Well done boy! The thing I' m thinking when I read the commentaries is: " I can't understand why people want a NEW HIPER MEGA TRITON ARRANGER KEYBOARD if the price IS NOT U$$ 3.000?"""
Hmm I've never reviewed a B2 and my i3 review was a few years back, so I couldn't really comment reliably. I have a feeling that the EK would be nicer than both, though. It's very cosy to play.
This has i believe the same sound engine as the Korg PA50 and Korg microarranger.I own a Microarranger and although there was a big learning curve i know it inside out now and can knock full songs out in its 16 track sequencer in no time .I believe this is a performer keyboard with no real sequencer, i would suggest anyone after a great keyboard check out the PA50 if you can find one second hand ,or the microarranger if you can work with mini keys ,they offer the same sound quality with more features .Nice demo .
@@gearfacts Thats not a bad thing though ,its just i prefer sequencer options .I guess you can link it to a sequencer easily enough though ,if you wanted.
What do you mean he doesn't have a sequencer? Listed in the technical detail which has 12 channels..but I really did not come across any video showing it.
Haha yyyyep you are right to doubt me on that one! It's a strange patch, that one ...the velocity and timbre had a very unpredictable relationship. Anyway, I"m glad to say I resisted the temptation to use pitch bend on a saxophone sound ...that'll always turn a smile upside down...
GREAT DRAW BACK, SET LIST IS ONLY 4 REGISTRATION, COULD HAVE INCREASED TO 8, WE CANT USE THE INSTRUMENTS INSTATNTLY MORE THAN 4 IN LIVE PERFORMANCE. DEAR KORG MANUFACTURERS PLEASE DO THE NEEDFUL IN FUTURE VERSIONS.
I guess it's fall under mid entry level arranger so for live stage performance one should prefer synthesizer for better performance and they does comes with more registration memories 👍
Some of the presets in this thing remind me of the Triton. But no phantom of tine, SG1D, and M1 piano in a Korg keyboard is sacrilege in my opinion. Maybe I’m just nitpicking here.
No I think you are right. A keyboard like this which is basically a database of all the classic sounds should have all the ...classic sounds :) #gearfacts
I just bought EK59L. Struggling to understand all Setup functions. Is there any book or manual or video explaining how to select different drum (e.g. Tabla) ? Thanks.
The Limitless (from what I understand) is basically the same board, even comes with same manual, adds some ethnic styles, enhanced speaker power, and a rubberized top (instead of plastic) otherwise its exactly the same. I'm expecting my EK-50 any day now (I didn't bother with the extra $ but that's up to you)
Suppose if i have a usb with 1000 songs in it.. is this keyboard will allow me to connect that usb and load those mp3 songs.. because i have read somewhere that it will take usb with only 99 mp3 song.. so please give clarification
I have never heard about the 99 song limit, but it may be true. All I can suggest is to check that in the manual or the specifications on the Korg Website
I bought this one in november of '19. I was very expectating about it 'cuz of lots of favorable reviews. Now I have to say it kinda dissapointed me. Specially for certain features that really Made me mad. 1. It's so heavy. You cannot carry it as easily as You need from a "portable keyboard" 2. Screen is Orange and buttons light in red. Awful color combination 3. Not so good accordion sounds. It has about ten choices, but any of them are great 4. It features no good voice/choir ensemble sounds. They sound like from a cheap Casio. 5. (The one I really hate and would like You to tell me how to resolve, please, if You are able, good sir) When You select the split function, the voice You choose for the lower part (left hand) gets an irritating flanger effect that you cannot delete. I've searched but never found how to erase that effect. I really need help about it. Thanks.
This is all good information for people who are choosing what to buy, so thank you for that :) As for the Flanger problem, I never use split so I haven't experienced it. Hopefully another viewer can tell us how to fix this!
this is an Arranger Keyboard which has some great Styles. Please try to display it like such ; ie Chords in the left hand and a melody in the Right hand. It's not doing the Keyboard justice the way that your representing it. Sorry
No need to apologize, PP, it's okay. A more complete styles demo is coming, this was just the un-boxing and was never intended to be a full and complete demo. I think most viewers get that :) gf
Well the 463 is Yamaha's current mid-weight champion so I'd say it's the main competitor. They're very different boards in a lot of important ways though. More on that coming up :)
mmm yep, that's how I found it to be ...in fact I devoted a whole video to the over-complexity CT-x3000 ...Didn't enjoy doing it, but if gearfacts is going to be a serious reviews channel then it's necessary to be honest :/
@@gearfacts its ok bro. But manual is't shows the effect settings already searched. But happy for ur quick reply, ready to support gear facts. Love from india
It looked more "schmick" (as we say here) than I expected when I unboxed it, with those soft-glow lights etc, and I guess it's a good product for the price. It didn't woo me into a deep love affair though.
This keyboard is a Masterpiece. I’m thinking about buying one in the future to add it to my collection.👍🤩😎
Yep, it's technically excellent. Superb keys and speakers.
Well done boy! The thing I' m thinking when I read the commentaries is: " I can't understand why people want a NEW HIPER MEGA TRITON ARRANGER KEYBOARD if the price IS NOT U$$ 3.000?"""
It's true. The cheaper boards are really catching up.
Sounds great! Does it offer Mellotron strings or choirs?
Yep 👍
Thanks for the video. I am very curious if the action on the EK-50 is more like the action on the Korg B2 or the action on the Korg I3.

Its arranger keyboard, by the way. Hope you understand
I’m sorry I don’t follow what you mean
Hi nice vid as usual but playing chords with a classical flute... I have some doubts...

Does it have a British plug?
This one came with a US plug I think, even though I’m in Australia
Where was this unit made?
Probably Japan, but I'm not sure.
Korg ek 50 or yamaha prs e 463 ???
Personally I like the 463 as it's more fun. The Korg does have better quality sounds and speakers, though.
Should I go for Korg EK -50 or Korg Ek-50 L(limitless).... Pls suggest....

EK-50 or PSR-E373 for beginner?
EK50 if you have the money! But you won't be disappointed with the PSR-E373.

KEYBOARD TAMIL CHRISTIAN MUSICS thank you sir!

It is a revamped Korg PA-50. You're confusing with Roland's entry-level arrangers (which are in fact rebranded Medelis)
I thought Medeli was Italian?
@@gearfacts According to Wikipedia Medeli is from Hong Kong.
