As far as the video and noise is concerned, wouldn't it be a good idea to press record and then allow the auto focus to take effect before actually beginning your video and edit the beginning out later? Would that work?
Hi, just bought this 4000d with a 70-300 zoom lens for the Mrs. She said that you can't zoom in and out with the + or - button only manual on the lens. Is that true, it doesn't have a powered zoom. Cheers

I asked my grandad to get it for me for Christmas because next year I will be doing photography in year 9 and we use Nikon cameras so I decided to go with the newest camera so I can learn more before I do my photography lessons so I think that everything you talked about is really helpful :)

Great informative video JD, i have a seven year old Canon powershot A1200, takes great photos, would use it to take video but it simply eats up batteries.
Thanks Paul bud, yes it shocking that so many good cameras get over looked because of their age. My Nikon D3000 was 9 years old when I sold it and upgraded. 😀👍

I am really disappointed after buying Canon 4000d. My Samsung A30 takes better picture than this. I don't know if the default lens,18-55, is not enough or what. My goal was to take those bright, high-resolution and blurred background photos, but it proved to be the worst. Anyone professional can help me on this?(I am a beginner)

in the settings, I believe you can adjust focus quicker by using the shutter button? did you do it that way?

Hey KT yes mine had sound, only a mono mic from what i remember but sound it had as i used it to record some videos for the channel.

Can you do “light writing” with it? Ive been wanting to buy this camera but I want to make sure I can change the aperture and shutter speed.
Amanda you can have the shutter speed from slowest 30" up to fastest of 1/4000 aperture f stop goes from f3.5 to f22 and the iso goes from 100 to 6400
