those were some amazing fish.
Unreal man what a great great video!!!! Love to see this action, the camp set up was very cool ultralight and just really great effort to get back there with a canoe!! Well done my friend haha love the end visit them all before I’m dead!!!! You and me both stay healthy
That was a catching trip, had my lines tight for 4 days..still on a high from it all. Ate Martin's potato rolls and mountain man kielbasa for half my meals. Slept easy in a hammock and woke for a repeat. Too bad the season ends but on to deer hunting and then ice fishing. No grouse seen tho..surprised me.
This is awesome man! What a day for you. You caught some beauties for sure ! My buddy Craig , from Cragdwella recommended your channel to me. Just subbed ya. Great video
@@NatureIntoAction hit up a pond in southern hamilton county. Ive fished it before but never got a bite. Although this time my buddy and i both caught our limit and had one hell if a time.
Another great video, I'm really jealous I was planning a fall trip before the season closed. But I had a chance to pick up a 110 acre hunting lease I been working on for a couple of years and that took my time and money. But there's always next year. Lol.
Haha, if you know you know.. I tried to keep it concealed with good footage cut to not reveal.. the fish were biting well all 4 days I spent in the park, made up for plenty of the zero days in my past.
They just kept getting bigger and prettier! I caught my first one this summer and I swear I can still smell it on my hands, haha. I didn't know they get their darker colors later in the season.. just learned that here man. 👍
Ohh yeah, sexual dimorphism too, the changes really highlight differences between male and females. Males get that orange belly, black throat, kype extended lower jaw... all colored up with autumn.
@@NatureIntoAction I have so much to learn about fishing in general! It was so cool just seeing your excitement and wanting to see those other ponds. You captured that feeling only the ADK can provide!
Pick almost any pond within the Adirondacks and you'll find brook trout. Spring is good shore fishing. Try Lapland Pond and others on that trail near Lake George..let me know how you do. I havn't been yet.
I was wondering if this is a catch and release pond only, or is there a minimal size limit? Seems like a few of those would be perfect for frying on the fire?
I spend years exploring remote and more popular canoe routes in the Adirondacks with a couple different Hornbecks. One was an early kevlar version and a later one was the carbon blackjack. I have been traveling the West for the past 4 years in a truck camper but hoping to get back there next year. Miss it a lot. Nothing out here compares. Mainly hideous reservoirs in the western US.
Can keep 5 a day but I was able to release them all there. The next day I had gut hooked a smaller eater size one and ate it..just figured it would happen and that would determine my keep.

Great video! How do you choose the lake clear wobbler color and the length the leader? Thanks!
Great vid and audio!
Thanks Bud🦅
Love the videos, was curious what material your superfly tarp is? Is it the silpoly or silnylon?
Thx. Silnylon I think.
Great video! What size is the Hornbeck?
Thx, 12ft classic
I don’t want to know your specific spot but can you point me in the direction of some decent spots for brookies and other species of trout ?

Havn't

Thanks. Go gold n silver and 18" to a barbless hook like a wooly bugger. That'll catch.
