Ich kannte auch alle Komponisten und Werke, außer Brahms. Von Brahms kenne ich 4 Sinfonien, mehrere Lieder und Klavierstücke aber nicht dieses Musikstück.
Nice quiz and thank you for compiling it. I am not boasting about getting all the questions right what was great was the taking part in the quiz. Thank you for putting this quiz on line.
1. J.S Bach (Eisenach, Jerman) 2. L.V Beethoven (Jerman) 3. W.A Mozart (Jerman) 4. Frederic Chopin (Poland) 5. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (Rusia) 6. Johan Strauss II 7. Johannes Brahms 8. All of the selected are among the composers' most popular works... but the choice for Brahms is a bit odd. From his violin concerto, his 2nd symphony, the clarinet quintet, Hungarian Dances, lullaby, Academic Overture... The Capriccio IMHO is nowhere as well known.
I got 11/15... but just because whenever I hear piano playing I associate it immediately with Schubert and therefore I failed with Chopin (that would've been my second guess when his piece was played), Satie and Brahms, and with Prokofiev I guessed Shostakovich (so my thoughts were into right direction, right?). Perhaps I need to practice other 40 hours a day these composers and their works ;)
To way informative and cultural compoto the following thing: I share them that Carmen's composer of the Havananera, is not George Bizet, he is Sebastian Díaz of Iradier. Bizet being friend takes it without authorization and I mount it in their famous one Carmen it operates. Look and search the quartet for strings "el Arreglito" arrangement for Irradier Díaz that was written before the Havanan one. Thank you.
Shouldn’t there be more obscure pieces by those composers? Using the most famous pieces by each composer doesn’t really make for a very fun or challenging game.

I know it’s guess the composer, but including the name of the song would have been really nice information.
It's truly remarkable how these compositions have stood the test of time and continue to inspire countless musicians and music enthusiasts around the globe.
Prokofiev, not Profokiev.
Good, thanks you have saved me the trouble to write in. Hope they change it as he deserves to have his name correct.
Enjoyed that! Brahms tripped me up, as others found out the same. Thank you for posting.
Ich kannte auch alle Komponisten und Werke, außer Brahms. Von Brahms kenne ich 4 Sinfonien, mehrere Lieder und Klavierstücke aber nicht dieses Musikstück.
Loved it. Do it with another great composers like Debussy, Schubert etc.
Argh, the Brahms one totally stumped me. The piece didn't sound characteristic of Brahms' works, but hey, I guess I learn something new every day.
That's the only one I didn't get. It did sound more modern.
Me too ^ I got them all except that one. I'll be honest I thought it was a Handel piece
Nice quiz and thank you for compiling it. I am not boasting about getting all the questions right what was great was the taking part in the quiz. Thank you for putting this quiz on line.
Is it normal to know the name of the pieces too?
And the lyrics of "Carmen Habanera"?
No, it's special 😉 !!
I too was singing Habanera, but didn't won all, some lost in memory, others i didn't knew, congratulations! for had win all.
No that's not very weird
same 😭😭😭 I can’t hear it in the background of any video and not go LaMoUr eSt Un OiSeAu rEbElLe
That just means this test is way too easy for you... and also for me.
I love this!! More please
Nailed it,but including the title of each composition would have been nice.

14/15 - not bad but thought one was Liszt and it was Brahms.
Impressive Joanne !! 🙌
same here!!
Same miss, I thought it was Debussy
I said the same thing, hahaha!
thought that was Schostakovich
Thank you for this Composer Music Quiz. I enjoyed it. I did not answer only to question 7!
Very good video! Thanks!
Can I ask for another one? Classical music?
Nice suggestion, thanks Eva, will work on that one!
@@TheQuizChannel Thanks!
Thanks again for the quiz
Why do some of these pieces sound like they were recorded on a potato
13/15. I got most of the Romantic period composers wrong. I have yet to study that era.
Got 14/15. I didn't get the Brahms one which is annoying cos he is in my top 2 favourite composers.
Nearly perfect 🙌🏻 !!
I also got the exact same thing
same
Yeah for all the composers it was their most well known piece except for brahms, so I didn't get it either.
Almost all the way through I said "That is creative" or "wow" and whatnot. Great video!
15/15. Very easy!
All of the selected are among the composers' most popular works... but the choice for Brahms is a bit odd. From his violin concerto, his 2nd symphony, the clarinet quintet, Hungarian Dances, lullaby, Academic Overture... The Capriccio IMHO is nowhere as well known.
Thanks for sharing 😃 nice analysis
Thanks! Great quiz! ❤
I got all of them right except the Brahms
15/15 baby. brahms was a bit of a lucky guess, lol.
WELL DONE !! 👍
lol I guessed Jenö Hubay on Bizet's piece because I'm used to hearing Hubay's Carmen: Fantasie Brillante
Yes!! I love Hubay's Carmen Fantasy too! My favourite recording is Chloe Chua's. It's just amazing to me a 12 year old can play that beautiful
Can you add some tips or choices ?
12/15. I knew all the pieces except the Brahms, but forgot Bach and Satie
14/15 - I did not know the piece by Brahms
That one stumped me too even though it felt familiar.
I only knew 4, Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, and Strauss.
what is 7th piece called?
8 Klavierstücke, Op. 76 II. Capriccio in B minor
To way informative and cultural compoto the following thing:

10 score
Too easy
14/15 I didn’t recognize Brahms at first
Shouldn’t there be more obscure pieces by those composers? Using the most famous pieces by each composer doesn’t really make for a very fun or challenging game.
So true! In this video, I know the name of the pieces before I think about the composer xD
10/15.
What song is #9?
14/15. The Brahms got me.
14/15 no identifiqué a Brahms 🙁
I think you should incorporate less known works so it's actually hard. I am surprised not all on here got 15/15.
Weil viele dieses weniger bekannte Musikstück von Brahms nicht kannten. Ich auch nicht.
There are harder quizzes on TH-cam. We get it your very cultured but leave us plebs have a little fun
15/15 I'm an intellectual!
Yes !! 🙌
Same here!
Nah bro. You’re just smarter than the average person that doesn’t even know what opera is
12/15
#8 is Antonio Lucio Vivaldi
7/15. Not too bad ,ha?
not too good either
@@chacharealsmooth1632 What’s your result then?

Me too!
I knew nine of them.
12/15 :)
I had 13 out of 15, but shouldn't 14 be Debusy in stead of Satie?
It's Satie for sure.
Ugh, can't believe I messed up the bolero and said stravinsky... I was getting rite of spring vibes thats why
How on earth did you mess up the ravel bolero, its so repetitive
Got 14 out of 15. I missed Grieg I confused it with Dvorak's new world.
Can I suggest other more known themes?
And the name of the piece too?
I think I'll be fun.
number 8s name pls
4/15. not my area of expertese lol

Bro, people need to differ classical music from other era's music
So how is classical music then called if it is composed in these days? Cinematic? Classical music is a genre, not a musical era.
@@HomoEucharistica Actually it's both, depending on usage.
Holy shit the recording on Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet is bad
Theres billions of classic composers
Bach is from the baroque area, not a classical composer
Good for beginners. But too unchallenging for experts.
Satie
Thanks (not) for not naming the pieces. That's truly abysmal.
Baby Bach football team
Grieg
Rossini

That’s right, my bad!
Some of these are not classical composers, but rather romantic composers
Profokiev
Beethoven
Ravel
not Frederic but fryderyk
Why the muzack in between? Annoying!

A lot of these are from the baroque era, not classical
Aber Klassische Musik ist der Oberbegriff, dazu gehören Barock, Klassik, Romantik, auch moderne.
