WOW! Congrads! The seller had no idea what his books were worth. I hit it big once myself. But the books were mainly coverless copies. But I knew a few big dealers I got a great deal with them. They had some few of those key grail issues with double covers. They even had me remove the double covers and put them on the coverless ones. I'm pretty much a pro at gently removing.Replacing covers, damaged missing pages and staples too. It's nerve wracking to do but, but I once picked up five or six Hulk #181s with the stamps cut out. I eventually got those fixed. By picking up coveless or badly damaged copies with bad covers. But all had the pages with the stamps intact. So I took out those staples and replaced the cut out pages with the intact ones. It took around 8-10 to fix all six but I did it. I found two customers too. Who traded comics with me. So I could restore/repair those types of issues also. I payed $60 once for three huge boxes. Not really knowing what I was going to get. I made $5,500 off those books. Had to repair some too, but ended up eventually getting a complete New X-Men run for them. GS X-Men #1, #94-#200. The books I had in the big boxes were Avengers #1-#4, Amazing Spider-Man #1, X-Men #1 these were all coveless. Probably one or two coverless Hulk #181s too. Showcase #22-#24 first Hal Jordan GL GL #1-#60ish all vf plus too. The rest were mainly Archies, funny books, like Jughead and Classic Illustrated though. A man was waiting outside a comic store. The owner never opened up due to really cold weather. The old man approached me after weboth sat there for like 30 mins freezing in our cars. He just wanted the books out of his car. He was angry the owner never showed up. So he told me make me a offer and their yours. All I had on me was $60. I figured he'd say no thanks. But he said sold now just get them out of my car so I can get some food and get home. Just lucky and dumb luck.
What worries me about a collection like this is it being stolen books. Nobody in the collection business puts books in binds or has them in a messy and confused order. Anyone can look at values on the web and get a feel of what they are worth. Glad the books went to a true collector. Be careful out there buying collections.

This is exactly the kind of stuff I collect, House of secrets swamp thing tomb of Dracula etc. this would be my dream collection to come across. By any chance do you have an online store? Being willing to pay a little more for collections can open alot of doors. Ok I've seen the ECs, this has ben upgraded to an epic haul.
