Most people who are great in their craft, never really realise that they are. This bobby was one of them

He died way too young. He released some records in the Phils. Nowhere to be found now.

I really love his playing. He's like Monk if Monk was Filipino.

So Funny!! Just like the Great Dizzy Gillespie said, "dON'T PLAY LIKE i DO, IT'S WRONG!" ( MEANING his embouchure). Is the 4 bar turnaround from strait no chaser or bags groove? Anyone?

Wonderful player, and very modest. He never realised just how good he was.

Like all the greats, they did things their way. Armstrong's embouchure was incorrect. Hendrix played barre chords with his thumb. James Jamerson used only one finger, "The Hook," on bass. Bobby "The Wildman" Enriquez was the best kept secret in jazz.

Erroll garner is self taught too right?

@@jbeeyes Yes. He was unable to read music, and played by ear. He developed his style by listening big bands on records, trying to reproduce on the piano the sounds he heard.
