I watched a lengthy story about this recently... Not sure if it was YT or tiktok... Its very very strange. I seem to remember it saying she doesn't speak English well, and that rarely went out, never mind go out and never come back. On top of that, not having taken anything with her? No way. I hope they are able to get him on something eventually.
Yes!! It's so insane. She clearly didn't run away without any of their credit or debit cards. And he doesn't know the hospital name? I feel so sorry for her family. He clearly did it.

What are your thoughts on crime in Japan vs America. I was an ALT for a few years in Taiwan, and it was the safest place I've ever been. I'd imagine Japan is similar??
Right?? I’m shocked. I feel like for some reason the police don’t want to go after him? It’s really a terrible coverup. I’m glad Ellie has her extended family but she must be so traumatized😰. And oh that’s awesome! I went to Taiwan and it was a blast! Japan is definitely safer by a long shot- but they have some crazy true crime cases that I want to cover! 💜
@@sarahasmr7067 Oh, definitely would like more Japan content. Even random cultural things! I arrived in Taiwan during what is colourfully known as "ghost month"... it was quite the culture shock (but amazing)
Maybe I'm completely off the mark here ... but is it possible that he's trying to cover up his wife's suicide? It's only relatively recently that mental health has really hit the forefront in many Asian countries, so if she's from an earlier generation, I could absolutely see her not wanting to 'burden' her daughter with the stigma of having a mentally ill family member and asking her husband to cover the whole situation up. Obviously he's done a terrible job of it if that's the case, but the emphasis on not telling the family actually smacks more of lingering pride than pure deceit to me. Irrespective of whether he's covering up a murder or a suicide, I do hope he tells all soon to give the closure this family so badly needs.
Great voice Great stories but the mic touching just ruins it for me like scraping fingernails down a blackboard ......shudder......so distracting from your perfect voice level but others seem to like it so guess this just isn't the channel for me but good luck with it x
