I'm going to be honest - the doll suspended upside down in the dye pot really had me laughing at how weird this process can be sometimes. Happy Halloween!
I love your work! Suggestion for next year's Halloween: a phantom of the opera doll. I think it would be a cool concept, especially because you don't usually make male dolls (Edit: typo)
Ooooh man yes! Especially with a removable mask? Some of the really gaunt looking boy-sculpts could make a fantastic Erik! (Plus then an excuse to make Christine with all her pretty pretty dresses?? XD )
YES!!! If she did make him, I imagine it'd be the broadway costume, but I'd love to see the Fate/Grand Order version brought to life. My man doesn't even have a figure yet,,
It would have been very interesting to take advantage of the huge eyes of this paticular type of doll by opening them up and making a scene in there with tiny miniature pieces, like a graveyard or the Addams House. I love how she came out.
Reminds me of bleeding edge goth dolls having Xs for the irises but I think that idea would be so cool for larger dolls like RH or even old giant MH doll repaints
What Moonlight Jewel did with her giant Amaya was interesting she took out the existing eyes separated the pieces and made in like photoshop the irises and painted the whites of her eyes (black in Moonlight's case) it's a messy long process but it did work well for her, but the drawing on the eyes is a simple and effective thing too
@@AshleyAmbrose94 im pretty sure she softens the head in boling water and then pushes the out the front ofthe head via a hole cut into the back, although im too lazy to go back and look lol
You should try doing a doll with a cooler toned contour! I think a character like Wednesday would really shine with a cool toned contour instead of a warm toned one
Like a shadow high doll but I don't think they make big versions of those dolls yet but that would be really cool to see her do it with a cooler toned doll
@@KellyBeeArtz I just meant that she tends to use warm browns to shade and contour and it can make the doll look tanner like with Wednesday. The doll started off looking pale but after the repaint looked a little tan. I think if she had used cooler toned browns to shade the doll would have kept a more pale skin tone.
I feel like I'm the only one who was super excited to see Luis Guzmán cast as Gomez. He feel like a perfect fit. Loved the doll. She looks so sweet. The hair is absolutely gorgeous too. I think you should remake her one day, and make her look more creepy. Ghost white skin, thin black hair, pale lips, sunken eyes, and signature scowl. Or maybe bake Morticia Addams based of the 2019 movie with her pointy cheeks, hips, and boobs, lol. On a side note, I can't believe you took one 5 Halloween dolls this year! They were all so spooky, and wonderful!! You are so amazing 🖤
I love her! I am actually working on my own 24" Amaya doll! Making her a fortune teller. You inspire my art constantly and I strive to have the same dedication and passion that you have. Great job!!!!
I would think the biggest challenge would be in keeping it simple/plain. I have often wondered if anyone has done a makeover of a cave person, like in the Croods. She looks awesome, the shoes were a perfect choice.
She is very pretty but she seems more like a girl dressed as Wednesday than actual Wednesday herself. She seems too bright and cheery! But I suppose that's one of the big limitations when it comes to the face sculpts of these dolls. Still she does look wonderful
I don’t know if you are aware, maybe you are. But I think this is not the Christina Ricci version of Wednesday. I think is the upcoming Wednesday movie actress. Idk.. didn’t even watch full video yet.
The original Wednesday from the 60’s acted like a normal cheery girl anyway. She stayed that way until Christina Ricci played her like a goth stereotype Edit: don’t get me wrong, I love Christina Ricci, I just hate the way she played the character. And every girl since has played Wednesday the exact same way.
You’re thinking of the 90s version of Wednesday even the new one acts the same way but the original one from the 60s didn’t sooooo that’s a valid interpretation of one of the many versions of the character
For anyone who is interested: Synthetic dye will probably work better at saturating the hair but it will also stain the doll/plastic, as she noted in the video. the regular dye doesn't (maybe if it's exposed or soaked too long) but it also takes multiple sessions to get a pure black on amaya (from my experience).
Beautiful, beautiful Wednesday Addams doll! I love the process you went through to make her. This is definitely the best Wednesday doll I've seen so far on TH-cam--it's very true to her image. If you think about making more Wednesday dolls, I am very down to buying one from you. Keep up the great work because you are very talented. Thanks for this video.😇❤
She is the cutest Wednesday I have ever seen! I know the size of this doll can be a pain for you to work with, but you nail it every single time. I would love to see more of the giant Rainbow High dolls transformed by your amazing talent. Have a great weekend, xoxo's Sandie😍
She looks awesome! Isn't it great how adding a challenge can make a plain project more exciting? This was definitely an epic Halloween season of dolls. The Jibaro siren was my favorite, with Other Mother as the second. Incredible work, as always
Wednesday-ish. I do like that the hair dye worked so well. She just looks too “alive”… like she’s the popular girl in middle school, dressed as Wednesday for Halloween. 😅👍
Very pretty Wednesday Adams. Me and my family watch you for hours. What you create isn't just dolls but art in every sense of the word. I think a cool contest idea would be to pic out a subscriber and have them send you a homemade dress or outfit using the monster high body as a template and you design a doll and accessories around the dress.
You should make her mother as a doll too would be amazing! This doll is gorgeous looking love the entire look! That doll would make a very cool gothic style witch! ❤❤❤❤❤
Of course this year was one awesome and bellisìmo Halloween. Thank you for being festive with us. We all appreciate you here at my home. And your such a beautiful human. 🎉❤😊🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
Loved this month's creations, I love how creative you got, I liked seeing how you made the sewing pattern. I especially liked the brown eyes for Wednesday - always nice to see you do non-blue eyes! My favourite was probably the Bedlam, just because of how much you modified the doll.
So excited to be the future owner of this beauty! Can’t wait to see her in person when she arrives! She will be displayed with my Sally doll (the one from last year). 💚💚💚💚🙏 I’ve been lucky!
Leaving the eye color could have been a very pretty Arwen doll too. I've attempted RIT dye to change the hair from brown to red with little success. Well done. She's gorgeous 😊
Absolutely precious! I wish I could afford to buy her. It would be so cool if the actress Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday, could see your beautiful doll!
Gotta dye the hair on mine black. It looks great. I'd love to repaint her face, but doubt my skills as I'm not remotely experienced at this. She looks 100% better than the stock model! Love it!
I was thinking you would do her doll, and have wrapped something around the letters on the heels to make them a little more substantial. Doll herself is spot on!
Poppen it’s so cool to see your process on drawing on the face on so much of a larger face canvas. Velvet and burlap are two of the worst fabrics to work with. Black always is slinky and moves around picks up lint. Burlap on the opposite end frays terribly. This is a wonderful doll. Love the brown eyes usually you do blue or another color so pretty as you say hazel eyes
Yes I think this is the first time I've seen a doll customizer on TH-cam show this neat trick! :V It's very sweet to see customizers showing new and old practices to glam up stuff! :3
This is one of my favorite makeovers. The dye worked beautifully. Wednesday is perfect. I was laughing at her hanging upside down over the dye pot. Rather startling. From Tennessee USA
Doll, beautiful even though something about the eyes throws me off. I’m thinking it’s just the size of the doll. I’m not a fan of the show customization for Wednesday. They are great! Just think customizing them like Mary Janes would fit better. Very beautiful outcome none the less.
I have to say, you are the Queen of complexion! You make absolutely amazing skin colours. Wow! The Wednesday doll is beautiful. And I love your halloween specials. So sad that the halloween special season a la poppen is already over. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next year. Mary Sanderson was my favourite of this years halloween specials. Thank you for great content! ❤ Oh and It would be lovely to see you create a Juno Birch doll.
She is SOO cute! I love how you did her hair and makeup. What a fun project! I can't wait to see your Christmas dolls! Will you do a Fall/Harvest doll? Like the God of the Harvest? That would be cute. ❤️
Wow! She turned out so adorable. I love the method you use by turning an empty oil bottle into the poison bottle. Also the skulls on her shoes look really good. I never thought about using ritz dye for doll hair. I probably would have painted her nails black instead of red, but everything else looks perfect. I really liked this video. Great work!!
I think she came out so beautiful! I really like the original doll, I think they did a great job sculpting her and I adore your repaints using her as a base!
I really enjoy how you were able to reframe the task so it was genuinely fun for you. I definitely need my projects to have some twist or challenge each time, so it was fun to see how someone else handles that.
Love how you dyed the hair and the larger canvas worked so well for you being able to make brown eyes with lots of depth. They are gorgeous. I think maybe having reshaped the lips to less of a smile would have been more fitting.
"Two-and-a-half-D eyes" really got me! I love your commentary, it makes the videos so entertaining! The doll is perfect, she absolutely looks like Wednesday! Your creations are always amazing!
This doll makeover is epic!!! You are so talented Poppen, I truly wish I wasn't terrified of dolls in real life, because I'd love one of your creations, but they really, really creep me out up close and in person, lol!!

When people say, “I’m going to wash my hair tonight” that is what I am going to picture, that shh was hilarious!!!!
@@elviciosodelavida 😂😂
I related so hard!
The shape of these dolls’ faces always make me think of the Na’vi in Avatar. That would be a cool doll to make, especially with the sequel coming out.
God! She’s beautiful, and her eyes are incredible, so dreamy. Very excellent work. I love her!
Every doll she does has the most incredible eyes! They're my favorite part of the whole process!! Her eyes always look so realistic and just stunning!
I love your work! Suggestion for next year's Halloween: a phantom of the opera doll. I think it would be a cool concept, especially because you don't usually make male dolls

Oh Gosh that would be amazing. Especially since they are closing the show on Broadway 😖

how did she get them out without damaging the doll head?
@@AshleyAmbrose94 im pretty sure she softens the head in boling water and then pushes the out the front ofthe head via a hole cut into the back, although im too lazy to go back and look lol
@@starrcasm8488 She actually cut the back of Amaya's head off and pushed her eyes in
Yeah I liked her method a lot more
You have to cut the head to get them out

One single mistake, she smiles.
Maybe she’s about to torture someone.
I agree.
I was just thinking.. it would also have been so cute to make her very annoyed
Lol....😁👍
Wednesday only smiles when she's being sadistic

oh cool! thank you!

Oooh. That’s a good idea.

Yes! Exactly my thoughts
To me she looked more like a grown-up Wednesday. Like her makeup reminded me more of morticia, especially the dark lips.
Wow, she turned out amazing! I kept looking up at my doll while watching this, now I want her hair black, lol.

this is the one i enjoy more than another’s awesome as always poppen thanks you should do more xl size dolls 🎉
OH MY GRACE! ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!
Your attention to detail is amazing ❤
Her hairstyle and her eye makeup and her outfit and her lips are very pretty
She looks so cute! As per my favorite, I love all of your dolls, but the Jibaro one was spectacular!
Those painted eyes and eye shines are so nice! I loved the music this week too. Fantastic job as always!
