In which Jon from Good Buddy Fly Fishing ventures out on his own in the first video without Steve. Jon was in search of rainbow trout and brown trout at Buford Dam on the Chattahoochee River.
I have been watching this channel for a while now. I just have to say that there's not a Fly Fishing channel out there that makes me feel like I'm there fishing with. Keep it up, Trout aren't going to catch there selves!
Nice video, Jon! I live near Bowmans Island and learned how to fly-fish all around where you were filming. Great to see you catching a lot of fish - definitely more than Steve would have caught :-)
Sometimes ya just gotta get after them stocky boys! Lol. Maybe you’ll catch a bigger fish just swingin buggers, that works downstream! Keep em comin! 🐟🐟🐟
I work in John's Creek and people keep telling me to go to Burford Dam to catch trout. I am planning to try the Hooch on my way home one day, but I have not made plans yet for the Dam... Cool trip, but it's hard to move forward without your buddy...
I would love to fish in Maine. Could definitely check a bunch of species of the list there. The only problem is, my wife has asked me to go there in the fall for about 17 years. If I went up there fishing without her I may never fish again.
@@GoodBuddyFlyFishing The least he could do would be to hop on here once in a while and talk trash. Isn't that what he used to do in the videos anyway? Lol
School…..bummer. Hope y’all can make one together soon. What rod are you using? Wait are you saying Steve and you are not doing these anymore.? I remember a move but really….on man say it ain’t so☹️enjoyed anyway.
Steve is pretty busy with his Heimler's History channel. I am sure we will fish again and film something someday. I was using an old 2 piece Sage RPL in this video. Thanks for coming along with me.
Is it sad that I could tell everywhere you were and where you should be casting even after not fishing there for a year plus? How dare you Y2K the dam in July. Great to see the mega drift still lives.
Love me some trout in the morning fog! Thanks for continuing the journey. Keep at it Jon!
Thanks! Will do!
“That’s a Steve-release.” Classic! Thanks for posting the video.
No problem. Thanks for watching.
Nice job with your solo fishing video 👍🏼. That’s the most fish You’ve caught so far. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it. It was a good day.
Good to see you back, John. I'm heading to NC in October and will wet a line in the Boone area for the first time.
That's awesome Greg. Let me know how it goes. I've never fished in Boone.
Nice Work Jon!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.

Absolutely
I appreciate that!
It's like FPV! :)
Feel you, fishing is always more fun with a good buddy. If you’re ever out west I’d tag along for some fishing!
For sure!
That looks like a super fun river, loved the fog!
That's one of my favorite things about the dam in the warmer months. Water in the 50s make for some great fog.
TURNED INTO A FAN I LOVE THESE KIND OF VIDEOS !
That's awesome Alex, thanks for coming along with me.
Great Video. That casting by the trees was epic!
Thanks 👍 I love it up there.

Thanks Rob. Some days can be really good up there.

Good video! I really enjoy your videos! Good job
Awesome, thank you!
I got worried and thought Steve was no longer with us. Leave your sun glasses on.
He is still with us. Just busy and had to step away. Talked to him today.

If the conditions at Jones Bridge are good, I prefer to go there. But I love this river.
Great video 👏👏👏
Glad you enjoyed it
Come on up and fish Maine! I’ll be a stand-in buddy!

@@GoodBuddyFlyFishing little fish & family trip! Nothing a can-do attitude can’t figure out! Pleeeeenty of things for everyone
great to see you, maybe Steve could make some comments too
I wouldn't be surprised if he sneaks in a low blow type comment at some point.

WHERE IS STEVE!!
He had to step away from making the videos. He is super busy with his history channel. He's a full-time youtuber now.
@@GoodBuddyFlyFishing what's Steve's history channel on here called? Huge fan of both you guys and would love to support what you both are doing

The mega drift will forever remain in the arsenal.
