Attentive viewer - anewman1976 suggested that it would be more correct to indicate as the author of the Adagio (Oboe Concerto in D Minor) not Bach, but Marcello or Bach/Marcello(if this was keyboard version). I apologize to those who were confused by this.
Thank you for this clarification. I have no luck with the Adagio)) A few months ago I was caught making a mistake in the Albinoni/Giazotto duet and now Bach/Marcello ..
I think this was one of your best quizzes so far sir, and Introduced me to some lesser known pieces, such as the Bruckner one. Thank you for brightening up a Sunday evening and as always, blessings and peace.
Of course, this is a mistake and it's Marcello and Not Bach.. unfortunately, this happens to me from time to time, especially when I’m in a hurry to release a new video and don’t check myself carefully enough.
I like these quizzes, but you sort of messed up... The Bach, is The Oboe Concerto in D minor, S D935 by Alessandro Marcello. Yes you could argue for familiarity call it 'the Bach oboe concerto in d minor', but in reality In his Weimar period (1708-17) Bach arranged several concertos by Venetian composers, most of them by Antonio Vivaldi, for solo keyboard, known as his Weimar concerto transcriptions. THAT is the actual Bach arrangement. Again love your channel but be accurate.
Yes, you are absolutely right - this is my mistake or flaw. It was not entirely correct to indicate Bach (and not Marcello). Recently (in the autumn) I began to make more mistakes in quizzes than in the summer. Thank you very much for such a correct comment. I'll try to be more accurate, but I won't re-upload the video. I’d rather read the comments of attentive users on this error))
14/15. - I correctly identified the "national style" for #7 and went with the obvious composer from that country. So then #8 kind of rubbed it in my face when it was instantly recognizable as the guy I just guessed. I suspect some folks might do something similar with #12-13, but #12 was just a little too weird to be by the other composer. And yeah, should really be the Marcello oboe concerto, but with only one Baroque composer listed, it was obvious what the intended answer was.
12/15. I didn't know the Strauss or the Berlioz, and couldn't remember the composer of the Rachmaninov piano concerto although I recognised the music! Having lesser-known composers from time to time is a good idea. It makes the quiz more interesting.
Thank you for your feedback. Usually 1-2 unknown composers do not cause interest among the public, but a bunch of dissatisfied comments “Who are they?” But in principle it suits me))
3 is Alessandro Marcello's Oboe Concerto, that later was adapted by Bach for the keyboard. Bach did not make the oboe concerto, this is only Marcello's original work
Yes. You are absolutely right, here I incorrectly indicated the author; it would have been more correct to indicate Bach/Marcello(only for keyboard) or Marcello

Bach Marcello is for the keyboard version. Not Bach AT all in this version.

@@adiosmusictest Don't worry! Their music comes from the heavens in any case sir!
Blessings and peace.

Thank you. Perhaps our tastes partially coincide, because I also like the music from this quiz for the most part.
@@adiosmusictest Great minds think alike! Haha
12/15 ok, I suppose but I missed both Shostakovich and Prokofiev’s somewhat less well known works. Great quiz!
In any case, you have a great result, thank you for your feedback!
11/15, Marcello has been figured out. Bach's transcription sounds nice on organ BTW.

14/15, I did not recognize Verdi. Some others where "last-minute" guesses. Good one!
I deliberately chose this fragment from Verdi to spoil your perfect result))
I agree that this one was easy. (Always fun, though!)

Thank you. It's great to learn from the mistakes of others, but sometimes I have to learn from my own mistakes. This is probably inevitable))
11/15 ; very nice test!
Thanks for another fun quiz. I got 12/15 correct.
As usual, thank you for your feedback and good results!

12/15. Is this the closest I've come to a perfect score?
12/15: I can't believe I didn't recognise A Midsummer's Nightdream despite having pratically memorised the movie.

7/15…not my best.
6/15, not a good one for me.
