Looks good Kerry. I have been doing a lot of streaming the past month or so. Love watching you guys...best reality show going and no camera crew following you around all day. All you need is Kerry and a camera.
Something you might consider doing Kerry is taking something like Thompson's Water Seal and small paint brush and painting your grout lines with it. We did it on our bathroom tiles above the shower and behind the sink to protect and seal the grout. My friend who is a tile installer suggested it to make it look good and protect it several years ago and it is still looking just like new.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Mike, I love the attention to detail that you do on things throughout the build of your home. My husband was a master carpenter & always talked about attention to details when he was constructing something...always. He always tell a good carpenter by his attention to detail as that shows...pride in what he does.
Kerry, I love the black and white splash. Good job girl. And you are right, Mike is the only one who you want to love your artistic ideas. Love the video. See ya next Thursday or Friday or whenever, but we have to have a video because they're awesome. Be Safe
Hi Mike, Hi Kerry, I am glad you both are looking so good, and your kitchen back splash Kerry looks so good, you made it look so easy.. I hope you both have a great weekend and stay safe and I look forward to seeing you both in the next video.. Love to you both..
I mean.... We all love you Mike❤... But a little more Kerry time is always appreciated!!!! And Kerry, you rock at the tile work!!! I can hardly wait for the shower to be finished!!!
Great video..After Mike did the wood work . You took over and Showed what you can do . Tile work, shoot a video editing the video . Makes me wish I had a Kerry working on my project👍👍👍😁
That so good. Also I get the crying when you have put so much work and heart into a project and then don’t like how it looks in the end, I’ve cried too.
Looks awesome... as usual you guys are amazing... Kerry you rocked this!!... love you guys .. y'all are so inspiring ... i wait on every video you put out for us..
Wow - we love how you just dive in and try all these new things Ms Kerry. Your kitchen backsplashes turned out amazing! Little James and his Nana Debbie
Tip on painting with the blue tape.. what I do is a light dry brushing along the seem with the seem of the tape. It creates a thin paint barrier. So when you go back through with more paint on the brush it doesn't soak under the tape. Dry brushing is wiping off some paint off your brush on a piece of paper so that you just have a little bit of paint on it. And just drag your brush gently along the seem of that paint tape. Works every time for me. ❤ I dry brush my pumpkins all the time. Just a little trick. Love your bus build it's looking great guys! Keep up the great work!
Aha, thanks for the tip! No matter how many youtube videos you watch, it's hard to get all the knowledge, LOL! And then the rest comes with experience, which I can tell is where you're coming from. I swear, if we ever built a second bus, it'd be practically perfect!
Well, it's all kind of loud and obnoxious, but then, so are we, LOL!! We're just having fun with all of it... wait til you see what we do to the bedroom walls (coming soon)!
I love the tile choice! It may the black accents and appliances! It's so Mary Engelbreit! Loved her as a kid. Don't worry, I'm enjoying your attention to detail! :D
Wow..... that backsplash really pulled everything together, which is so amazing...With your arched dutch door and those colours, the back splash added the right amount of "pop" and a very whimsy look.. just like the illustrations of Mary Engelbreit...I think its perfect..and I LOVE it..!!
You said it Neil!!! I definitely didn't decorate this to look like it came out of an Ikea cubicle, LOL! It's all my weird personality through and through! ~K
Oh now THAT SPLASH IS NEAT! What’s also wonderful is how when you’re in “conceptual” mode, it really doesn’t set in as to how it’ll end up looking...then W H A M it’s finished and looks great beyond imagination 👍👍👍
This looks so great! You are both so talented and really enjoyable to watch you work. Thank you both for sharing all the incredible work you've been doing. I JUST got the rest of the seats out of my bus today and am watching all of your videos for inspiration and knowledge!
Oh, that's an interesting perspective, the wider & more spacious part! When I first propped up the tiles that way it gave me butterflies in my stomach when I looked at it, I liked it in a weird way, too! ~K
OMG, I never even thought of that, it is rather piano-esque, isn't it?! I'm honored someone would even consider copying my weird and whacky ideas, LOL!!! I like how someone else said it's "whimsical," too!
I wouldn't personally do black and white tile, but I think it looks really good with the overall kitchen design! I used to want a black and red kitchen but now I'm really enjoying idea of a 70's, light green and brown kitchen.
I love Y’all’s work. So wanting to find one and get on the road. Love your kitchen the Turquoise is my Favorite color. To the tiles amazing. You would love my Mom’s bk & white check floor in Farmhouse she gutted redid claw foot tub etc. Mike also doing a fantastic job.Im dying to find RV to now tonight 1st busses watched to loving. A widow here so got to find help. This is so in my heart and dreams right now. Beautiful kitchen.?You guys have done amazing. Love watching to may need some resources. Great Job & God Bless to happy living & travels. 👍😄
Great video! I know what it is like to have to work on something alone and try to film, prep, and do everything all by yourself! It is not easy!! But you did a great job, getting pretty creative and fun with your shots. Love the backsplash!!! Such a great idea and it fits so well!! The part where momma kitty would move had me laughing, this is our cat for sure haha
Hey guys, how's it going? I know this is an older video but there's a lot I haven't found or watched..yet but I'm still on the lookout for them.😊 I've watched a lot of other folks video but they...put me to 😴. I think the reason I like you guy's video is because of the beautiful editing that's done!👍 The way you guys break things down but not to the point of boredom..😀 I just wish I could have seen your videos in sequence...1 right after the other. Anyway, now it's like a treasure hunt, looking for your videos! One day I started watching your videos (when I 1st found them) around 3:30 one afternoon & was still watching 👀 them @ 5:00 a. m. the next morning‼️☀️‼️🌅 I'm a 💯 percent all in, excited when I come across 1 of your (🎬) videos❗ Could you do some of everyday, campfires, meeting other folks, like you did on the skooliepolooza (that was fun) & I love your mail call! Will close, for now. God bless you both & safe travels❣️
Truly awesomely done!! And such a great instructor-can’t believe you’re doing all that AND recording AND editing! 😳👏👏 BRAVO STRONG WOMAN!!!👏👏👏😁 Your design is fabulous and EXACTLY what I had in mind too..the whole “black-and-white-tile-50’s” look! I may end up painting a section of my floor in a black and white pattern...saw a family on TH-cam who created a floor by putting construction paper (colored) on the floor and sealing it!🤔 I’m not fond of the “grain” of my cork flooring; thought breaking it up might help.?🤞I had been going to just make the bathroom into the “black-and-white” look, but after seeing what you did, I’m not so sure anymore!!😳🤷🏻♀️😅 I am so glad you showed Mike putting the wood pieces up too (not that you wouldn’t!😅), as I want to do similar, only creating a small-ish space between window and another 2 pieces of wood, allowing for my hands to reach the emergency window openings (if you haven’t experimented with using them by just opening at an angle from the bottom, not lowering from the top, try it-it is fantastic during rain!!👏👏) and a kind of storage/dirt collection😜area for things like maybe vase or pencil holder..you get the idea? Anyway, as usual, you and your wonderful hubby have shown me the proper way! (Boy did I need your perfection when I made my upper cabinets..but, at least they’re done, I suppose, even if every 45 degree angle seems to somehow not match🤯🤦🏻♀️😅) I know I need to practice tiling before attempting..ditto not settling for my woodwork “finishes”...you guys are such perfectionists (in the best way), whereas I find myself happy to just have something “complete”! Ah well... I’m still hoping to hire you two to come to Pennsylvania (possibly best parking spot I think I’LL ever have as far as view and water/electric/WiFi availability.. PLUS had a Mama Amish Workhorse give birth to twin mules right outside my bus, and there’s not much cuter than a baby mule, I’ve gotta say🥰) and help me finish this bus when you finally start traveling!🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤩 As it is, I feel I ought to pay you for all the knowledge I’ve gained from watching your videos; (if I weren’t on disability, I absolutely would be a regular donator to your “project”) hope to pay it back-or at least forward-someday, someway!👏👏. Love you guys-looking forward to next one! ✌️💚 @makeitsobus (IG)
It’s looks really nice. You have a great sense of style. This bus in uniek in every way. One of a kind build. But I don’t wanna sound as a bad person. All week I have been waiting on part two. Of the paint job. Hahahah.
I'm not sure if you are aware but your grout manufacturer makes a sanded grout for use in areas such as the run between the back splash and where the tile meets the wood counter-top. It will seal that area and also is flexible (caulking) so it will help with cracking. Love the tile (Bill - the guy you gave the sticker to in the Mexican food restaurant - retired contractor).
Here in the UK, instead of grout, we would run a bead of silicone at the base of the tiles and up the inside corners - to stop water and other spills seeping down between the tiles and the worktop. Grout tends to crack in corners. You don't seem to do that in the US?
Your drill/impact should not smell burnt for how new they are. Not sure if you have the brushless or not, but if not it sounds like your brushes might need to be replaced. If you have the XR series (brushless) drill/impact, then something else is wrong. Regardless, if you’ve had the drill/impact less than a year, you should take them back to the store and get a new set, or contact Dewalt as there shouldn’t be any burnt smell! Bus looks great!
Beautiful work. You two are a great team. How much do you want for Bussy, if you two ever decide to do another build for yourselves. I'm saving just in case. 🙂
It looks absolutely amazing!.. this whole project is amazing, I’m going to be curious as to how all the tile work holds up from the beating of going down the roads.. 😎🍻
You need a little strip of trim painted the blue/green color at the top going from the upper cabinets to the trip above the frig and on the other side as well to tie it all in together. I know it's a little bit of a curve but I think it would finish it all out.
Tile looks awesome Kerry. 👍👍👍
I like the black & white tile set up!
The tiling looks fantastic Kerry
Top job guys Regards John
Looks very nice
Looking good girl..xx
Looks wondrous!
Looks great
Wonderful job, missed you big guy. Can’t wait to see the bus painted. You have a great wife. Love your videos!!
Love it.
Great job Kerry!
You guys are so cute!!!
Looks good Kerry. I have been doing a lot of streaming the past month or so. Love watching you guys...best reality show going and no camera crew following you around all day. All you need is Kerry and a camera.
I would try using a paintbrush to fill the grout in. won't hurt to try next time. looks great Kerry.
Like a marriage....it’s the small details that can make a big difference.
I am a new subscriber. I live the tile, and I live the dish rack over the sink. The arch doorway! So pretty.
Awesome job Carrie, you rocked it. 👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Love the tile!
Great funky look love it.
Love the tile - color & layout. Also love the street sign on the bus !
Very nice job and this kitchen is becoming quite fancy
Kerry got skills! Everything is looking awesome!✌️😎
I like to call all the little details jewelry, makes for perfect work and is always so worth the effort and time, always!
great job and thanks for doing a very entertaining and fun job. We are using a lot of your ideas on our bus. thank to you and mike.
Beautiful Job!!!

You did great Kerry
This black and white tile is a good idea. Indeed, a 1950s look that is also found in the color of the closets. Perfect !
Looks really good I love it
Thanks! 😁
The tile definitely gives it that 50’s dinner feel! I really like it! Wow
Beautiful!!!
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Mike, I love the attention to detail that you do on things throughout the build of your home. I LUV the checker-board tile back-splash. It goes perfectly with your kitchen cabinets. Well done.
The tiles add a REALLY FUN energy to the place! 👍
Kerry, I love the black and white splash. Good job girl. And you are right, Mike is the only one who you want to love your artistic ideas. Love the video. See ya next Thursday or Friday or whenever, but we have to have a video because they're awesome. Be Safe

Looks great!
Great job on the tile, love the contrast.
a caddie behind the backsplash and oven area against the window that is removable for cooking equipment would be cool
Great video..After Mike did the wood work . You took over and Showed what you can do . Tile work, shoot a video editing the video . Makes me wish I had a Kerry working on my project👍👍👍😁
Getting close to the of the build you should have a contest on how much the bus is going to weigh
Love the Louder with Crowder mug. Kerry is awesome, change my mind.
😆😁🥰
Wow wow wow wow with those tiles and the color of your cabinets it got that 50s diner Deco look I love it.
✌🤙❤👨🍳🎅🚌s
WOW ~ YESSSSSS!!! That is the look I love and was trying to "hint at" with this idea!
That so good. Also I get the crying when you have put so much work and heart into a project and then don’t like how it looks in the end, I’ve cried too.
The emotion is real! Glad to know someone gets it!
Great job on the backsplash, it looks cool.
Fantastic job Kerry. The bus is looking amazing.

Nena
I knew that would be the idea for the tiles. "I can't decide wether to go with the black or the white, why not both? "Lol... Looks great!
Yep! I tried it by just propping up the tiles in place, and the black and white was love at first sight!
@@BussyMcBusface plus who doesn't love the dinner look? And it being in a schoolie.
Well done! It looks great.
Awesome job Kerry, love the shirt!
Fricken looks awesome, great job......
Love it
Wow is all that comes to my mind. I like the outside color also.
i am in love :) amazing tiling :)
Looks absolutely terrific - really completes the look.
I didn’t really like the color of the cabinets, but somehow, the black and white backsplash ties the whole thing together nicely! Well done!
Well, it's all kind of loud and obnoxious, but then, so are we, LOL!! We're just having fun with all of it... wait til you see what we do to the bedroom walls (coming soon)!

Kerry, you are a girl who knows what she likes. Anybody doesn't like what your'e doing, balls to them. You rock!!
You said it Neil!!! I definitely didn't decorate this to look like it came out of an Ikea cubicle, LOL! It's all my weird personality through and through! ~K
Have you thought about a small black and white tiled rug for that area?
Oh now THAT SPLASH IS NEAT!
What’s also wonderful is how when you’re in “conceptual” mode, it really doesn’t set in as to how it’ll end up looking...then W H A M it’s finished and looks great beyond imagination 👍👍👍
Perfection is worth the wait! :)
The tiles look fine
Really love the look now you ought to do you kitchen table, I think it would really bring it together
i agree. the look for the kitchen table could 'replace' the look for the kitchen floor
This looks so great! You are both so talented and really enjoyable to watch you work. Thank you both for sharing all the incredible work you've been doing. I JUST got the rest of the seats out of my bus today and am watching all of your videos for inspiration and knowledge!
It's an interesting contrast. I like it. It has an offical effect that makes the bus kitchen actually look wider and more spacious.
Oh, that's an interesting perspective, the wider & more spacious part! When I first propped up the tiles that way it gave me butterflies in my stomach when I looked at it, I liked it in a weird way, too! ~K
Play checkers or piano lol Kerry you did it again...great look...I love this. Beware I may copy it LOL
OMG, I never even thought of that, it is rather piano-esque, isn't it?! I'm honored someone would even consider copying my weird and whacky ideas, LOL!!! I like how someone else said it's "whimsical," too!
I need to know more about the air driven vice you have rigged on your Kreg Jig.
Another great video!
I wouldn't personally do black and white tile, but I think it looks really good with the overall kitchen design! I used to want a black and red kitchen but now I'm really enjoying idea of a 70's, light green and brown kitchen.

I never would have done black white there, but it looks sooooo good.
I want to Be Like Mike! My name is Mike so that's a pretty good start!
It’s looks really nice. You have a great sense of style. This bus in uniek in every way. One of a kind build. But I don’t wanna sound as a bad person. All week I have been waiting on part two. Of the paint job. Hahahah.
Looking good guys!!👍 How many times do you think you go in an out of the bus in a day working on it?? That would wear me out just doing that!!😥😄😁
Now i know how to do it in my kitchen....
Tkx. Looks asseme

Oh, that's an interesting idea, I see what you mean! We'll consider that!
I just hope the heat from the stove doesn't break the glass in the winter time.
As do we my friend... as do we! 😂
I predict a road trip in the near future.
a bondo squeegee would've been a better choice for the grout....but that worked too
